《My Muted Alpha | ✔️》CHAPTER THIRTEEN

The ears on my head flattened back as I snarled at the invaders. Three rogues surrounded me, growling at me to back off. Like hell was I going to run!

From what I see, the middle one was female. The other two on her sides were young males, but dangerous still. I tried to mind-link for back up, but failed.

I haven't marked Kronos, so tough luck right there also.

Curse the requirements to mind link your mate.

Damn, I'm against the odds right now. Where the hell was the patrol?

Then it hit me, these rogues masked their scents.

A loud growl escaped from me, warning them one last time to not mess with me. They didn't seem to get the signal, because all at once, they ambushed me.

Tooth and claw was all I felt, our growls and snarls booming into the forest. I let out a pained whine when the females teeth sinked into my shoulder, and another yelp when one of the males took a bite on my leg. The other male sought this as weakness and swiped his paw onto my side, leaving deep bloody claw marks.

What am I doing? I am a Luna!

I growled lowly, my will to end them all stronger than before. Rain, who was silent a few moments before was lending me some of her strength to kill these wolves.

I shook them off quickly, escaping from the pile.

Turning around swiftly, I lunged onto one of the males, grabbing onto his ankle between my teeth and crushing it. He let out a whimper, trying to shake me off. I was persistent though, not letting go until enough blood dripped off him.

I threw him into a tree, making a crack from impact. The wolf collapsed, weak from blood loss. His other male companion attempted to stop me from getting anymore near him, but I only swiped my paw across his face, my claws leaving deep marks. Blood dripped from his muzzle, the marks probably scarring his face forever.

With him withering in pain and out of my way, I made my way towards the other collapsed male. Fast as lightning, I snapped my jaws on his neck. Suffocating the male, his whines music to my ears. Putting more pressure onto his neck, a gurgled yelp escaped him one last time before his life faded.

I dropped him like a rag doll, licking my lips. The female stood before me, but stayed rather composed even after I took out one of her companions.

The male that I swiped across the face was badly injured, but not enough because he stood proudly next to the female.

On cue, the female shifted, leaving her stark naked.

The female's blonde hair flowed freely down her body, showing her natural beauty. Only one of her eyes stared deeply into my wolfs, searching for something; anything. The other eye? Non-existent. It was covered by an eyepatch, covering the lost eye.

She didn't look like any other werewolf, she was different. I couldn't place my finger on it.

Her form screamed dominance.

I knew right then, this was an Alpha Female. Probably of rogues, but an alpha nonetheless. It explained why she wasn't afraid of me.

She stood there silently, waiting for my reaction before speaking, "I've come from a message to you and your dear old Alpha. Tell him, when he wakes up, that his past will be catching up to him soon. That his loved ones will be in danger for what he has done, for a debt he hasn't paid."

I flashed my fangs once more, telling them to get lost. The wounds I got catching up to me, making it impossible to attack.

She gave me a sinister smile, her flawless face showing that she knows I'm too weak to fight. "Tell Gaia that... Fortrista is back. That she's coming back for what belonged to her in the first place. Take your wounds back as a warning to your mate and everyone for me will you? That would be appreciated."

She shifted back into her brown furred wolf before sprinting in an inhumanly speed into the forest, where our border wasn't accounted for. The male wolf following right after her, disappearing into the thickness of leaves.

I could only watch them get away, but even if I tried to move, I knew I couldn't. Rain forcibly shifted me back, too tired to keep fighting. Fatigue had finally caught up with my body as I collapsed onto the dirt.

I haven't fought in my wolf form nor human for ages, so this is to be expected.

Blood was coating the ground with my own, the grass turning red in it.

The evening patrols finally arrived at the scene, but all they saw and smelled were the smell of blood, and their Luna wounded on the ground.

About damn time they've arrived.

Kronos was running up to my tired form, before he crouched down to pick me up. His eyes were fogged, calling for the pack doctor.

His eyes peered into mine. They were filled with worry and despair, and mine with relief and sadness.

The last thing I felt was the gentle caress on my cheek before the darkness engulfed me.
