”In darkness he slumbers until one day he will be released by a maiden.” -Fye
”But teacher, isn't that just a myth?” -Sarah
”You never know if the myths are true Sarah.” -Fye
”That's what you always say teacher!” -Sarah
…
Fye who was a history teacher at Ark's academy of the arcane. Ark being the town it was located in. It holds a lot of nobles who study magic and alchemy and is one of the top academies in the country.
The town Ark is located in the country of Humae. The country itself is comprised of 5 main towns and 10 villages, some big and some small. Every town has a ruler of it's own but they all follow the councils orders.
The council is an order made by the humans and elves who started the revolution to overthrow the current king. The council is comprised of both humans and elves of both genders and are selected by the public for their knowledge and for their actions after signing up for the job themselves. If the public is not satisfied with the councils members they can throw away the ones they did not like and keep the ones they like. The thrown away council members will have to pay a fine for the damage they have done and will be stripped of any authority he or she might have held.
This system makes it so only the best are chosen and that they take their job seriously. This also makes it so that the council is highly trusted and very appreciated.
The Humae country as you might have guessed is comprised of only humans and elves. The other countries are Demda and Dwadra.
Demda is comprised of only demons and dark elves while Dwadra is comprised of only dwarfs and draconians.

The countries aren't at war but the races who live there won't allow permanent stay in the country if you are not one of them. There are multiple cases of being sold as a slave if one breaks the law or tries to steal anything while in the country of another race.
Demda and Dwadra do not use the council system that the country of Humae use and instead opt for monarchy in which the countries are run by a king and nobles. Making them a lot more dangerous than Humae.
…
In a sealed tomb not far into region in Humae covered in forest something stirs.
There in a stone sarcophagus lies a demon. He looked to be around 24 years old and 173 centimeters tall. He had black hair, red skin and was fairly muscular with 4 horns evenly placed on his forehead. He suddenly opens his light gray eyes and says.
“why did they have to seal me in this kind of place?” -demon
“Well whatever I just need to get out of here and see how the world has been without me.” -demon
And so he ventured into the halls that where branching out from the main chamber in which his sarcophagus lie. It took around 2 hours of walking until he gave up in finding the exit and returned to the main chamber.
“guess I will just have to wait until someone comes along since I don't wanna risk destroying any settlements or kill anyone close to the tomb.”
So he waited until one day a maiden appeared.
…
Outside of an old graveyard in the middle of Humae forest (yes they named it after the country since it surrounds the country and acts like a border) Stood a cloaked individual. The cloaked individual appeared to have a feminine figure and wore a brown leather cloak with a hood.

The individual had a short sword similar to a viking short sword strapped to her leather belt.
She also had a small pouch and a larger pouch hanging from her belt as well. This was obviously an adventurer who had little to no money or liked to travel lightly.
There where no clear reasons for why a female adventurer would be searching amongst the graves in this old and abandoned cemetery. Nonetheless it was clear she was searching for something seeing as she was not going in an obvious direction and that she was stopping and taking a good look around before she moved on.
She finally seemed to stop at the entrance of an old tomb and started to examine the giant wooden door. The door had beautiful designs of demons and humans fighting in a large battle while dragons where soaring through the skies.
She kept looking for a way to open the door and she finally found a lever hidden behind a loose stone brick (It was a tiny lever). The door opened slowly and what greeted her was a dark corridor heading down into the depths of the tomb.
She took out a small crystal out of her large pouch and when she touched it, it started to glow. She then entered the tomb.
After a while she came upon the main chamber and saw there was a sarcophagus in the middle with detailed paintings of several demons on the walls.
She looked over towards the sarcophagus and noticed it didn't have a lid. She quickly looked around and noticed the lid had been moved and was leaning against a wall in the right corner. She became a bit nervous but decided she would move forward.
…
He awoke to the sound of footsteps.
'Ah that must be my escort, she or he is a bit late though.'
He stood up and then heard a noise.
…
She had gotten half way to the sarcophagus when a demon quickly stood up still inside the sarcophagus.
“Eeeep”
A small sound came out and she held her hands up to cover her mouth but it was too late since the demon had already turned to face her.
…
“Hello there young elf. Are you my escort?” -the demon
“N..no I was going to look for some gold in this tomb and I stumbled upon your sarcophagus.” -Unknown elf
“Well I happen to have been sealed in here and I am need of someone to show me the way out. How about we strike a deal? I will give you some of my gold and you will lead me to the exit?” -the demon
“Well alright… I will accept your deal, mister…?” -Unknown elf
“Call me Haze.” -Haze
“My name is Cela and I am from the kingdom of Humae, Nice to meet you Haze!” Cela said while her eyes gleaming with happiness.
“A pleasure to meet you too Cela.” Haze said with a grin.
…
The end of the prologue.
I will continue this fiction for however long I can but don't expect any fast updates since I am very bad at coming up with ideas and planning the chapters out.
This story is going to be mainly about Haze and his adventure through the world after he has woken up from his slumber. You will be informed of his past as he takes on dangerous missions and maybe finds his calling in the end.
Rest assured even if I get bored of writing it I will finish it but the quality might drop or the updates maybe slower.
Sincerely Herbin45 an insane Swedish guy living with his mom.

In a kingdom putting together the pieces after a series of devastating magical wars, trouble is brewing. At least that's what the Seer's vague warning to Princess Lillya claims. The Destiny Detour is third in the Black Pearl Series, but the events of this story occur 10 years after the first two, and it focuses on different characters in the world.
