----Alex pov----
"I'm heading out!" I carried my sachal filled with plenty of paper and pencils. But enough space for all the textbooks I'm going to take home.
Placing my hat making sure my wallet was on hand.
"Head straight home! Someone got went missing last night!" Nan called from the kitchen. "And put on your uniforms tie!"
"I love you nan, but no way! See you after school!" I rushed out getting on my bike riding passing Victors and Chloe's house.
I stopped to look at the house, it was in way better shape then it was before. It looked new, must have cost a lot for it to look like this in such a short amount of time.
"I wonder if they're going to the same school as me?"
I saw the door open and a girl with purple braided hair walked out. She was wearing a dark blue framilar uniform, it didn't look like she noticed me, because she was locking the door in front her.
Was she Victor's other sister? Chloe said her name was Onix if I remember.
"Um..."
wait why was I trying to make conversation with this stranger? I don't really see why I can't but... This feels somehow.... dangerous...
"Hello?" I called out.
She turned around slowly, and I noticed when she was moving a thin black tail was connected to her jolted up.
When she turned around fully she froze. As she saw me she was shaking like I was going to attack her.
"Sorry I just wanted to know if you were-" before I could finish she ran. Like bolted over the metal fence behind her house and kept going.
I just stood there," Okay... I guess she's shy too then?"

The school I attend is St. Hathaway highschool in London. The school has prideful, only because of being excellent in academics and football teams that as far as I heard hadn't lost any matches in months.
But I think because of that pride is why those monsters have been hanging around. Almost all last year during my first semester as a freshman, I noticed these things hovering around me and most of the athletic bigots in school.
As I walked up to my locker, someone pushed me harshly into it.
"Hello freak" An all familiar voice boomed at me. Fricking Michael Howard, one of the big shots of our school.
"Did your boyfriend dump you. Or did he finally cut himself to death?" He chuckled referring to Eliot. He's hated me since we were kids. I haven't really talked to him, I'm always quiet. But I guess that makes me a perfect victim for his sick past time.
I started to put in my combination, but he pushed me again.
"Why aren't you answering me?"
I didn't react I just kept trying to get my locker open.
"Danm yo-! Who the hell are you!"
I turned around, Michael has in a position to punch me. But someone yanked his arm away.
It was a tall girl. She seemed to be cosplaying? She had golden slit cat eyes, long ears as their tips were a dark brown, and long golden brown hair that reached to her stomach as was held up in a ponytail. She glared at Michael then turned to me. "I thought it was you," she smiled, her soft sweet voice confusing me till I place two and two together.

"Chloe?" I looked at her in amazement. I only recognized her voice, but her features caught me off guard.
"Yeah I'm Victor's sister, remember? My sister asked me to make sure I told you thanks for yesterday as soon as I saw you. But I didn't think I'd see you in this kind of predicament."
She let go of Michaels' arm, pushing it away from her.
"Hey Al, I actually kinda lost Victor a while ago. Could you help me? I'm still a little confused by the layout of the building" She said not giving Michael the time of day. He seemed entranced by her, looking struck by shocked and quiet as his gaze never left her.
"Um. Yeah, let me just put my stuff away real quick." I said finally opening my locker. Placing my hat, scarf, and heavy coat inside.
Michael just stood there gawking at Chloe. When I finished up with my locker she tugged me along through the hall. Leaving a highly confused Michael behind.
"So... Where did you lose your brother?"
" Right here," Victor was behind a corner with three schedules in his hand.
"Sorry for lying. But if Victor acted then that guy would just start a fight." She said. "Onix really did want me to say thanks for the cake though."
"If anyone was going to start a fight it would be you of it was Onix involved."
"Hush!"
"Oh, um thanks," I stared at her ear. Was everyone just going to ignore that, I'd think a teacher would at least say something?
"Speaking of, I think I bumped into her this morning."
the warning bell rang.
"Oh, a class is about to start. We better get going, hope to see you soon Al," Victor waved as he and Chloe walked off
"Yeah," I waved back awkwardly, heading to class.
The first few blocks I had were interesting. I found that my first and third class had both Victor and Chloe. I noticed that no one saw Chloe's ears. Or at least no one made a comment on it. My guess, she's not human, but it would be best to act like I can't see that.
The girls and guys were drooling over those two.
I could tell they were uncomfortable with their sudden burst of popularity. When I first met them they didn't seem to be very social. Even now with the bombardment of questions spat at them their way I doubt that'd it make them feel comfortable.
"How are you guys related?"
My gaze hit the one person I wished I didn't have to see today. Cassandra Harris, the "queen bee" of this hell hole of a school. She stood about 5'6, her father is a CEO of a security company in Japan, and her mother was the head surgeon at the nearby hospital. She had standard marks in academics and is the head of student body council, also president of the yearbook comity. She had this vibe around her that made even the creatures around the school stay out of her way.
"Does it matter?" Victor, he came to his hair back with his large hand. Clearly getting annoyed.
"Just that you don't look anything alike," Cassandra felt offended, I could tell. Whenever anyone talked back at her green eyes would twitch slightly and she would fumble with her bracelets." Also, your last names are different. Banzan and Harper are very different not to mention that your absent sister goes by Harvey. What are you all step-siblings?" She sneered.

