Alex pov
The final bell of the day had rung. With that after school activities began, and a bundle of fellow students blocked my path out the buildings.
I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried about Onix looking for me. She seemed young but the fact that Chloe listens to her, makes her the boss out of the three. With the Crazy strength I only half witnessed that night, along with the curse mark i have marked on me as proof. She's someone I don't want to get involved with, but she knows I can see her, and she knows were I live. If she wanted to kill me she could do it anytime, yet... That didn't make sense. If she wanted me dead she could of killed me that night, and she could of done so this morning, but..
When I finally made it through the crowd of students and my thoughts, Michael Ridgewood was waiting by my bike.
"Shit," I sighed knowing the usual routine that followed.
"Sup fagot," his grin wasn't hiding his pissed of expression in the slightest.
"Figured since practice was postponed till tomorrow, I figured why not pay you back for shitting with me this morning,"
So....im screwed. Danm, first day back and I can't even past the day without some ass hat getting upset. Or catching so weird groups attention.
Im not scared of what he's going to do, but its such an inconvenience. I would of preferred going home without bruises.
In short I ran.
"Fuck. Get back here Greene!" I didn't even turn around to look at him if I did I was dead. Just have to remember to layout of the alley up ahead.
In my mind I formed a map of the fastest routes to the cafe in my mind. Turn right and hop over the fence. There were metal trash cans that I used to jump over. Rolling on the dirt and kicked my self up heading straight in to the alley way.
Next go left and run past the winking gnome and take a hard left after the red house and- !!!!
Bam!
I fell down and rubbed my nose. Shit when did they put a wall-
Looking up i made out a girl towering over me.
" I didn't think you'd actually run from me."
A strong hand pulled me up and I noticed it was Onix. She smiled kindly.
"What are you..."
"So I finally caught up, and here I find the fagot and some bitch holding hands. Now that's priceless." My spine shivered, he caught me.
"Oh, so you were being chased by an ugly dog. Makes sence, if a face like that was chasing me I'd run too" she stated.
Michael face twisted more with complete distaste.
"Ha! With your face all twisted up like that you look more pig," she laughed.
" But im happy to know I was wrong," she muttered out so quietly sighing in relief.
"Your talking big for a child"
"Oh really?" Onix glared at Michael and her eyebrow rose in confusion

" You should head home, kid" she playfully shoved me behind her.
"Ha, bullshit. Bitch I'm not dealing with you." He glared at me," besides I got business with Greene."
"How cute. But my business with you has proven to be more important. For starters, how much longer do you intended to hide under that flesh?" I didn't even blink but she was directly infront of him and her hand pierced into Michael chest.
Her smirk was twisted, as she ripped out something black and moving,"you parasite?"
Onix pov
I ripped out the soul parasite, it's much bigger then the normal ones. But the host, Mr Pig, had passed out right after removal. Probably for the best.
"This thing was feeding off this kid for a while. Pig might of lost...i wanna say 5 to 9 years of his life by the size of this thing. oh well," I thought to myself as casually crushed the parasite in my hand.
"I told you to go, didn't I?" I threw the parasites corpse against a wall.
"What the hell?" He fell to his knees. " did you just-"
"He's not dead," I said it like it was an obvious kneeling down beside the Michael boy ."He was possessed though, i have to scrape out the leftover residue from that parasite. " I said in a honest tone. " he could have some eggs on his soul that I can't see. So don't touch him"
"So that's it?" he said relived, taking in calm breaths and calming down slowly." You looked like you ripped his heart out."
"I mean its not hard to do that, but it was a monster like the ones you've been seeing," I smiled softly." color me surprised though, most people would be beyond scared of this kind of thing." closing my eyes to see how fragile the soul was, incessantly my soul view works better like this.
" well i have more problems then most people." he let out a light sigh.
"Mind sharing what those problems are?"
"no" I chuckled.
"Figured," his soul isn't damaged, that's good." Okay I'm going to pull it out."
"pull what out-!" he looked as i slowly pulled out a small light with reddish marks around it. some yellow spots hanging off the sides.
" yeah those are eggs" i turned to Alex," can you see what I'm holding."
"...sorta, its pretty fuzzy," he reached out to touch the yellow spots.
"Don't touch those!" I hissed at him, causing he to jolt back.
"CLEANSING FLAME." A white flame slightly burned my finger tips as it burned away the yellow eggs. "Home," I lowly hissed at the light burning on my finger tips formed small blister, as the flame died out.
"what was that?"
"A holy fire that burns small demonic imprints," I scanned around the soul to make sure the flame did its job." it kinda hurts me specifically when its used though."i looked at the sin portion of his soul, small crimes nothing too huge. So why did it latch on this guy for a host for?

