《9 Dragon War God》Ch - 2 - Old Monk Shen!!

An old monk was passing through an ancient ruin in the Wuzan Province of the Eastern Dragon (東方龍) Empire. These ruins were in the deepest part of the Silverwing Forest where the ferocious beasts were extremely ruthless & vicious preying on the weaker beings.
"Waaah... Waaaa... Waaaaa...."
The monk suddenly hears the sounds of a baby & follows the cries, gradually he comes across a building that is in ruins, the roof collapsed many millennia ago and there are only 3 worn down walls left as if to remind that it is once a room / rather an inner sanctum of a deity... on the walls, there were ancient runes & writings which the monk didn't recognize... There was an altar in the middle of the room on which the monk saw the baby & was dumbfounded!! How can anyone be so careless to leave a baby in this godforsaken place!! The baby looked to be a couple of months old, he immediately walked towards the baby & took it in his arms. The altar had a strange wheel engraved on it & the baby was at the center of the wheel design... The monk looked around as if to search for the parents of the child but couldn't find any trace of human activity...
He initially thought that the parents wanted to get rid of the baby & deliberately left it behind, later discarded this line of thinking, Why will anyone go out of their way to come to the depths of such ruins to discard a baby?
Out of compassion for the little soul, the monk took the baby closer to his face & said a short prayer "Dear lord! this may be our destiny to meet here & now... Little one, a mother will never leave her child to be discarded like this, we do not know what difficulties your mother faced to leave you here but do not blame her, this old man will take care of you ..."

"SzZzzzz...." a little stream of hot water hit the monk's clothes and he started laughing...
"ha hah ha... Damn you boy!! You pissed on your grandpa... " As the monk lifted the baby he noticed a Dragon shaped birthmark on his chest, he thought it was a tattoo at first but upon closer inspection, he found out it was a birthmark. he was fascinated at the amount of detail in the birthmark, he has never seen such a strange birthmark before...
"Boya..., since you have this Dragon birthmark on your chest, it must be the god's way of telling the world that one day you will soar like the Dragon & make your mark at the pinnacle of the martial arts world, from today onwards you will be this Old Man Shen's grandson - 'Long Shen'... "
"Ahhh!" Long Shen smiled back as if acknowledging his name...
"Boom!!" a thunder was heard at a distance as if the entire world was witnessing an auspicious event ...
To be Continued....
