Author's pov:
Everyone reached Ananya's house, where the wedding was going to take place. They went aww on the decorations as every corner was beautifully decorated with marigolds, and different types of flowers and leaves. Lights hanging here and there are making them more attractive.
Arpita and Maya made their way to Anu's room, where she was getting decked up for her groom. They opened the door and saw the beautician giving the final touch-up. They were mesmerised, looking at her as she looked like an angel from heaven in her gold-colored kanjeevaram saree paired up with a red-colored blouse.
(Anu's wedding attire and look)
Anu turned towards them, twirled around and asked them, "How do I look?"
"You look like an angel, Anu", Arpita said, appling kajal behind her ear.
"You look so beautiful, akka. I'm sure Harsh bava is going to have a tough time", Maya said, giggling.
Anu blushed and looked down.
Anu's mother, Harini, entered the room and looked at her daughter, who was decked up as a bride. She still couldn't believe that her little princess was getting married in a few hours. She hugged Anu and burst into tears. She always pampered Anu to no extent and never said no to her wishes. She didn't agree when Anu wanted to go to Canada leaving them, but then she understood it was necessary for her daughter. She wiped her tears and kissed her head lovingly.
"Come it's time", said Harini.
Anu nodded her head and looked at the mirror for the final time. She composed herself and made her way to her groom, who was waiting for her at the altar.

Soon, the wedding was completed with all the rituals and Harsh and Anu were announced as husband and wife, both legally and ritually. They stood for the photo session, giving different poses. Everyone could see the love between the couple. Some blessed them whole-heartedly, while some envied her luck.
Arpita and Maya brought the wedding cake and placed it in front of the couple. Anu squealed like a school girl looking at the cake and hugged both of them. While Harsh chuckled looking at her, this is what made him fall deeply for her, her childish nature.
And our Avi was admiring his wife, she prepared the cake despite her tiredness.

Harsh asked her if she could prepare the wedding cake for them, as Anu always wanted to cut one during her wedding. But as the time was short and as the arrangements were made by their parents, he thought he couldn't make it up. When Maya brought cake for them yesterday, he really loved the taste of the cake. So he asked Maya whether she could make one. She was hesitant at first as there would be many people. And it would be embarrassing if the cake didn't come out perfectly. But, Harsh assured her. He even blackmailed her, saying that they would either cut the cake made by her or they would just drop it. He and Anu even suggested her to start a business as her baking skills are too good, and she just needed a little polish.
That's what Vani asked her yesterday. What did she think about starting a business of her own? Anu called her, informed her, and told her to ask Maya. At first, Anu thought of telling to Avinav, but then she thought it would be better if Maya told him on her own.
Avi was busy with his work, and by the time Maya went to their room, he was asleep due to tiredness. Maya thought to tell him in the morning, but then they went to Surya's house because of the chaos that happened there. She just told him about the wedding cake while they were returning home. And he encouraged her and assured her not to worry too much. He even helped her while she was baking the cake. This time, like a good boy, he didn't eat the cake as she was already tense.
Avinav called Harsh and asked him about their preferences. Harsh told them to make a simple one.
Harsh and Anu cut the cake together and feed each other. Anu happily fed Maya and thanked her. Maya's tension flew away as soon as she saw the satisfied look on Anu and Harsh's face.
Maya looked at Avi who showed his thumbs up. She gave him a small smile and moved towards him and stood beside him. She was adjusting the pallu of her saree while Avi was lost in her.
Avi pulled her towards him as those small bangs of her hair were disturbing his view. She was startled at first but soon got relaxed feeling his touch. She glared at him while he gave her a cheeky smile.

