Chapter 37 || Noel

Noah was the first one out of bed, I quickly followed after him.

Not caring about the fuzzy pj pants I was wearing i rushed out of the room after Noah.

"Sarah, you need to go down to the basement, Carsten will be there to get you somewhere safe." Noah said while he grabbed my hand, dragging me down the hall and towards the staircase.

"I want to help, I can help." I replied to Noah, ripping my hand out of his.

"I'll be too worried to fight if you aren't somewhere safe, Sarah. Can you please just go with Carsten?" He asked.

Noah's eyes kept on shifting around the room as if he was waiting for someone to attack.

His eyes focused back on me, "you barely know how to use a gun, these things are going to be hard enough for me to beat, let alone you."

"You're only saying that because I'm human."

I started rushing down the hall when Noah stopped me. I could hear the screams coming from the front of the house. I needed to help. I wasn't going to be an invalid, sitting on my ass the entire time. Just because I was human, didn't mean that I wasn't able to fight.

But Noah had different ideas, grabbing my shoulders he brought me in front of him, "I don't care if you're human, Sarah. For one you are my mate, you don't have any training in defense or combat. You being human doesn't have anything to do with this."

I clenched my jaw, "So it's just me than?"

"No, it's the position you hold. If I die you need to be alive. It is vital to the packs survival." Noah said. He didn't give me time to reply when he took my hand and started pulling me down the stairs again.

He didn't stop this time when I protested. He just continued to push me around till we reached the basement entrance we had taken the other day when we went into to talk to Treesa and Tanner.

"You know what to do." Noah said to Carsten when he brought me, standing in front of him. And then he was gone.

He just zoomed off down the hall.

Carsten grabbed my upper arm, "Lets go." he said gruffly. He opened the basement door and quickly went down the stairs with me in tow.

When we got to the bottom, instead of using the door to get to the jail cells, Carsten went to the high security door on the opposite side of the other door. Putting in a code and using his hand print Carsten easily gained entrance through the first door. But much like the prison there were many more obstacles for us to go through. I think we went threw at least three more high security doors till we finally made it to our destination.

It was a simple black room with a couch, a kitchenette, bed, and a bathroom. There was another girl in the room.

"Sarah, this is my mate Noel. Stay here."

And just like that Carsten left the room. I heard him lock the door behind him, and that worried me. I knew that Lycaon was strong, I mean the amount of force he had behind him there wasn't a good chance of us winning, and that mean if Carsten locked the door, we would be stuck down here.

I looked over to Noel. I wondered if she was worried about the same thing.

She had brown, almost black, hair, model body, and looked like someone you'd see on a runway. Not to be cliche or anything but she was someone that I viewed as completely and utterly intimidating, that is in the looks department.

She was reading a book and lounging on the couch, she looked up to me, didn't smile or say anything to me, and then looked back down at her book.

To be honest she reminded me of Carsten, but in a more like bitchy way. I mean Carsten was a bitch, but he would talk about it, this girl looked like the kind that would just sit there and silently judge every move you made.

"Okay." I said, stretching out the a. I went and sat down on the couch

I looked up at the ceiling, I didn't want to think about what was going on, what Noah was doing right now. I knew it wasn't going to be good. Anything that involved Lycaon wasn't good.

The note that Lycaon left Noah. It told of what was supposed to happen to this pack, to know. I wanted to puke, like I did the first time I read it, because I knew the fate that was promised to Noah was being brought out right now, or at least was trying to be brought out.

I didn't though. Puke I mean. We were going to be locked in this room for who knows how long, and I didn't want it to stink.

"Who do you think leaked the information?" Noel asked.

My head shot in her direction. She was sitting up straight on the couch, facing me. The book she had been reading was now sitting beside her on the couch.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Well you guys were planning on attacking, they obviously heard about it, and reacted in such a manor. So who do you think leaked the information?" She asked.

I scrunched my eyebrows together, "Why are you asking this when you shouldn't have even known about the attack?" I asked her.

She rolled her eye, much like Carsten. "I'm Carsten's mate. He tells me everything."

"I can tell... And honestly I don't know anyone well enough here to know who leaked the information."

Noel scoffed. "I bet it was one of those hunters, I don't even know why Noah would trust any vital information to them."

I shrugged my shoulders and didn't say anything. When Noel mentioned someone leaking information, Treesa and Tanner did run through my head. But Carsten seemed like the more likely suspect due to his blabber mouth.

It was still late, so I was going to lay down and trying and get some shut-eye. Key word try. But that was taken out of my control when the door to the room opened and someone I did not expect was standing doorway with a sinister smile and a dark glint in his eye.
