' The wealth Adger talks about might not matter much for anyone else, but to Adger, It was indeed 8 Takka (Copper Coins) worth of Fortune. 'Damn, Those copper coins could have brought me something else!'

"Why did I had to buy it? She could've explained everything again. That's what, Customer service is all about, Isn't it?! " In his Anger, Adger had forgotten He was on the street and started talking to himself, which made him stand out in the wrong way. Everyone who passed by him, Stared at him with confusion and thought of him as someone with a mental disorder.

Adger noticed those strange stares from people. He reforms his posture and keeps on walking towards the Guild.

Owl's Guild (Adventurer's Guild) is not far from Owl's Inn, and It is the next building from Owl's Inn.

Adger reached the Owl's Guild (Adventurer's Guild), it took him 1min. The moment he stepped inside the Guild- He noticed a man standing on the staircase leading to the second floor of the building. The reason that man stood out to Adger was The kind of clothes this unknown person was wearing those were not fantasy clothes; instead, a black blazer with a white shirt underneath his blazer. The man, he looks at Adger- He inspected Adger with his eyes, and then, He waved towards Adger.

Adger realized that this person was calling out to him. Adger walked to this mysterious person who doesn't seem to fit in this world at all. When Adger was close enough to hear this man's slow voice, "Kid, are you, Adger? " the man asked slowly.

"---yea, I am? " said Adger. ' This guy, He is so similar to my previous underling that I could mistake him for those useless guys and act rude, I should be careful and watch my words.'

"So, you are Adger. Uh? Could you come with me? The Guild Master is calling for you. " Said the blazer guy. 'This kid is a demon? And Why the hell, he is wearing clothes like ours?? How did he come to know about these clothes; Oh yea, these new clothes are kinda getting a lot of attention for their looks-- But still, only noble--- '

Adger stood there while the blazer guy lost in his deep thoughts. Adger felt this standstill is not going to end soon. " Hello? A-r-e y-o-u there? " said Adger in monotone.

"Ah--Oh. Follow me. " With that, Blazer guy started walking upstairs. Owl's Guild consists of three floors; the first floor is for adventurers to find quests and register, the second floor is for the requestor; People who come to the Guild with requests which turned into the quests according to their difficulty and The third floor is for the staff, Including Guild Master's office. The Person in Blazer leads Adger to the third floor.

He stands in front of Guild Master's office and asks Adger, who stands behind, " We are here. Go ahead. "

Adger looks at this unknown person for a moment ' This...It screams trouble. ' but Adger had no other choice but to do what he asked so, Adger opens to door and steps inside the room, and his fear turned into reality when the guy in the blazer kicks him from behind while Adger entered into the room.

"Wh..you shit-head! " (Adger)

While Adger started falling on knees from the impact of kick, the guy in blazer grabbed both of his Adger's hands from behind and put handcuffs on his hands.

"Handcuffs?? Really? Mother-fucker!" (Adger) -Why does this fantasy world have handcuffs in the first place!

The person in the blazer didn't respond to any of Adger's words and started searching. He finds both of Adger's guns hidden under his shirt. It was not hard to find them since they weren't 'Really' protected.

"OI! FUCKER! DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH MY BEAUTIES! I'll...." (Adger) -The fuck!? I can't speak!

"Shut up, Brat. You are noisy. " (Blazer Guy)

The guy in blazer took Adger's guns and sealed Adger's mouth with some magic or tricks. He then went to say to the person who sits in front of him- The Guild Master.

"It is as you said, Guild Master. This person, or should I say, Demon seems to have got hold of our weapons somehow and caused you trouble...We will deal with him. "

The Guild Master of Owl's Guild ( Adventurer's Guild ) sat on his chair, behind a desk. Guild Master's right side was Shila, and On his left was the girl who once explained the rules of Guild to the Adger, Meeya. Adger's first impression in Meeya's eyes was not the best one. The unknown person in the blazer stands beside Adger; He looks young, 20 -year-old, and wears glasses. He lacks in his height department, like Adger. Adger was on his knees in front Guild Master's desk, unable to speak even a single word, and behind him were two spearsmen, holding their spear on Adger's neck. They could stab Adger's neck in a moment's notice if Adger were to do something.

"Oh, no. We don't want to cause you any more trouble. We can deal with this Demon on our own. " The Guild Master spoke with a straightforward voice while responding to The person in the blazer.

"Are you sure? This Demon, who calls himself Adger- If He smart enough to figure out the way our weapons used. I don't think he is someone you would be able to deal with swiftly. " (The Person in Blazer) -I wonder if this Demon stole these weapons from our members. But there weren't any reports about someone dying...how did he get hold of these in the first place? In any case, He figured out a way to use our weapons, and this is...it could put our members' existence in danger.

"You don't need to worry; we won't make a noise about it. Not about your weapons. You have my words. And this is more of a personal matter than you might think. This Demon killed someone close to me, so I have to settle it personally. "

These last words were something of interest for Adger.

As the guy in the blazer to walk out, He notices Adger's smile but ignores it.

The person left the room, and now, there were only six people left in the place. Guild Master, Meeya, Shila, and the two spearsmen were keeping Adger down.

"Well, This the end for you. Now you are going to die, Demon. " (Guild Master)

Adger forced to look down until now, and when he was finally able to straighten his neck, He looks up- He looks at the Guild Master.