They both were lost in each other when someone cleared their throats from behind. They turned around and saw Vani and Arpita giving them a teasing look. Maya hugged him feeling shy. While the three of them chuckled looking at her.
Some people at the venue adored by looking at them. They even praised Maya for her baking skills. Vani, Arpita and Avi felt proud of her. They thought to talk with her after going home. Harini dragged Anu and Harsh to the dance floor while Nithya (Harsh's mother) dragged Avinav and Maya. Arpita and Vani sat in a corner looking at them. Yash was at home with the twins. He said he would be at home looking after the twins as he gets less time to spend time with them. Shekar didn't return from Mumbai yet.
Avi placed his hands on her waist while she shuddered at the touch of his skin on hers. They slowly swayed their bodies to the music. He saw some men looking at his bunny, he pulled her towards him, making her jerk and land on his chest. He held her possessively and gave them a glare. He turned her around, making her back hit his hard chest. He nuzzled his face in her neck making her weak on her knees. He inhaled the smell of her hair, and placed a kiss on her nape, making her clutch his hands tightly.
He then lifted her and twirled her around while she giggled like a kid. He joined his forehead with hers, and both of them stayed like that. Their moment was broken by loud applause. That's when both of them realised that they had an audience around. He put her down and rubbed his nape embarrassed. He blushed a little and his ears turned red. While Maya's condition was no less. She was blushing profusely and looking down at the floor as if there was something interesting.
Both of them went towards Vani and Arpita. Maya hugged Arpita feeling shy while she laughed looking at her baby sister and patted her head. Soon they moved to have their dinner. As it's already getting late, and Yash must be having hard time handling those naughty munchkins.
Soon, they left to home after informing to Anu's and Harsh's family.
******************
As soon as they reached home, Arpita, Avi and Maya got settled on the couches lazily while Vani left to her room. Yash came down after switiching on the baby monitor as the twins were sleeping listening to the car horn.
He came and sat beside Arpita. She snuggled into him placing her head on his shoulder. He kissed her head and caressed her hair lovingly.
Arpita: Did they sleep?
Hmm.
"I missed you", Arpita said, pecking his lips.
"I missed you too" Yash said, pulling her more into him.
Avi looked at the couple in front of him with adoration. Fourteen years of their relationship and five years of their marriage, and they still behave as newly-weds.
"Oy, go and change and sleep. You guys must be tired", Yash said, picking up Arpita in his arms while she put her arms around his neck.
"We will definitely sleep. But I guess that doesn't apply to you both", Avi said, picking up Maya in his arms who was already asleep.
Arpita blushed, listening to him.
"Please keep your voice low, otherwise my both munchkins sleep will get disturbed. Or if you want, I can take both of them to my room, you see" Avi said, winking at them.
Listening to this Arpita hid her face in Yash's neck.
"Shut-up, you idiot. I'll definitely get my day" Yash said, moving towards his room, not before telling Avi to take the twins to his room, while Arpita pinched his hands.
Avinav shook his head at them and moved towards his room with his sleeping beauty in his arms. He opened the door with his leg and made her lie on the bed properly and went to change.
He came after getting freshen up and changing into nightwear and saw Maya tucking the twins to sleep. He chuckled and came and sat beside them and told her to go and change. Soon she came after changing and slept on her side. Avi kissed three of their heads, and soon they went into deep slumber.
Keep smiling and take care.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

Beyond the Horizon's Eye
It is less than two weeks after the event known as the Flux Causality, and two days after the Grand Council has put forth the edict demanding the immediate retrieval and deletion of all Stringhoppers. Finding such Travelers, however, is proving more difficult than expected. A young boy and his sister find themselves violently taken from their world to another, and soon thereafter are forcibly separated. Now sold into slavery, the young man must find not only a reason to survive but a purpose to carry him home. The journey has just begun, and the hardest step is always the first one. ~ This is my attempt at both the Xianxia/Wuxia and Portal/Isekai genre of fiction that I love, and the means to provide a story set in such guidelines, while distancing myself from some of the more common tropes. I do hope you enjoy the story I shall endeavor to tell. ~ Average post between 1000 - 3000 words. This is a work in progress, and will be edited and adjusted over time. If you’re interested in something a bit more GameLIT, you might want to check out my second story on Royal Road, “The Dawnfire Archives”. My newest story is a combination of both genres, but with a female main character at the helm. Feel free to check out "The Card Thief of Culnivar"!
