The bed calmly slowed down to a stationary state.
Together, they finally collapsed onto the pillows, and Charley moved the sheets over her. Werewolves don't get cold, so he just stared at the ceiling. He glared at his watch; 10:34 PM. He timed out 10 seconds and watched as the big hand ticked to 10:35. He hopped off the edge of the bed and bolted outside with a swish of wind.
There, in the distance.
He saw him.
Panting heavily was avoidable, so Charley successfully kicked up a rock with his right foot and slammed it with his left knee. The rock kept spinning around.
Sharp side, blunt side, sharp side, blunt side. The pointed edge of the rock narrowly missed his chin, and a small white mark, most probably grazed skin, could be seen from where he was standing. The left fist came from the right side of his head and he swivelled his torso in a 180° arc. The first uppercut came from the south-east direction, and the young Moonbearer had to flip to the side. He glanced at the sword on the woman's back.
First I'll neutralise the lady. Then I can knock the tall guy out.
"A katana? What are you, a Ninja?"
"No, I am not a Ninja," the thick Japanese accent pierced the cold, stormy air, "I am a Samurai. Do not discriminate against me because of my gender."
"Ugh... damn feminists. I was not--"
"I AM NOT. A FEMINIST!" Charley sighed and rubbed his eyes, "Do not dis--"
"Yeah, heard you the first time." The Werewolf leaped into the treetops and clung onto a thick branch enmeshed with blue and red vines, the thorns protruding from the sides of the leaves and wood. He wasn't scared, really, but yesterday was... enlightening, it had ended up providing clarity to the way Charley should feel when he was fighting. And it was exhilarating, energizing, and enchanting. He had discovered the healing factor as well as the knockout powers while punching Manuel. His supernatural experience was rapidly multiplying. The rustling echoed through the atmosphere, and the woman glanced upwards, staring through the mass of green, brown and amber.

"Charley! Come out now - and your death will be swift - and mercifully delivered!"
Silence. The breeze picked up again, and the woman drew the leftmost blade from its sheath. The tip of the sword scraped the birch tree trunk. She was a Tricenarian, and she was in supreme physical condition compared to her younger peers. Her thighs flexed and she leaped after the young adult Werewolf.
Charley Dunne remained hidden within the leaves. He flicked his claws from his fingertips. A cough masked the noise and he quickly sprung up to the overhead branch, a twig snapping off in his right hand. Two raspberries fell into the snow. Gentle crushing noises travelled from 12 miles away, smashing the Moonbearer's eardrums with the harsh sounds.
The older adult male dashed around five trees and glanced up towards the boy. His lime green fringe of hair covered his eyes, masking his acknowledgement of the enemy. A crunch emanated from the white powdery substance and frost trickled down to a lower branch. The older man completed his jump with a roundhouse kick, impacting the Birch tree's wood and making the leaves crumple near his left boot. He brought his right knee back around for a second kick before he would begin falling.
Charley shook on the branch and he made sure not to breathe, or at least, if he did, he would make slow and subtle movements with his mouth. He swallowed a gargantuan gulp of air and took extra care not to wipe his sweaty palms with his coat sleeves, or else he would lose his grip and start rocketing toward the snow below him.
The woman was currently swinging on Jade Vines, chopping down plants that were too thick to throw herself from. A twentieth ka-shink of her katana shot along the pathway and in between the trunks and dead (or dying) stumps.

Her boot heels clicked and clacked on the cobblestone road, and she spotted a towering, jagged canyon, half a mile northeast from her current direction. She lowered her head, stared at the cabin twenty meters up the hill, and began to jog at a faster pace than before. The older man, meanwhile, was searching for the younger man... the only Moonbearer that was among the trio...
The Wanton Warrior and the Two Ton Thief
The man and the woman soon became acquainted with one another. They knocked on the door and spoke the ancient code, thereby signalling their newfound alliance with each other, and the beginning of a few beautiful days of friendship.
"So, what brings you out to my part of the woods, Allie?"
"Well, Blakey Boy, I'm on a 'business trip'. Why'd you ask so many questions this year? Last time--" "We don't talk about last time. That's reserved for Board Member Officials only. There's a non-disclosure document."
"Looks like you just broke that contract, then." "The contract wasn't just verbal. It was soul-binding. You complete arse-hat! Allie... I swear." clink, sip, gulp. "Blakey Boy, stop breathing so -- hard." "Allie, I told you to stop ca--!" Both heads swung towards the direction of the doorway, where the silhouette of a shirtless Charley Dunne appeared. The raindrops continued sliding down his ears and chin, and he shrank the umbrella, allowing himself inside after once more (unbeknownst to himself) closing the latch again, locking all three humanoids within the cabin's walls.

The Beaumort Society
The city of Omen is on the cutting-edge of learning and science, and the things going on behind the backs of the Institute and the government, and sometimes with their approval...well, they don’t really matter. Conspirators operate just below the surface, societies clashing, fighting for their own mysterious ends. It's here that the individual known as Nemesis Jones, a self-styled private investigator, arrives, stumbling onto the doorstep of a curious bookstore called Beaumort's. He's here in search of answers, but all he seems to find is more questions - like the strange girl who arrived at Beaumort's shortly after him, and the peculiar stranger who just may have the answers he seeks. After he stumbles upon a conspiracy tied far too closely for comfort to his best friend, it's up to him and some other nosy eccentrics to unravel the mysteries of the city one by one, beginning with the murder at the Theatre Obscura. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, all of this is explicitly outlined in Nemesis' job description. [ILLUSTRATIONS BY @THEEGGGARDEN ON TWITTER] [UPDATES 13TH AND 27TH OF EVERY MONTH]

Prey No More
Imagine being given a second chance at life. Not only that but with a life you chose (sort of). This is exactly the situation that our character is in. He was once a Biology Graduate Student involved in a special program in Alaska studying Polar Bears. In an ironic twist of fate his life is ended by exactly that which he was trying to study. Now, in a new world, he refuses to be anything but the top of the food chain. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a story I began writing a year and a half ago and decided to shelf, I'm coming back to it now because I miss writing; however, I have not carved out any time specifically for this and, as of now, it will be something I do on the side for fun. Currently I have 9 chapters plus a prologue written; I'm going to be going through and editting it to be in a present tense (from past), as well as changing some of the story and grammar. Let me know what you think, and thanks for reading.

Hopeful Start
DROPPED: Decided to drop this one, I didn't properly think through a lot and as i started making chapters i found myself aiming for a word count and adding things or characters that i probably wouldn't use later, same with the system, i awas making it convoluted. Sorry! Transported to another world? Maybe to defeat the demon king or defeat a evil god! However for our protagonist he wasn't quite as lucky, working day in day out to pay off the debt his parents left him only to go home and get transported to another world where he is attacked by a unknown creature. Hello! This is my first time writing a story and i most likely won't do the best job at doing so. Some constructive feedback and tips would be fantastic.
