A few days later, it was finally time for the Yule ball. Mira was cheering excitedly as she was helping the girls pick out dresses. Erza was lending them all one of her dresses that was in her pocket space, they just had a to figure out who was going to where what.
"This one is pretty! Aww, but so is this one!"
None of them could decide on a dress.
"Erza, how can you afford such beautiful, gorgeous dresses!" Lucy whined. "Every time I come back from a mission, I buy something new which my reward money — separating it from my 400 000 jewel rent." She explained. "I still can never understand how she manages to afford four rooms — most of which are just lined with armor."
The others giggled in response. For the next couple of hours, they were searching though dresses until they found some that were perfect.
Levy wore a white and pink dress. The bottom of the skirt was a light pink and had even lighter pink frills around the edges. There was a dark pink belt cupping her waist perfectly; it took up her entire torso and it had a yellow star connecting the ends. She wore white, thigh high stockings with it and white flats to match.
On her dress, around the sides were small pieces of black, stripped fabric with yellow rims and yellow stars at the point. The arms we slim white that matched the dress, but had an accent f pink at the very top. At the bottom of the arms, it opened up ad bagged, filled with more light pink frills.
The collar was also like that; the collar itself was light pink frills that matched the arms. The very front of the dress crossed itself in a 'x' shape that folded over the belt.

Lucy wore a pink dress. It was a shoulder less dress with dark pin bows on the fore arm of the dress. The top was a corset and had light pink frill on the bottom, matching the bottom three quartered sleeve of the arms.
There was a light pink frilly line, matching the bottom frills, going down the middle of the dress. The main colour of the corset was a much darker pink the rest of it.
The bottom of the dress had at least four layers of frills to it. There was a dark pink fabric, matching the Corset, looking like curtains, draping over the light purple/pink colour of the skirt. The curtain had more light pink frills lining the bottom and inside of it.
A magenta rim covered the entirety of the curtain, right before the frills. She wore it with one inch light pink heels, not visible.
Wendy wore a short light blue dress. It was a simple dress; no fancy accessories going with it. It was a short sleeved dress with the neck folding in a semi-circle around her.
It didn't emphasize the fact that she had no chest, in fact, it looked extremely cute on her. The shoulders of the dress were pooped up, it made her shoulders look bigger and ended right at her bicep.
It had a plain, dark blue belt right around the waist area of the dress. The top of the dress was slim, fitting Wendy's figure perfectly.
The bottom, however, widened out a bit, poofing itself around Wendys waist. She wore light blue flats with a small bow, just a bit darker than the shoe, on top of both of them.
Erza was wearing a more mature dress than the others. Hers was a purple long dress with a slit for her extreme long legs on one side. It was a strapless dress and the area around her chest was only being half covered.

The rim surrounding her chest was a white outline on the top, there wee zigzaged lines crossing itself around the top. And at the bottom of the zigzag, there was another small, white rim. There were large white, painted-on flowers accenting the dark purple dress.
There was a lighter purple sash starting at her waist and gradually becoming bigger, edging at her thigh. At the very peak of the sash, there was a large flower made out of the sashs' material. She wore pure white gloves that ended at her forearm which had a white rim with a bit of a design on it.
She also wore a purple and white necklace. The necklace cited her small neck, being just a bit bigger than it. There was a six-point white flower at the center. She had her usual straight hair curled; it became waver and waver at the bottom. There were two thick strands of her scarlet hair, curled at the front of her head.
Juvia wore a blue and white dress. The top was a dark blue, it was a three-quarter long sleeve. At the end of the sleeve, there was a white rim, looking like a snowflake. The area around her chest also had that same white, snowflake looking rim. The shoulders were layered with the white snowflake design twice.
The bottom of her dress was a baby blue colour. It was long; long enough for it to drag along the ground behind her a bit. The part where the dark blue and light bue met was covered with a poofy, blue colour. The blue was lighter than the top to the dress, but darker than the bottom. She wore dark blue three inch heels with it. She also wore a light pink choker with a small bow that took up her entire neck.
Mira wore a pure pink dress. The top was a sleeveless, dark pink that barley covered her boobs, they had a light pink, large bow right in the center of the top. The bottom of the dress was the same shade pink as the bow. It was long — touching the floor long, and circled her a bit. The bottom of the top part, where it met the bottom part, was poofed out and cupped her waist.
Cana wore a purple and white dress. It was a strapless dress that had only one arm being in a full sleeve arm warmer. The top was outlined with a light pink rim, a bow placing itself in the center. Around the waist, white, feather-like fabric surrounded her. The bottom was magenta and white. The majority of the dress was magenta, however, the bottom looped around itself, making the bottom white. It reached her calves.
"We all look so beautiful!" Mira cheered as she and the others stood in front of a mirror. "I know right?!" Wendy twirled around in her dress. "I think its time to go now, if we don't leave now, we might get late! And besides, we all have dates to get to don't we?" Lucy added. The others nodded in agreement and with that, they all left the dressing room towards the hall where the Yule Ball was being held.

