Chapter 9 || Really want me to move?
I do believe I was drunk. Or high. Maybe I was just hallucinating. I didn't even know anymore! I think I was going to go clinically insane.
I mean how else would I end up in a vehicle with my kidnapper... bringing me home? I swear this must be some big hoax.
He was probably going to take me to the woods and murder me, I mean what was stopping him? I had clearly aggravated him. Like literally, he looked like he could kill somebody. I was too young to die, way too young.
I mean... I am sure that Dylan O'brien was waiting for me, and damn it! Noah was ruining my chances with him!
Now girls, don't get all catty about it, me and Dyl were clearly made for eachother. I mean, he had black hair, I had black hair. It was meant to be. Wait, was his hair black...? I'm not really sure; it could be a dark brown...
But anyways, back to the subject at hand.
Noah was going to kill me, or he was going to kill us. At this point I wasn't entirely sure which would win out first.
I guess I should really explain the situation we were in at the moment.
Noah was driving at enormously high speeds. Like, I swear the car was going to just spin out and we would crash into an enormous tree, and then we would all die. Just like that, a snap of the fingers, and boom; we would both be goners.
Not that I was complaining to losing an existence like Noah, I mean, I am sure that the universe of all girls being kidnapped by random dudes would be grateful. I know I would be grateful. Of course, with the car crashing into an enormous tree, well that would end my existence along with his, and i still had to win a game of hockey against Jeremy Louise. So ya know. That still had to happen.
Oh, yeah sorry about that. Jeramy is some dude that I know from like when I was two. and we are both kind of competitive when it comes to hockey. He won the last game we played together. Well technically his team did. Mine lost. So yeah, I had to beat him one more time before I died.

I should probably get on with the story.
"So..." I trailed off.
I didn't know what to say, should I even be talking at the moment? Man, who knew that talking to people could be so difficult. Of course I guess this was a special incident since he was my kidnapper, but what was I freaking supposed to say?
Ugh, life as a capturee was hard I tell you.
Noah looked over at me "What?" He said in a voice laced with anger and frustration. I guess an hour and half on the road did nothing to calm his temper.
"Well I was just sort of wondering what you are doing? Like I know that you're supposed to bring me home, and well you say that you are taking me home. But you can be very unpredictable at times. So I was wondering what was happening. Are you actually bringing me home, or are you going to kill me in the middle of the woods where no one would ever find my body? I mean thats something I wouldn't really put past you, you know since you clearly like the taste of my flesh and all." I said. “But wait! That wouldn’t work, because technically you wouldn’t have to hide my body, since, well you would have eaten it.”
I heard Noah let a low growl, something that did not sound human, at all. I was beginning to think back to my earlier assumption that he was like a werewolf or something. I mean what else would make that sound? It was the only logical explanation!
Okay, I was officially losing my mind here. Where these crazy ideas come from I have no idea. Oh wait, that's right; Teen Wolf.
I really needed to stop watching shows like that, they were bad for my brain cells.
But then again, I don't think I would be able to survive without my Stiles fix. It was an essential part of my life. I really don't know how I had lasted the these past two weeks without it.
Back to the strange growling noises emitting from Noah's vocal cords.
"How many times do I have to tell you, I. Am. Not. Going to kill you damn it." Noah said.

Oooookay buddy, no need to freak out over a simple question.
I glanced over at him, I could see his knuckles going white from holding the steering wheel so tight.
Maybe I should stop talking?
Okay, no more talking Sarah.
And I did stop talking, meticulously actually. For the next two and a half hours to be exact.
Of course, it was inevitable that we would pull over after a while to fill the tank up. We stopped at the same town where i had been caught. To think now I was actually being brought home, instead of being captured again.
It was a huge relief.
Of course, there was still a chance that Junior Albert Fish could take me into the woods and eat me. But from the looks of it, we were going for something a little more greasy.
We pulled up to the greasy diner where Treasa and me stopped at last time. This time I didn't really have to worry about anybody catching me, I just had to make sure that Noah didn't kill me.
And now that I think of it, it is a bit more troubling than being caught.
Parking the car, Noah climbed out first. coming around to my door. But before he could open it, I did it first.
Slamming the door shut behind me. I looked at Noah.
"Are you going to move?" I asked, you see me and him were sort of caged in. There were cars on either side of us, a building behind me, and he was blocking my way out of the wedge.
He simply crossed his arms. His biceps bulged.
And damn girl, were they amazing biceps.
Okay. No, we are not thinking about that right now. Nope not happening. That thought is never entering my head again. Nope, never.
But damn, those biceps.
Okay to be fair, they were pretty hard to ignore. Get it? Get it? They were HARD to ignore? As in like they were hard. Okay, never mind that was really lame.
I looked back up at Noah and he had a small smirk on his face. Okay no, it wasn't a small smirk, it was a full out devilish smirk. Like Damon from Vampire Diaries smirk. It was slightly creepy. But at the same time, it was sexy. Not that, that was going to affect me or anything...
"You know, if I didn't know any better I would think that you don't want me to move." Noah said, walking closer to me, leaving a foot in between us.
Of course, me being me, I took a step back.
Noah took a step closer again. He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards his chest. I bumped into him and his hands rested themselves on my hips.
Where did this sudden change of emotions come from?
I looked up to him with wide eyes.
There was like this huge, enormous part of me that was like -no freaking way is this happening- like seriously, it was huge. Think the size of Kim Kardashian's butt huge. Yeah, that huge. Did I make that joke already? Oh well.
But then there was this other part of me that was totally into this. I had a feeling that it had to do with the biological part of my body. But there was like all these sparks going on that I couldn't control. They were like a yapping dog, literally not having the capacity to shut the F up.
"Do you really want me to move Sarah?" Noah said, whispering those words literally like a centimetre away from my lips. During that whole 'explaining the crap emotions going on in my brain' Noah had apparently moved a lot closer to me.
My mouth parted slightly, I was preparing myself to answer him; but I didn't really get the chance. Because before I knew it Noah's mouth had descended upon mine.

Apex Predator
Earth is a fairly small place, but it's all Bath has. It's the only home he's ever known for all of his 500-or-so-million years of life. One day, Bath realized his treasured Earth was being drawn into the next mass extinction ahead of schedule. So, fascinated by the humans and their quick rise to power (after all, setting off a mass extinction is a pretty sizable achievement), what's a nearly all-powerful, somewhat bored, morally ambiguous, savagely violent, shapeshifting alien entity to do other than assume the form of a human and do some front-line investigating? Little did Bath know he would soon stumble upon a mysterious human organization with a gate leading to planets eons away. And that's just the beginning... A story with aliens, intergalactic space travel, mind powers, and an abundance of adventure! Author's note: ON HIATUS! Hello and thank you for reading! Constructive criticism and grammar-policing are both appreciated. Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 are complete at 1271 pages! Part 7 is in progress! If you've ever read any other web serials, you might've noticed that authors get better with time (that is, their art or writing improves). Wutosama of Metaworld Chronicles noted that the first 20 chaps are always a mess. This is also the case with Apex Predator. The first two parts (ranging just under 30 chapters, or 161 pages) are absolutely subpar. While I have edited them as of 7-10-18, they require a rewrite, which is currently in the works but not complete. For a sample that gives insight into what the latter ~80% of the story's writing style is like, check out chapter 56. Vote for Apex Predator on Top Web Fiction! The Apex Predator Discord is here. Cover: original work done by me, the author, caerulex.
