《My Muted Alpha | ✔️》CHAPTER NINETEEN

Gaia let out a high pitched scream, one full of agony. I felt sorry for her, but for what she has done will never be forgotten. Forgive but never forget they say, but this was instant karma for her.
Ouranos was trembling, tears streaming down his face. The bond ripped away from him felt like your intestines were burning inside out, ripping apart and never being able to heal.
Kronos stood rooted in one spot, frozen in shock.
His parents split from being mates, the possibility of them getting back together was slim. I extended my hand out to his arm, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
"You don't think I know, do you... Gaia?" Ouranos seethed out.
Gaia sobbed harder, "Please... anything but this. Take back the rejection! I can't handle it. My wolf can't handle it."
"Answer me. I don't give a damn anymore if you're in pain. You know what you did." He replied, his face was cold. Ouranos's hands trembled slightly, as he tried to continue holding himself back from comforting her.
The treatment from her former mate was too much for Gaia to bare, her tears rolling continuously down her cheeks. "I-I.. I don't know what you're talking about..." she whimpered out.
Ouranos gritted his teeth, flashing his fangs. "You cheated on me while I was in a coma. Just because I'm away, does not give you a reason to cheat!" He roared, eyes pitch black.
With all that was going on, I felt Kronos shake a little, his eyes casted downwards. The fear within him grew, as he let go of me and covered his ears.
Quickly, I rushed to his side and hugged him.
Caressing his shoulders and back to calm him down and whisper everything was okay and that I was here for him. I felt a side eye from Ouranos as he tried to calm down, noting that he was scaring Kronos.
More cries came from Gaia as she started stuttering. "Ouranos... please... how did you find out? I was in heat. I needed someone to distract me. You understand don't you? It just happens. You weren't there and I needed some sort of release. It was an accident."
Is... this bitch dumb?
How is cheating an accident? I never understood why people justify cheating. That's a deal breaker for me. Once it's done, it's done. Not only have you disrespected your relationship, but you disrespected your partner as well.
I understood some people worked it out, especially in the pack. But the relationship took a long ass time to heal. That trust is broken and it just takes awhile to build back up. I just can't imagine the pain the males or females felt, feeling their mate having sèx with another.
It's almost like you're getting stabbed continuously while you're conscious. The bond with your mate starts to stretch and your wolf just withers and whimpers in your head. The pounding in your head just gets so intense, like a horrible migraine. Until you pass out.
It's just... the worst pain imaginable.
I could never forgive someone if they did that to me, no offense to anyone else.
Lost in my thoughts, I had not noticed a loud smack rang in the air.

Gaia's face turned to the side from the impact of the hit. The person who slapped her was none other than Ouranos, his eyes pitch black from anger.
"Kronos had told me. He had told me everything you did to him. Of course I only brought up you cheating because you're here." He paused, adding, "You mean nothing to me... Gaia. Not only have you hurt me, but you hurt our son. Our son... who is a miracle. For the gods you hurt him!" He snarled, his rage rolling out in waves.
Her hand slowly reached up to her cheek, more tears flowing down. ".. You hit me... I don't deserve to be hit! You can't hit women!" Gaia cried out.
Ouranos only scoffs at this. "I believe in equal rights, equal fights. If you hit me, a man... I have all the reason to hit you back. I don't care. You abused our son and on behalf of me and him, you deserve an ass whooping."
Silence filled the entire room as Gaia cried pathetically. Kronos stood stunned, not sure how to react and Ouranos walked away back to his bed and looked away in shame of his ex-mate.
It wasn't the time nor the moment, but it had to be done. I coughed, catching their attention.
"As you know, I was attacked by three rogues a few days earlier. They had message for you Ouranos, and... Gaia," I said with a slight growl, disliking how her name rolled off my tongue.
This stopped Gaia from sobbing, her cries coming to hiccups. Ouranos spared one last worried glance, hardening his face before motioning me to continue. Kronos scooted a bit closer to me, lending me his support.
I crossed my arms, "The she-wolf introduced herself as Fortrista," Ouranos and Gaia stiffened at her name, but I disregarding it, continuing, "her message was to tell you, Ouranos, was that your past will be catching up to you soon. Your loved ones will be in danger for what you did, because of a debt you haven't paid."
Ouranos expression grew in sorrow, while I turned my attention to the old Luna, "Gaia, as much as I hate you, you need to know."
She nodded curtly at me, giving me a plastered smile.
Ugh, even her smile annoys me.
I sighed, "Her message to you was that she's back, and she's coming to retrieve what belonged to her in the first place."
Gaia growled, her fangs sharpening. Her intentions noticeable by the amount of jealousy rolling off her. The sheer of sweat building around her as her fists clenched. Ouranos shifted around on the bed, uncomfortable with the situation.
I squinted my eyes, my attention on my-in-laws, "Do you know her?"
They both stiffened once more, turning towards each other before looking away silently. Kronos clicked his tongue, expressing his agitation. His eyes fogged over, mind linking his parents. A few minutes pass and the elderly couple let out a defeated sigh, knowing that they can't hide whatever they knew forever.
Ouranos spoke first, grumbling out, "Fortrista was my high school sweetheart."
'What the fuck?'
Rain smirked, showing her canines,

