《Acceptance》Four

"The undead, demons and high rank monsters have somehow opened up gates between worlds."
"What?" The silver's said in unison.
"How did this happen?!" Onix turned to the head captain.
"When you left, when we found out about the problem. When we captured a lesser demon. It said that over the last few years these portals have been opening here and there. The creatures have been taking advantage of that and have passed through."
"We don't know what is doing this, but i sent a group of scouts through and..." Galif lowered his head." They were slaughtered."
"I'm...I'm sorry." Onix lowered her head for a small rare moment of respect.
"They were one of my best stealth team, my Vice captain Evelyn was the only one to survive. She managed to write a report of what was on the other side."
"It's a realm that you used to read a lot about Onix.
"The human realm!?" She perked up. The world where humans primarily reside without magic, the world onix had studied for a long time before becoming a captain herself.
"Yes almost no magic exist in that realm so we believe that some force from our side opened up the gate and are allowing them to pass over." The Goblin explained.
"What actions have been taken?" Chloe asked with a serious expression.
" We managed to close the gates. However, something keeps opening them. we have reason to believe that a high level Mage is causing it. We're just not entirely sure why." Asoa explained
"Why did you call for us?" Victor question the head captain." Why not contact the celtic gods?"
Asoa looked directly at the Silvers." The celts will not be informed. This will strictly be solved by us as best as possible, due to our packed with the gods." He looked then strictly at Victor," as for your team, you silvers are a small, manageable, resourceful and strong enough to handle high level threats against New Midgard. And with the right glamour spells for Onix and chloe..."

"Wait. What are you trying to say?" Victor spoke out.
"I want you three to travel to the human realm and eliminate the creature that crossed over that has caused all this ruckus. While posing as normal humans to dismiss suspension with the possibility of this threat being clever. With Onixs vast knowledge of the human realm alongside what information that we have archived here at the main base. We can cleanse that world of the threat, that smuggled out of ours. Before the celts can find out."
"My daughter has scouted the area around the portals. It seems many lesser demons are causing mischief, while the much larger threats for some reason can't be located anywhere in the area. They most likely have entered further in the portal after galif's forces first entered" Ford handed Onix two small books." The report from her and Evelyn if your interested."
Onix skimmed through both stopping at a sentence.
...Aenare Clan evidence spotted around...
Flashes of the incident of 50 years ago flashed in onixs mind. She held back her anger as best she could.
"Chloe, you and Victor should go to the training grounds ahead of me. This is going to be awhile."
She was about to protest, but Onix gave her a serious look. In response, Chloe nodded and left with Victor.
Onix pov
" your sending us because you think She's responsible for this mess." My words came out sharp and icy.
"We don't have proof that its her, Onix." My uncle reply in a calm manner.
"The Aenara's! You can't say that's a coincidence! After so long! If her people are there then-"
"Then sending you is the safest move we can do." Asoa cut me off." Though i would like to ask you to manage yourself. If it really is Her then we will act. For now I don't want this news to break out to the public of either realms. "

"Tsk," my eyes began to burn lightly, as my anger grew.
"It's only been three years since you became a captain. You should know by now not to let your personal feelings to get in the way." My uncle sighed. "You can't keep living in the past onix, you should learn to take your own advice."
"You don't think i already know that,"i screamed my burning eyes piercing Asoa's very soul.
The other captain's surrounded me, weapons at hand. I touched my chest, tightening my grip on the fabric. As flashes of memories began to consume my thoughts. I closed my eyes. "I understand what my purpose for New Midgard is. So I will do as you say for the sake of this country."
"Good," he released a relieved breath
"But, I have some requests."
Chloe pov
"Haa!" I swang my punch at Victor, but he dodged flawlessly. Grabbing my arm and palmed my face causing me to fall.
"Stop dropping your guard." Victor lightly tugged on my arm to get up.
"Yeah, my bad."
"... Your worried about the captain again?"
"Of course!" I shot right up looking down at Victor due to my height." As vice captain i have an obligation to share any burden Captain is going through! Even if it costs my life!"
"Your being over dramatic." He looked up at the clouds." But i understand what you mean."
3rd pov.
"Anything else?"
"I'd like to do my own scouting. I can gather more information about possible locations with demonic activity. As Well as a possible location to stay with my team. I'm one of the few who can actually read the first and second tongue. In the human realm"
They began to speak among themselves. Onix had a good point. Although she tended to have drastic mood shifts she had a nac for human culture and their language. Yet, Onix's fairly recent mood shifts make it difficult to make out her actions making the other captains unsure of the request. Zouth walked up to Onix and turned to the other captains.
"I'll watch over her on the scouting,"
Silence filled the room as Onix's frown was purely visible to everyone.
"Home! I'll take Zouth if it means I can do my scouting."
"...Very well as long as Zouth accompanies you. I don't see any issues with this request." The head Captain handed. Two oddly colored travel beads." Use the gold one to leave and the other black to come back. We were lucky to create these with the information we gathered, so don't mess up. I want you back before sunset, is that clear."
"Yes sir," both Zouth and Onix saluted to Aso. And onix smashed the bead to the ground.

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.
