《Tooth And Claw || Kellic (mpreg) ✔》Chapter 10

I sprawl out on my side on the floor in Vic and I's room in my cat form. It's been a month since Vic and I mated with each other, and I've honestly felt really different. Like, I feel really cuddly, I know cats are naturally cuddly creatures -sometimes, but, I feel even more cuddly than usual. Now that I think about it, the morning after Vic and I mated, I was acting really cuddly. I didn't think much of it then, but now that I actually think about it, it makes me wonder if the condom broke or not.
I rolled over on the floor, my tongue lolling out of my mouth, and my tail wagging. I then jumped up onto my paws and ran round in circles chasing my tail. I abruptly stopped, and sat down, scratching behind my ear with my hind leg. I then shook out my fur afterwards and jumped up. I began panting slightly, and padded into the bathroom and over to the toilet and started drinking out of it.
I suddenly stopped, lifting my head out of the toilet bowl. This isn't how cats act. That's more like how dogs act, or wolves. I get up and pad out of the bathroom slowly. Acting more cuddly than normal, the playfulness, chasing my tail, drinking out of the toilet. My ears perked up at the realization, and I went to go change back into my human form, but I stopped as I smelt Vic's scent coming close to the Pack's house.
My ears perked up and I ran over to the window, jumping up so my paws are on the window sill and looked out the window. My tail wagged happily behind me as I saw Vic walking up to the Pack's house. I let out something mixed between a meow and a bark. I shake my head at that, confused on what that even was.
I then jumped down from the window and ran out of the room. I ran down the stairs, some of the Pack walking past growling at me, but I don't care, I just want to get to Vic.
I race outside, and halt in front of Vic, wagging my tail happily and letting out a weird meow/bark again. Seriously, what is that? I shake my head. It must be from hanging round with a bunch of wolves. I jump around Vic, trying not to knock him over and cause him to drop whatever he's carrying.
"Kellin, please calm down kitten." He says, trying to walk past me. "Man, what has gotten into you lately?" He mutters. I stop. I honestly would tell him if I knew what had gotten into me lately. I don't even know what's happening to me.
I chase after Vic as I realize he's now walking through the doors of the extremely large Pack house. I walk by his side as we had back up to our room. One we're in our room, I jump up onto our bed and curl up, while Vic sets down the bags he was carrying. He then comes to sit down on the bed with me, taking his shoes and socks off, before laying down on the bed.
I move closer to him and rest my head on his chest, purring loudly. He scratches behind my ear, and I rub the top of my head against his hand, before licking his hand. He raises an eyebrow at me, and I tilt my head to the side, confused on why he's watching me like that. Like, he knows there is something wrong.

I sit up on the bed, curling my tail around my front paws and look down at him, waiting on his next move. He seems to look me over for awhile, before taking ahold of one of my paws in his hand. I look down at my paw in his hand, before looking down at his confused face.
"Kitten, is there something bothering you?" He asks. "Like, is there anything wrong?" He asks, sitting up on the bed and leaning up against the headboard.
I pull my paw out of his hand, before I quickly jump off the bed and pad over to my drawers, changing into my human form. I search one of my drawers for a pair of boxers and a singlet, after I had regained my posture from changing back into my human form.
I quickly pull the boxers and singlet on before walking back over to Vic, and sitting down on the bed next to him. I sit on my knees next to him, pulling at the end of my singlet. "V-Vic." I start. "S-something's wrong with me and I don't know what." I say, panicking slightly. "I-I'm starting to act like a dog or wolf." I say, shaking slightly. "I was even drinking out of the fucking toilet!"
He sits up on the bed more, and brings me onto his lap. He holds me close to him, and rocks us both slightly. "Wh-what if the condom broke and I'm pregnant?" I ask, fear evident in my voice. I have no idea what will happen if I am pregnant. We're not meant to crossbreed. I'm still unsure why that is, though. Damn, I need to do some research.
"Don't worry kitten." Vic whispers. "There's no way that it could've broken." He says, brushing my hair out of my face. "You're probably just acting different cause you're around a bunch of werewolves instead of werecats." He says. I nod, that could be why. But still.
"Vic." I say, looking up at him. "We need to do some research on why we can't crossbreed." I say. "Not that I'm pregnant, like you say, I'm probably just acting different cause I'm around a bunch of wolves instead of cats." I say, trying to believe myself. "Just, we need to know why, so we don't make the mistake of getting me pregnant because it is dangerous." I add.
He thinks about it for awhile, till he sighs, nodding his head. "Okay." He says. "We'll go down to the library." He decides. "They'll have books there on the code and supernatural law." He explains. "Do you want to go now, or wait till tomorrow?" He asks.
I think about it for awhile, till I decide on now. I have to know why we can't crossbreed. "We'll go now." I say.
*****
I look through countless of books, nothing explaining why werecats and werewolves can't crossbreed. There isn't even anything about it in the books on the supernatural laws, or in books on the code. I groan in annoyance, slamming the book shut, and looking over at Vic. It didn't look like he was having any luck with any of this either.
"You'd think they'd have something about it in one of these books." I say, standing up and taking the books I was searching through back to the shelves. I grabbed a few more and sat back down next to Vic. "I mean, isn't it apart of the code to never crossbreed?" I ask.