"And again I ask does it matter," Victors face began to scrunch as he frowned. His hands forming fists.
"Victor it's not worth it," Chloe tugged on his arm. "Onix will get upset."
"Where is she by the way?
Your sister?
Is she ditching?" Questions began rising again causing the duo discomfort.
Almost on cue, the door opened and the girl from this morning came through. She had her head down but I looked at her more carefully. She was dangerously pale, no not pale at least not like the white color. Her skin was a pale shade of grey and had the stature of a 13-year-old. She was holding a fur sack in her arms. I noticed the creatures in the room stirred and flew past her.
scared...
But no one else noticed her come in they were paying too much attention. To Victor and Chloe.
"Um...sorry in late..." She said smiling squeezing the bag a bit. She seemed generally happy, then she turned to me looking straight into my eyes.
I noticed her eyes, they were lavender colored. Her happy face was filled with surprise and hurt as her pupil then slit like a cat. She dropped her bag as she kept her eyes on me. Backing up against the door, covering her mouth.
"Onix?" I saw Chloe move up." What happened?" Chloe looked at her with worry plastered on her face.
She didn't remove her eyes from me till she spoke. "I'm okay, just dizzy," she swiftly picked up her bag petting the fur dresses over it.

Classes passed and lunch reared its head around. I sat at the furthest end of the cafeteria, taking out my chicken salad practically drowning it in ranch.
I felt someone sit next to me and touch my neck causing more stinging because they were putting a lot of pressure on the mark.
"Danm it," a familiar voice muttered out.
I jumped up almost spilling my food. It was Onix. She scanned my body and glared at my chest.
"I'm sorry?" I swatted her hand.
"No need," she placed her elbows on the table with her head into her hands."hctib media ut." She muttered.
"What?"
She looked at me with a serious expression," do you know what that phrase is 'hctib medif ut'?"
"No,"
"Pity." She seemed calmer by my answer. Then she pointed at my neck," does it sting?"
"Yeah no shit," I snapped, covering the mark." You pressed on it too hard."
She took out a small bottle, inside there was multi-colored star-shaped candy, she took two looking sad.
"Tell me ... Can you see me," she popped the candies in her mouth.
She's right in front of me and I took notice other people started staring at our direction. "Why? You're clearly visible to everyone."
"Yes the can see me, but not me," she swiftly grabbed something from the air behind me." Sorry," pulling back her hand to show one of the small monsters that were everywhere in school. She was toying with it in her hand." I had hoped when we met again, it would have been in a different circumstance. But faith had other plans I'm afraid."
"...what are you?" She's not human this feeling of danger just spiked. Clearly, she can see these things, but the fact shes exposing herself.
"A good question," she smiled kindly." Well, let's just say I have a deal for you." Just then Chloe sat next to Onix happily with lunch.
"Don't play with that," victor appeared taking the monster from Onix's hand tossing it away in a nearby trash bin.
"Here," Chloe handed sanitizer victor," don't eat with dirty hands you could spread more curses."
"Thanks, I don't need Evelyn to breathe down my neck on this."
"Back to what I said a bit earlier. You might not remember, but we met three days ago at night." She pointed to my neck again." And I was the person who saved you."
Three days ago... That horse, and the girl who...
I was about to get up and get out of there. But Chloe grabbed my shoulders with her long nails piercing into my flesh.
" Don't make a scene," Chloe's voice held dominance to it, causing some force to make me obey." Answer all her questions."
I saw Onix's eyes slit pupils, conveying anger for just a moment before she blinked allowing her eyes to have a calmness to them." tell me your name."
" Alex Oliver Greene,"
"Really?" Her head tilted at that like she was expecting something else." Then tell me Alex" she said my name in a way that seemed the name felt alien to her as it formed in her mouth." how long have you been able to see these monsters."
"a long time, I can't say I can give you an accurate number."
"have these monsters ever attacked you?"
"sometimes... but they're more like pranks, then trying to kill me. Until the last few months."The three of them looked at one another, nodding at some kind of revelation. "But..." the sensation I felt was now fading, without any interference, I got up feeling stinging in my shoulder and neck." what are you?"
"My charm ended?" Chloe glared at me, looking like she was going to reach for something. However, Onix grabbed her.
"Do you see us? What we really look like?" Onix was calm as she asked, somehow causing me to slowly nod at her. she smiled and laughed at that," so, you're even more interesting then I had originally thought." She reached out a piece of paper and placed in next to my uneaten salad."That'll help with the pain for a while. I'll come for you when schools over to go over something regarding that," she pointed to her neck.
Instinctively I covered my neck, and she smirked playfully.
"Its in your best interest to hear me out. So don't go running off,"
