Gradually seasons changed and Old Man Wong along with the other monks in the monastery took care of the little Long Shen, soon Long Shen grew up faster at a visible speed or rather as the monks are accustomed to observing the unchanging surroundings he seemed to be growing rapidly in comparison...

After a couple of winters, Long Shen learned to walk, utter little illogical sounds that proved that he is deliberately making efforts to start talking... "Hmm , choo - choo laih lia leh.... Come on kid, Say 'Grandpa Wong....', Say 'Grandpa Wong....' " just as the old man was playing with Long Shen making weird faces, he hears heavy footsteps approaching & turns back.

"Bro what weird stuff are you teaching my dear Shen'er..." chuckled Sr. Shen

"What is weird in my name baldy.... :D " replied Sr. Wong jokingly

"Graaand paaa...." the sound came out of Long Shen 's mouth and both oldmen were elated!

"Yes, Grandpa Wong, say Grandpa Wooong..." said Sr. Wong excitedly

"uuh guu guuh" the later sounds were just baby ramblings, nevertheless, they felt content regarding the progress of Long Shen, He seemed to be very intelligent evident from his drive to stand up & start walking at an early age compared to a normal child according to their knowledge and now he even started to speak, these few seasons they are astonished by the child's growth and wondered if he will become a scholar in the future ...

Unknown to them the Eye of the Dragon birthmark opened (a tiny ink-black dot appeared in the eyelids which were earlier empty...)

Gradually Long Shen became old enough to walk & talk properly, due to his good aptitude Sr. Shen thought it was the right time to educate Long Shen in the scriptures, Way of the martial arts world & in the Dao of the Alchemy, etc... He tasked Sr. Wong to be his teacher for knowledge about the outside world... Sr.Wong although he has a reputation of being pervy sometimes, was rather knowledgeable in terms of the way of the mortal world and many other unique/unconventional topics. He is also an expert in Fire Arts.

The next morning was an auspicious day so both of them asked Long Shen to come to greet them early in the morning tomorrow. Long Shen was so excited about the beginning of his formal instruction that he could not sleep at all, he kept tossing & turning in his bed eagerly looking outside the window that is allowing the full moon's light into his room.

"Cococoookoooooo......"

After a sleepless night, he woke up at the very first wild rooster's crowing that signals the start of the early morning...