Wander West, in Shadow
BOOK 1 COMPLETED A young wizard journeys west, through dark forests and dangerous lands, searching for something. Accompanied by a wild witch who has secrets of her own, they come across terrible creatures, hauntings, cursed villages, and memories from their past. Who else will they meet along their journey, and to find what he is looking for, how far will the wizard have to wander west? NOTE: The above synopsis is intentionally written to be as spoiler-free as possible. If you would like a more in-detail synopsis, one that contains minor spoilers, please check out the "Synopsis" chapter at the beginning of this fiction. If you read and enjoy, please leave a rating or review! FORMERLY TITLED: THE GLIMMERLING This story was formerly titled "The Glimmerling", because the first part was a short story of that title; it has since been expanded upon, thus the title change. Chapters 1-8 (30k words) are the first 'arc', if you want to get a feel for the story. To give some context on the setting: Magic is a bit weaker in this story than you might be used to, and we start off following some relatively new magic users. For some perspective, being able to light a campfire with magic is considered relatively advanced for someone who is the age of the main character. Magic can become very powerful - and there are some examples of powerful wizards within this story - but it's not where the main characters are yet. Part of the story is about following them as they learn more about magic. Enemies are also very dangerous, and running, hiding, or trying to talk their way out of a dangerous situation is often a better choice than fighting for the characters. While I have added tags for traumatizing content, sexuality, violence, swearing, etc. I try to avoid super-explicit descriptions of these things. But they are part of the story.

Unstable and weakened, will he be more hindrance than help? Can he become the warrior he once was?A Monk and a Monkey journey across a world...... where the remnants of technology are seen as magic, while pockets of humanity strive to drag themselves out of ignorance.... where the descendants of animal-human hybrids, once created as instruments of war, now seek to dominate the world as demons.... where beings who call themselves Immortals and Gods preoccupy themselves with selfish pastimes, ignoring everything else. Among other things, a story about growth, grit, and being better than the person you were yesterday. Here's my rambling on why I'm writing Journey West 5000. Journey West 5000 is my crazy ambitious writing project to adapt a classic epic called "Journey to the West" for a global, modern audience. It's a sci-fi story disguised as fantasy, and has some road trip + monster of the week elements (as does the original Journey to the West). No system, definitely no harem, gradual power progression. Hmm, what else can I put here so potential readers know what to expect? My writing style for now is mostly "show don't tell", because I believe that readers don't need to have everything pointed out to them, and that they should be allowed to make up their own minds about characters based on the actions of those characters. I'm also trying to be less long-winded (a weakness pointed out by some friends) in order to write according to something Neil Gaiman said, which is to write as though I'm the one who has to pay for every word, not the reader. This will bring down my chapter word counts, and might drive away potential readers, but I believe there's value in learning to compress and be concise. All chapters posted here will have been edited. Constructive criticism, comments, and feedback would be very much welcome and appreciated. Please, please help point out any typos or grammatical mistakes, I'm striving to minimize those as much as possible. Above all, I hope you enjoy my story.

There's my freakiest brother who calls pranking a type of affection. And then there's the stepmother who loves my brother so much she never listens to me. I gave him a puzzled look. He facepalmed. "You got a million hits on YouTube!" he said with a hopeful look, hoping I would know the thing I really don't know. "Not ringing any bells." I muttered and shook my head.• • • •all rights reserved 2013-2014.