Vic looks up at me and slams the book he was reading shut. He then pushes it away from him slightly and folds his arms on the table and rests his head on top of them, before looking back up at me. "I honestly don't know." He says. "Maybe it's too dangerous and they don't even want to add why it is we can't crossbreed into any books cause a crossbreeds power would be too strong and purebred werewolves and werecats fear they'll take over the earth." He shrugs. "So they just tell everyone in the Packs and Clans never to crossbreed. Not telling them why cause they're afraid." He says. "That's my theory anyway."
"Or maybe they just don't think it's right to crossbreed." I mutter, flipping through one of the books from the pile next to me. I narrow my eyes a little as something catches my eye. "Hang on." I mutter. I examine the page closely, reading into it a little more. It said something about werewolves and werecats crossbreeding in this.
I look up at Vic to see him carrying the books he was looking through back over to the shelves and grabbing more. "Vic." I start, biting my bottom lip nervously. "This book has something about it." I say.
He stops what he's doing and turns round to look at me. "Really?" He asks, walking over to me. I nod. "Yeah." I say, looking up at him. I look back down at the book, and read what it says out loud.
"Werewolves and werecats are generally natural born enemies, and usually if one is caught falling in love with the other, it often doesn't end well. Usually with the werecat's Clan casting her out, causing her to fend for herself with no one to take care of her.
"Sometimes, the werewolf who had fallen for the werecat will leave his Pack, and live as an outcast with her, as most of the time the wolf's Pack will want nothing to do with him after they find out he's fallen for a werecat. But sometimes, the werewolf will take the werecat back to his Pack and the cat will become part of the Pack.
"At first, both the werewolf and the werecat will be completely fine, till the werecat reaches her heat. Where she'll beg her werewolf mate to perform intercourse with her. Gradually, the wolf will comply and mate with the cat.
"Like with ordinary mating between two werecats, and two werewolves, there is a chance that the female, or fertile male will become pregnant. But, the child will not be of pure werecat or werewolf blood. Instead it'll be a mixed blood. Something of which, has the potential to turn into something dangerous, and more powerful than any pureblood werewolf or werecat. This could also end up being fatal for the mother, as her body, if not strong and healthy enough, will start to become fragile, and she'll die during the child's birth.
"There has been countless cases of crossbreeding between werewolves and werecats before, but the most horrific one, occurred in the eighteenth century, where a werewolf and a werecat had mated together and the female - the werecat - had gotten pregnant.
"At first, nothing seemed to be wrong with this crossbred child, and made people think that maybe not all crossbreeds are dangerous. That is, until the child, Emmett Quinn had murdered his mother and father in cold blood and had his mind set on destroying the whole town, when he has reached his teen years.
"Emmett was to be killed before he could do anymore damage to the town then he already had. So both the werewolves and werecats worked together in destroying this monster. They had successfully killed him. Vowng that both werecats and werewolves will never crossbreed again, in fear that the child will end up like Emmett. It is also rumored that a young werecat had gotten impregnated by Emmett, but no one knows for sure, as she was never found, and she never came forward about it.
"This law still stands today, and will continue to stand. Anyone found crossbreeding, Whether it be on purpose, or on accident, will be killed, and the child terminated."
I look up at Vic. His mouth was hanging open. "I guess we know why we can't crossbreed now." He says slowly. His eyes suddenly widen, and he looks down at me. "Fuck, Kellin. This means Austin and Alan will be in trouble, and in big danger if the Cematos find them." He says. I nod. "But, just maybe their child won't be evil, and nowhere as close as to how Emmett was." I say.
Something crosses my mind, as I look back down at the book. "Quinn." I whisper. Quinn is my last name, and my family has been alive since the eighteenth century. My father's great great great great, grandmother had mysteriously given birth, no one knowing who the father of the baby was.
"Vic." I say, looking up at him. "This Emmett guy had the same last name as me." I say slowly. "And my family was around in the eighteenth century. My father's great great great great grandmother had mysteriously given birth, no one knowing who the father of the child was." I explain. "Could it be possible, that this Emmett guy is my great great great great great grandfather?" I ask. "Meaning I'm not exactly pureblood werecat?" I ask.
He looks at me for awhile, not saying anything for awhile, till he finally spoke. "I'm not sure kitten." He says. "Anyway, that could be any random last name Quinn." He says. "There might be different Quinn's out there that you are not related to." He points out.
I shake my head. "There's never been any other Quinn in history." I say. "And strangely the Quinn's with the werecats first came along in the eighteenth century." I explain. "Vic. I think there might be a possibility that I'm related to that Emmett Quinn." I say. Vic doesn't look too sure, but I can't help the feeling that I might be related to Emmett Quinn.
Could it be possible that I myself do not have full werecat blood flowing through me?

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)