My face scrunched up, 'That's nasty as hell.'
She only shrugged, cutting the link.
Drifting my attention back to the subject, I notice how tense the room got. Gaia's eyes were pitch black, but it was directed towards Ouranos. Kronos shifted a bit more closer to me, since it seemed to relax him.
I studied Gaia, noticing her eyes change from coal black to brown. I disliked her, but we needed answers as soon as possible. Fortrista could attack at anytime again, and we needed to be prepared. I pushed aside my distaste for her for the moment, calming myself.
"Gaia, did you know about this?" I ask, going back to the topic.
She nodded, "Yes, I did. I had just transferred here from another pack to the Full Moon pack since I was bullied in my old one, not even my parents wanted me," she whispered, trailing off, "that's when I met Ouranos. It was a mere coincidence, but I was intoxicated with this wood like smell and followed it. I regretted it though, because I found Ouranos fucking his girlfriend, Fortrista, in the closet."
She snapped her mouth shut, reliving her memories.
Ouranos looked away in shame, "I didn't save myself for Gaia, but when she opened that closet door, I knew she was my mate. I tried to earn Gaia's trust but it was extremely difficult. She saw me as a player or rather a 'fuckboy' that slept with girls in the closet, which was true. I won't deny that, but when I met her eyes, my wolf and I instantly fell in love with her."
Gaia smiled a genuine smile, "Yes, and I made sure he worked his ass off to earn his title as my mate."
While Gaia laughed, Ouranos didn't. He was still angry at her and didn't care to relieve their past. She quickly cleared her throat awkwardly, trying to create more conversation.
Kronos and I watched them in awe, shocked to see that the elderly couple had such a tough meeting. Although, I felt embarrassed for Gaia since no one had the slightest bit of interest in her.
"Oh, yes. Do you remember when I threatened to cut off your dick when you tried to touch me? I was saying that you needed to get yourself checked first,"Gaia joked, remembering the memory.
Finally, Ouranos smiled. Just a little bit. "Indeed. I remember when I finally won you over. We were happy for a long time," he said, suddenly making his expression dark, "then you decided to abuse our son after I decided to save him. I fell in a coma and you took everything out on him. He was just a little boy. To make matters worse, you cheated on me."
Gaia's smile flattered, her gaze casted downwards.
"... I said I was sorry. Isn't that enough?" She mumbled.
My eye twitched, "Are you fucking kidding me?" I said, interrupting the conversation. Their gazes turned towards me as they stared on.
I continued, angry. "Does saying sorry make the pain go away? Does it fix the cracks in the glass? No? Yeah, thought so. You dumbass! God, the more you talk, the more brain cells I lose!"
Once more... I was greeted by silence. Realizingwhat I had said, I nervously looked over to Kronos and he just gazed at me with a smile. Suddenly, he gave me a thumbs up.
Oh... thanks for the support.
Rain growled, her tail wagging.
"I..." Gaia said before getting cut off by Ouranos.
"That's enough, Gaia. You have no excuses, so do us a favor and shut the hell up." He grunted, glaring at her.
Gaia closed her mouth, looking down at her hands as I saw some tears fall on her hands.
Is that what she always does? Cry?
Rain barked.
Oddly, it suits her.
Pathetic bitch.
Rolling my eyes, I look towards Ouranos. "Anyways, you were saying."
Ouranos glared off in the distance, "I broke it off with her that same day Gaia and I met. She refused to comply. Fortrista tried every method she could think of to secure her position as Luna. The situation got so bad, she had to be exiled when she attempted to murder you."
A moment of silence fell between the two, before I stepped in, "So, to sum it up, she's a power crazy ex?"
Kronos tapped me on the shoulder, my eyes landing on his face and his notepad. He turned it over, and I read it out loud, 'She's not a crazy ex. Fortrista sounds like a crazy, desperate ass, bitch that doesn't seem to have enough charm to find herself a man.'
Ouranos, who kept trying to keep a straight face soon laughed. We all laughed so hard that tears came out of our eyes. Who knew my mate would be this funny?
Gaia even laughed, "That's my son for you, he's always the comedian."
And the moment was ruined.
The room became still once more as we all went quiet at her words. Kronos stilled at her words, lowering his eyes onto the ground, retreating beside me once more. Noticing her words, she gasps, "I-I'm sorry, I got caught up with the moment. I'm sorry Kronos."
He nods, dismissing her apology, not meeting her in the eye. Gaia hangs her head in shame, becoming quiet once more.
Ouranos frowned, "He isn't your son. He is my son and that is final. You lost the right to call him your son a long time ago."
Gaia looked at him tearfully, nodding.
I coughed, clearing my throat.
Jesus, there is so much tension in this room but we have to keep things rolling.
"If that explains why Fortrista and her henchmen came onto me, since we're on this topic, who attacked the pack house nine years ago?"
Kronos gritted his teeth, while Gaia looked away elsewhere. Her guilt rolling off her in waves, so much that it made me choke.
Ouranos looks at his ex mate in a mixture of disappointed and worry, before his lips formed into a thin line, "The one who attacked the pack house and got me into a coma was," he took a deep breath, "Fortrista and her rogue army."