" Since you can see the creatures, you notice anything off about them lately?"
" To me their always "off", but within the last year a lot more have been around the street we first met at. And the athletes at school seem to draw their attention for some reason."
"I see." Then the tips of my fingers that were blistered fell of as my purple blood slowly oozed out
"huh, look at that." Good thing I didn't get the others. Sack and Chloe would of overreacted.
He smacked down at my head during my thought,"Your fingers just rotted off!" He then backed up startled by his actions.
"And they'll heal, you didn't have to hit me!" I pouted up at him.
I started to scrape away some of the sin on the unconscious boys soul. The only payment I can take away from the inconvenience.
"Okay your blood is kinda melting the pavement," he wrapped his scarf tightly around my hand. "What are you even doing?"
"Just don't touch my blood directly, and you'll be okay. And right now im finishing scraping off this red stuff."
"Is it more of the parasite residue?" He watched as i picked the last one off.
"Nope," I popped all the red scrapes in my mouth. The kid looked at me wide eyed as I chewed up the impurities from the pig's souls. I swallowed then released a low burp." Pardon."
"Theres nothing special about this kid spirituality. Could it be the parasite chose him out of desperation? Even so I should put his soul back before he wakes up." I thought, pushing his life back down into him.
"He's clean now, a few side effects will pop up after he wakes up, but its nothing serious."
"Wait...What did you just eat?"
"Don't worry about it," I looked around to make sure we were alone. " I guess we can talk for a bit, about that little curse I left on ya,"
His face became a blankspace, slowly turning into a glare. It was cute how he could manage such an intense expression, but this mission is more important then this childs unique condition right now.
"I can take it away," I smiled." However such things aren't free."
"I gather that, you're not looking for money. Because if that was the case you got the wrong guy," he scoffed.
"True, but you have a very special gift. With that gift I'll offer you a trade." My smile fell as my eyes burned at his steadily." Become my temporal subordinate,"
"Excuse me?" He stepped back.
"That gift you have. Seeing creatures from our world with such ease, and the capability to see passed such powerful glamors like the one casted on me. Then its quite the investment for myself to have you."
"So you want me." He pointed at himself," to essentially become your slave?"
"Slave is such a strong ugly word," I said in disgust.
" It's like this kid. You help me with my business here, and I will not only lift my curse, but I'll also protect you and your family from the danger of these monsters you keep seeing. To make sure what happend that night doesn't happen again."
He stood quite for a moment then stared at me. "How?"
"How what?"
"How will you get rid of this," he grestured at his neck.
"Given the type of curse I inflicted on you. I'd just need to replace it with something else."
"So a curse for a curse?" He seemed spectical.
"More like a curse for a just as powerful spell. Simply I can make it so those monsters won't be attacked to you ever again. Atleast not without a special key that I alone have access to." I smiled.
"... What do you have to gain from all this?"
"A subordinate, and a means to compleat my business here quickly" I stated bluntly" I'm also afraid I cant let you take your time on such a decision so your going to have to make it now."
"What the hell? You can't expect me to-"
" I do expect an answer from you, and i expect it before the end of this conversation. Other wise bad things will happen," I ripped of the melted burned scarf off my hand as shadows from my hand, wrapped around it turning it into ashes.
Alex seemed calm but he seemed to weight his options." What is your business here?"
"Make a contract with me, and you have my word. That everything will be better explained about that. I unfortunately can't share such vital classified information with you kid."
"And for that information this curse swap and my family's safety, you just want me to work for you?"
I nodded with a smile." And this deal between us is only temporary, so you'll only be with me till I am no longer needed here."
"...And if I refuse?"
"Your seem like a smart boy, i would think you'd have good idea what would happen if you refused."
" Given that I dont have a real choice, I will except the deal." His annoyance made me smile for an odd reason.
"Terrific!" I rushed up behind him so quickly he didn't have time to react as I bit down at my finger and quickly placed it on the mark I had left on him days ago.
"Ahg, shit!" He hollered as he covered it up again.
"Now we should run that guys going to wake up and I rather not deal with that right now, and I bet you feel the same. So walk and talk with me won't ya?" Yanking him with me as quickly and as far as we could from the alley way.

Divine Creatures
Kestra, a [Combat Alchemist] and [Woods Wraith Hunter], is excited to finally receive her third class. But when she attempts to do so, she instead receives a tribulation from the God of Trials, loses her classes, and is informed by the voice of the world that she's been selected to transmigrate with only three days to go. She tries her damnedest to prepare, but even the Elements are different in this new realm. A relatively staid adjustment period is completely abandoned though as she finds that, most distressingly, hundreds of transmigrators have appeared recently with dozens enslaved by the local city lord. Fine! She may have lost her classes and the magic is funky, but she'll be damned if she doesn't have a few true-blue skills up her sleeves. [synopsis re-write by luda305] A light hearted romp where the protag transmigrator *isn't* from Earth. The main story takes place on more of a western xianxia world. Note: profanity tag is because of side characters, and sexual context tag is for some risqué elements before fade-to-black scene. Book 1 is written and scheduled for release a chapter a day till 9/26 (24 chapters total) Book 2 will be added after it is all written. Updated to add fanfic tag because when I picked up the latest Ten Realms I realized that series has had a lot more influence on the setting than I consciously realized. Don't expect military or industrial revolution in xianxia, though.

A Castle in a Teacup
One might say that to anger forces beyond the ken of fragile breakable mortals is a bad idea, others might say that meddling in dark forces with little chance of gain is also a bad idea, they would both be right by on all counts but they forget to mention also how incredibly stupid combining both of those things are. Stupid people don’t last so long on the mystic side of things, normal folks who wander over to the other side have a tendency to do one of two things, either A. figure out that the best thing to do is keep their head down and not draw attention from any entity that refers to humanity as “you mortals” , or B. something horrifying happens to them. As you may have guessed I fell into the second category, mostly because I thought there was a third option. See I though there must be an option C, an option where I got to end up not as some shitty back ally wizard cowering at the chance of discovery, praying that one of my wards or spells wouldn’t be noticed by something that goes bump in the night. No I would be the one who rose above all that. I would never have to be afraid. Well I made a good attempt at it that’s for damn sure, but unfortunately for me it turns out there is not an option C. At least not for me…

Professor Pierre Aronnax, a French marine biologist (and narrator within the story) receives a last-minute invitation to join the expedition. As the expedition travels south around Cape Horn into the Pacific Ocean, the crew finds the monster after a long search and then attack it, but the ship is damaged with the three main protagonists thrown into the water.
