《Devoid of Luck》Chapter 04 - Monotone, So not clones...? (Part 2)
Before this certain someone told me my story was way too summary like, the "Monotone" chapters were supposed to span over 2 chapters, but now that I try to be much more expressive about everything around, it almost triples everything in size, I have 'Monotone' finished but it is way too summary-like, every time my rewriting reaches 900~ words, I'm posting a part, trying to master the art of cliffhanging xD
I'll try to finish 'Monotone' in 2 more parts or even less...
If you have any comments about things I should improve in my writing please do tell.

“I have many question regarding this place, and so far, not a single answer.”
Behind the neatly placed signpost there were 5 stones with numbers on them, each marking a different route. Considering what I need right now is to know what my location is and what the hell is wrong with this world, I should either find someone to ask questions or head to the library.
“The most important thing is to find a map that shows where I am now.”
I decided I should head towards the library, maybe there will be some clues about this place.
Asking random people will probably raise suspicions about me since most of the things I want to know, should be common knowledge for any person in this world. Things I would have known have had I was simply born into this world, or whatever it may be.
Going towards the rock that marks route three, I double check that this is the proper route to make sure I won’t make any stupid mistakes like getting lost in this place. The last thing I want is to be lost in a place I don’t know, and have no idea what lurks in it.

Stepping on the trail, marked as route three, I start heading towards the library. On my way I look around in hopes of gathering some basic information about the lifestyle in this place.
Many men are working the land, making sure their crops and plants are growing well.
Other man are hauling products towards the market route or away from it, and some men are simply sitting on benches or chairs placed randomly in the nearby area, talking to each other and drinking to their fill.
“I wonder where did they get all those materials from…”
“The land on the way to this town had no trees or stone quarries at all… Just grass…”
Every time I passed some people, they all stop doing whatever they were doing and stared at me as if I’m some kind of an alien. Now that I think about it, they all look almost identical to each other other, only their faces are different, yet have a similar feeling to them…
“Maybe they are staring at me because I look so different from them...”
I haven’t seen my own face in a long time, but the features I’m sure about are that I had short wavy black hair, green eyes and slightly pale pink skin, on the other hand the men on this land all were black haired, brown eyed and their skin was light brown, not to mention their height which towered two heads above me and their body build that made them look like brown bears.
I passed many unique buildings on my way, but all of them had a Victorian architecture style with some unique elements like pillars and decorated by sculptures carved out of what seemed like simple stone. It was truly a nice sight to behold as I haven’t seen much art in my life.

Some of the sculptures were of a certain man posing in martial art stances, others like the same man fencing with a rapier, but most of the sculptures were of this certain man doing everyday things like farming, cleaning or cooking, they were all of the same man and were positioned everywhere around the town.
“So far I haven’t seen a single female in this city, or outside of it…“
“This place gives me an ever worse feeling than the endless grassland hills outside…”
“I really hope the library is not too far away from where I am now.”
Many thoughts overflowed my head. I tried not to think about it too much, and relax.
Continuing down the marked route as fast as I could without standing out much more than I already do, I suddenly noticed a person who finally looked quite unique compared to the others, he was even shorter than me and had a childish face, but his body build wasn’t that different from the others…
“He looks like a child of this place, maybe there are women after all…”
I come close to the child, in hopes he wouldn’t be too wary of me , and ask him,
“Hello! mind telling me if this is the right way towards the library?”.
The kid looks at me with a weird gaze, but then answers.
“Y… yes… continue down this route for around five minutes and you’ll reach it…“
The kids voice trembled and had fear in it. “Thank you very much!”, I answered and then hurried to continue walking. Hearing the kid behind me sigh in relief as soon as I start walking.
“I wonder why was he so tense while talking to me… Was he afraid of me?”
Now thinking about it, even when I was trespassing in the "mud" farm, the farm owner didn’t cause me any trouble, he simply asked me to leave, and his remarks seemed as if he was worried about the consequences of me being there, rather than me trespassing.
“I really hope they don’t think I’m some kind of a demon or something…”

A King in the Clouds
Tanlar. A cruel, repulsive, and foul word. It meant untitled, officially, but it also meant ungifted, unable, unworthy, unnecessary, unhuman. It was more a curse than a term, a badge only the damned and condemned wore. To be a tanlar was to know your life, your entire being, was insignificant. Once Kaizer had resigned himself to such a fate, but those times had passed. He may have been untitled, but he was anything but untalented. He refused to scrape by at the bottom of society. Those who stood above him could sneer all they liked, but he wouldn’t suffer being stepped on for long. He’d be better, much better. But of course he would be. ‘Fate’ demanded it so. [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] What To Expect: The story of a boy becoming a man becoming a king + everything that entails. Largely gamelit, but later arcs could be called litrpg. Also schemes. A lot of schemes. I do love some good ol' fantasy politics and intrigue. Minimum Word Count a Week: TBA after Writathon Release Time(s): Daily for as long as I can/until the end of the Writathon. I also write The Deathseeker [Returning Dec 5th]

Raven-Hold Rising: Trail of Thorns
Alex has died again and due to a deal apparently made many deaths ago, he gets to be reincarnated into a new world with his memory intact. He is quickly transported to the tiny nowhere town of Oxbow while it is under attack by goblins. Alex must learn to navigate his way through a fantasy world if he is to survive, and navigate the vague gamelike mechanics if he wants to thrive. Is it the things he does that affects his character sheet, or his character sheet that affects the things he can do? This is a soft LitRPG Isekai. By that I mean, the MC is technically from our world, and RPG system lacks crunch. MC will never become over powered, and should fail... alot.

I was Reborn as a Background Character
THIS IS AN RE: MONSTER FANFICTIONI've been reborn, reincarnated if you can believe that. Unfortunately its not like any of the stories I've read. I didn't come back as the protagonist, heck I didn't even come back as side character. I've been reborn as a background character to the MC's epic plot. If that wasn't enough I'm a goblin of all things, gimme a break!!PLEASE SUPPORT THE ORIGINAL WORK WHERE YOU CAN.

SuperTraveler: Lost in Another World
Rejected by his world, a mulleted teen who lives his life as a caricature of his old man's glory days is forced to take care of a dragon's princess. These two normal people, at least normal unto their respective worlds, struggle to cope with becoming the monsters that a bunch of mad gods need them to be. Do they side with the insane god escaping the organic clockwork of Death, the god who wants to destroy that evil, or perhaps, a third option? Content Warning: This will depict substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, and will likely become an ongoing list of content advisories. This is going to be an adventure-centric story, not a battle fantasy. It's got elements of LitRPG and standard isekai, but not for the MC. He's got a different path to follow, one without power-leveling and harems.

Thaum new Galaxy
Thaum an ancient mage of many lives decides to drift through the great void before starting a new life. Unknowingly centuries pass and he somehow finds himself in a new galaxy. One where Magic never passed the initial Druidic phase and died out. Instead, the people have taken to technology to improve their lives. They have progressed further than Thaum has ever seen. Traveling between worlds isn't a grand expedition with great magic, but as simple as boarding a ship and paying the boarding fee. Authors note - This story is intended to be a short novel. The MC is going to be OP as far as mages are concerned, but we will see what a sci-fi universe can throw at him. (suggestions welcome) p.s. he will try to make his impact overall a good one, but he is not a good person. He only chooses to do good. Unless it is too inconvenient. it also won't be particularly dark.
