[Time to homeworld: 14:29:40]
All I could see is white, that is, until the bright light started to dull. At the corner of my vision, a somewhat holographic bar was floating idly, except it wasn’t entirely for nothing as it showed the time native to wherever I was.
The blinding light softened as I blinked. My pupils narrowed itself and focused on my surroundings, giving me some clue as to where I was.
Am I in the hospital?
The thought crossed my mind as I saw two surgeons looking down at me. There was a large, white canister not far from me, with a tube plugged into the output. I watched my heart beat rhythmically in my bare chest.
The sight of a red lump, currently beating, made it disgusting to watch. There were big, red and fat coronary arteries which could be seen with the naked eye if one focused enough. The beating heart rose and fell as it underwent its systolic and diastolic processes, occasionslly its rhythm would get faster as I breathed heavier. It was the kind of sight where a mad scientist would want to see, but outright horrifying for anyone else with a sane mind.
I opened my mouth to scream in horror, but a tiny squeak was all that came. The surgeons who were staring at me turned the taps located on the sides of the operating table which was presumably for injecting anaesthesia into my mask which I finally noticed am wearing. I tried moving my limbs, but all I got in response was a weak shudder through my body. My eyelids grew heavier by the second until there was only a sliver of light seeping through. Still, I struggled to keep awake until I was eventually forced to succumb to the feeling, the feeling of drowsiness and loneliness, when a voice sounded in my head just before the last vestige of consciousness disappeared.
