《The Celestial Kingdom》The Celestial Plains

Rain gave Àskériàn a full tour of her Island Forest. "This island is called Isle de Familiar or the Celestial Plains." She began. “It was once a part of the Arcadian Rainforest in Gaia.”

The revelation shocked Àskériàn. “A part of… what do you mean?”

“Well it’s hard to explain, but that missing piece of land where Ama had disappeared, this was it.”

She stepped forward, walking towards the stream. “I found him here a few days after Lady Ardent and I brought the survivors of Alexhand to the realm. He was back in his familiar form and curled up, asleep. He said he doesn’t remember what happened, as if the transition from realms had put him to sleep and reverted him to his spirit body.”

“How did you figure out that this land was the missing portion from the forest?” He asked, taking all the information I’m.

“Well it didn’t take long,” she explained, “instantly I felt connected to this island, it’s how I found it. I asked Lady Ardent if I could explore and she gave me per and then I followed the pull and it led me here. I knew what it was the moment I saw it. It’s kinda like homing instinct.”

He pondered on her words for a moment and then a thought hit him. “Wait. If this is another portal or gate to the realm, why haven’t we ended up in Gaia?”

Rain shrugged, having already guessed he would ask this question. “It’s ’s like a one way gate, one way in, no way out.”

“Oh.”

“That’s the reason Lady Ardent tasked me with monitoring this place, I come here everyday to check for new familiars.” She added.

“So how many familiars and elves are in the realm?”

Another question she was prepared for.

“We have many here, Sparky and Amaterasu and many more.” She frowned.

“What is it?” He asked as he noticed her changed expression.

“There is another person here who isn’t a familiar, though I did find them here on this island.”

“Who?”

“Her name is Angel. She’s not a familiar, but I have reason to believe she is also exactly what her name says. An angel, not an Arch Angel like Lady Ardent, but an angel nevertheless.”

His eyes grew wide. “Does she know? Ardent I mean. “

Rain shook her head. “There is no real evidence. It’s just I have this weird feeling about her. It’s not a bad feeling, it’s just that she gives off the same energy as Lady Ardent, only it’s a different signature.”

Rain shook her head. “Never mind. It’s probably nothing, I should do what I came here to do.”

He regarded her for a moment and nodded his head.

She stood still and focused on the enviornment before she closed her eyes. Àskériàn watched with curiosity. "What are you doing?" He asked.

"Shhhh. I need absolute quiet please." Rain scolded. As she focused on the forest, she could find herself becoming one with the island. The wind became her voice, the water from the streams flowed through the ground like the blood in her veins, the trees swayed in the breeze.

"All clear." She said breaking her concentration. She gave the area one last scan. "No familiars this month."

"That may not be a bad thing." He tried to sound comforting.

“No, I suppose not.” She said, though she had hoped to see another familiar face, letting her know that her people were doing okay.
