《Spiritual Point》Chapter 1

"Wow... What a great view..." I speak out with awe. I can see the various corners and crossing of the roads, the amount of people going to and fro, the cars moving with gentle noises rather than being noisy, and the tall skyscrapers that one can barely see normally, the sun rising as it envelops the said skyscrapers in a red beautiful light, and groups of people wearing white buttoned clothes, moving to the school for their first day.

I sigh.

I am so late.

Yet here I am, enjoying the view, while just being on a bicycle. I feel great...

"Yeah! You can appreciate the view as much as you can but I really can't believe... How did you get there??!"

A middle aged man wearing some kind safety uniform approached a tree and placed a ladder on it. At the top the tree is a black-haired boy, wearing a pair of jackets that makes his body look plump and while having his bicycles stuck on the tree, with him still on it.

"Oh! T-Thanks sir, now I can finally get down..." I said so as I start to try to climb down the ladder by first trying to get down the bike. Just as I tried to step out and place my left foot on the top step of the ladder, I... Slip.

I fall for about 5 meters of height and just fortunately, I fell right on the man's body.

"O-ow.. S-sorry sir! I-I am really sorry!" I apologize to the man, whom just waved his arms to show that he is fine.

"Its fine son, no big deal. Though, Wow son... That is some tough luck for you there! Alright, how about I take your bike myself up there eh?" He kindly suggests while pointing at the tree, where my bike still stands with no problems of even falling whatsoever.

I think about refusing but knowing my luck... I have a feeling of dread that I might even make it worse instead. And so, I reluctantly agree.

"Son, how did you get yourself to this situation anyway? I mean, this is practically impossible you know? Getting stuck right on top of a 8 meter acacia tree while even riding a bike! Just, how son?" He asks with curiosity while he climbs up the ladder.

Remembering it now... Its just pretty normal. I just rode my bike as usual and while riding it, a sudden diagonal shaped object fell and since it fell right on front of me, I didn't even have the time to turn nor stop, so it acted as a ramp and I flew a few meters up and landed right on the tree.

Now that I thought about it, I didn't even ask myself if where the ramp was from nor where it is now. But all I can say is, its my luck.

Of course, telling it is embarrassing so I thought of saying it in a pretty normal way.

"I-It was an a-accident s-sir..." I reply. I mean, it is right, it is an accident. So I didn't lie.besides, its's better this way.

He sighs and shrugs as he places the bicycle to the ground.

"Alright, just take care of yourself kid. Don't you fly again out of nowhere, alright?" He says so with concern on his face, him obviously knowing that I may do it again.

"T-thank you very much s-sir... S-sorry for the bother and H-have a good day.." I reply with a smile. I ride my bicycle and start to pedal away, to my destination.

My name is Kyle Aryans. A boy of 17 years old, living in the city of Warne, and currently attending my last year of senior high in this very city.

And right now I am...

Speeding up my pedaling on my bicycle. For I did said earlier, I am late.

Like...

Really late.

I check my precious, silver watch on my wrist. Time check: 7:30.

Time for the start of the classes, is 7:45.

...

I am so late.

I have actually left at 5:45 for good measures because I don't want to be late but then... This happened. It took an hour till someone was able to wake up and notice me to be honest...

So..., let me rephrase that...

I AM SO LATE!!!

I speed up my pedaling to the fastest I can get myself. My sweat making my uniform wet from the inside. But no time to take care of it, I''ll find a way to fix it later. Can't afford to be late and getting some minus points in my first day.

13 minutes, school is now in sight,The gates still wide open.

I can do this. I thought in my head at that moment. With everything I've got, I pedal to the gates as fast as I can.

That exact action, was something I regretted 30 seconds later.

The road to our school is created on a slope, with the gate on the lowering end of it. And being fast on a slope, is never a good idea.

So, I passed through the gate... Way too quickly. My speed impossible to turn at that point. The Guard, Mr. Ralz, is opening his mouth and eyes wide together. Apparently, my speed is something he doesn't see everyday.

At this point, I realize...

I am so screwed.

I try to stop or perhaps to even slow down, and yet all my efforts are in vain.

This really is a difficult one.

All the student peacefully walking are immediately alerted of the speeding boy on the school grounds, which makes up with the number of screams of surprises, run of their lives, people jumping out of their way, and some

Bystanders stopping and looking at me. Some of them even take pictures too.

What I can only do in situation... Was pretty simple.

"I-I am so S-Sorry!!!" I shout a message directed not just to the students but also to the teachers, the staff, and the school itself.

The apology was useful for a moment later, when suddenly, a piece of long steel fell right in front of me. It fell right on top of a pretty large rock too, creating a mini seesaw...

Or another ramp.

"N-Not Again!!!" I scream while cursing my bad luck. My bike steps on it and immediately afterwards, I "fly" a dozen meters up above to the sky.

As I feel the beautiful sunlight on my entire body, I fall on my destination. While falling, I take a glance on where I am heading at. I sigh and once again, whisper to myself.

"...I hate my luck."

In which, I fall exactly right on top of the school gym, where the current school ceremony is happening.

Before being even able to scream to

The top of my lungs, my bike breaks through the ceiling and before I knew it, My body slams to the cement surface of the stage, just right beside the principal.

Apparently she is just doing her speech at the moment. As I looked up unto seeing her surprised face, I greet her.

"G-Good Morning Ma'am... S-Sorry for being late a-and... S-Sorry for the b-bother..."

And with that, I lose my consciousness.

======================================================

"-and that is why Mr. Aryans here is absent yesterday and just arrived 'properly' today. Everyone, I hope you all understand for your classmate, okay? Now Kyle, please take a seat... There. The one in the third row on the fourth column. Just beside Jeremy, that red-haired guy over there, okay?"

A Blonde teacher wearing a violet buttoned shirt with a tie said while pointing at the said seat. I nod and silently walk to it.

As I sat on the seat. Jeremy approaches my left ear and whispers.

"Wow, so you are somehow.. Fine even when you fell for about 8 meters?" He asks softly while covering his lips. His face concerned and yet still amazed at my endurance.

"Nah, you already know that I mostly cover myself with at least 2 jackets for this exact reason, right?" I reply while smiling to assure him that I am fine. He smiles back and resumes his attention to the teacher after my assurance.

Even though to be honest, I actually stayed my entire yesterday on the hospital. My sister got even a bit mad because I wasn't taking care of myself. Nevertheless, I was still far from danger since all I got are mere small bruises. I was actually even told not to move yet but I told them that I have to go to school on the next day. So I was made to drink some medicines and wear some bandages then. The jackets did a pretty good job I guess.

Jeremy still looks concerned but otherwise just accepts my fate and smiles.

Jeremy is actually a childhood friend of mine. We know each other for a long time and may perhaps be the only guy that is able to last long with me as a company even with my luck. Most of my other friends are either already told by their parents that they shouldn't hang out with me, or they, themselves hate me for my life. Thus, why I am glad that he is still by my side even with all the stuff that happened. He really is a good friend.

After a while of talking with him, The teacher comes in at schedule. We all stand up, greet her and she orders us to sit as she starts class.

Our advisory's name is "Hannah Argot". A woman in the age of 30's that has brown hair and... A pretty mature body. Surprisingly, she is actually still single. The reason for that, we will never knew yet. She is pretty attractive enough in my opinion but I guess there are just some things we won't get.

"Kyle? Kyle! Stop looking at the window again!" Ms. Hannah shouts at me to grab my attention. I was in the middle of my thoughts that time so I was surprised. I stood up and hit my right leg of my table. I lifted it while yelping out of pain. Which, caused me to limp a bit backwards. My back was then hit by a terrible pain.. A sharp one in fact. Before I know what it was, I limped once again and jumped for the pain is something else this time. And so, thanks to my movements.. I fell out of the window. My hands luckily (for once) was able to grab the windowsill for dear life.

"P-please save me!!!" I screamed with desperation. My hands are sweaty, and I know that I am gonna fall any minute. I thought that, This is it.. I will be in the nurse's room again for the entire schedule.

My left hand gave out thanks to my sweat, and my right hand was left. I can hear the rush inside but before they can help, I will definitely fall first.

Just as my hand let go, a slender hand that has a strange beads bracelet appears and grabs my right hand. Afterwards, a number of hands appeared and started to carry me back inside.

"I-I'm sorry everyone..." I apologize to them all. Everyone is pretty much... Used to it. I can tell that they aren't really affected by me anymore an they just mumbled and nodded at me.

I suppose being with them for 5-6 months are more than enough to get them used to me.

Everyone was pretty much normal (even Jeremy and Hannah, whom even continued class.) except for one girl. This girl has black Hair, a braided ponytail, some glasses and she wears the usual normal female uniform. Which is the pattern of white blouse with some laces here and there, and a red tie.

She keeps on saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Since earlier. I notice a bracelet on her left hand, indicating that she is the one that lent me help.

"I'm sorry! I was busy stapling some folders behind for my requirements tomorrow so I had to finish it early, but then you kinda moved behind me and I accidentally stabbed my stapler on your back! I am so sorry, I am so sorry, I am so sorry!!" She kept on saying again and again. Her head looking below while her hands stayed behind her. I can really tell the guilty tone she has.

I realize why my back is pretty painful. A stapler is stabbed on it and some blood is coming out of it. Knowing what I have to do with my experience of 16 years of bad luck, I look at her and smile as I say.

"I-It's fine! I am used to it.. I get these kinds of stuff a lot... I guess I will go to the clinic now... So, see you and thanks for helping me I guess.." I say while I wave my hand. I ask for permission to go to the clinic, which the teacher accepted.

"I-I'll visit later okay?" She says as she waves back as well. I lightly smile as I just simply continue walking.

Unsurprisingly, without even a minute later, My left foot slips on a random banana peel on the floor. My body does a 360 degree flip. My head kissing the ground first before the rest of my body does.

My body, exhausted this time from everything that happened, I simply sigh and murmur.

"I am so unlucky.."