Beside Guild Master were standing Shila and Meeya; Looking back at the Adger with nothing but disgust in their eyes towards him.

"Are there any last words you might want to speak? " (Guild Master)

"I... can talk now. I see. " (Adger)

"Oh--- Were you not able to talk until now? Well, those guys are mysterious. They use magic without even someone's notice. Even the weapons you used is a mystery to us. It is a shame that we couldn't look into them any further while we had the chance, and now, I also promised to not ask anything to you about them. " -I don't even want to risk asking, knowing he might have put some curse on me if I were to break my promise. (Guild Master)

"Why are you guys trying to so hard to kill me? "

Until now, I thought this all started when that Ruksail---That guy, He decided to pick a fight with me; Since he couldn't do anything to me inside the Guild he came pursuing me, with that old guy, in the night but ended up getting his ass kicked and now when Guild Master found out about it, they arrested me. But, after hearing those words from the blazer guy, I don't think this is the case.

So, what is the reason behind their motive to kill me?

"Did David asked you to get rid of me? "

" uh? What?"

It was an unexpected question from Adger to Guild Master. Until now, they were openly talking about How Adger was a demon; So, it should've been obvious. But perhaps, this Demon has met sir David before? So, the Guild Master thought.

"....you even sent those Adventurer's to kill me. What would you gain from it? There nothing to gain unless someone else asked you to kill me." (Adger) Adger was not thinking of the possibility of someone mistaking him as a demon, and there was no need for him to do so. He is, without a doubt, human.

In his previous world, He was sometimes called a demon by others. Though they weren't wrong- His actions, in his last world, were nothing less of a Demon in the eyes of a regular citizen.

" Don't tell me... " (Guild Master) While Adger was trying to stay calm and not to snap out, He has been doing that since coming to this new world; He was careful.

Guild Master was convinced-- Don't tell me, This Demon thinks we have yet to find out his identity?

Even though Guild Master was laughing, Shila and Meeya couldn't bring themselves to put a smile on their face. They remained silent. Shila's face appeared to a little sallow, and Meeya kept one of her hands on Shila's shoulder as if she was comforting her.

Meanwhile, Adger almost reached his limit. There is a limit to how far you can go, Bastards. I had enough with holding back...

Adger's face started to twist, similar to a pond when you throw a rock in it.

Guild Master notices it, and finally, his annoying voice of laughing calmed down; He is finally taking his pure form of a demon? But there is no need to worry. We can hold him down, and there is also the mysterious handcuffs on his wrists.

Guild Master has confidence in his ability as well as in the handcuffs, which can even bind down a demon lord. There is no need to worry...

Adger's anger started to taking over him--HE FUCKING DARE CALL ME STUPID!? THESE LOW-CLASS DARE TO CALL ME THAT!!!??

The older man, The person Adger killed last night; He was the father of Shera. That guy was her father?!

"You even kidnapped her fiance! Russhel! You ruthless demon! " (Meeya)

"Feeling better?! " (Meeya). There weren't any words that could describe the anger she felt when Adger announced he was feeling better after hearing of Shera's tragedy. So, she had no choice but to resort to an action which could show it how it felt to be hurt. "Even for a demon...." As she steps forwards, She takes out a knife she had kept hidden until now behind her back--

"uh?" Adger looks at the knife realizes what is coming-- He then looks at the Guild Master it didn't seem as if The Guild Master was about to stop her nor The Spearsmen behind him.

" HEY! IT WAS SELF-DEFENSE BITCH! "

"Self-Defense?! What self-defense for a demon like you! "

As Meeya thrust that short knife towards Adger--- many thoughts were floating in that room from individuals. Guild Master; He is a demon. It's not like he is going to die from a stab in his guts. I also feel like stabbing him with my own hands, but I will let Meeya do it.

Spearman, They were enjoying the drama, Knowing, nothing could harm them while the Guild Master is present.

Shera had lost her father to Adger's hands, and now, Her fiance's life was also in danger. Although Guild Master told her to rest assured about Russhel She couldn't help but be worried.

Adger was not capable of defending himself when his hands handcuffed behind back; He was not a superhuman, or some had granted some cheat ability that can save his life. But yet, While the knife kept getting closer, He didn't close his eyes in fear. There was this confident in his eyes that can even make the attacker think, 'Is this person hiding a trump card? ' and can make them doubts their ability to amidst the attack.

But Adger didn't have any trump card which he can use to save himself from this.

" OI, Shorty! What do you want to do with them? " Adger heard a voice.

There was only one single person who calls him that.

When Adger heard that voice, it put a smile on his face; "Do you even need to ask such a question? Albert. "

The knife which was thrusting towards him, suddenly, slowed down to the point where even turtle could outdo its speed.

Even though Adger called this person Albert, He was nowhere to seen in the room. It was only the voice Adger heard in his head.

"Hm... Can I make some adjustments to your plan? " (Albert)

"As long as the person in front of me dies, I don't care. "

"You mean the girl who is trying to kill you? " (Albert)

"She's just acting upon her emotions. It's not like I am unfamiliar with this. I understand this much. The one I am talking about is, so-called Guild Master. He should've never called me stupid. " (Adger)

"Hahaha! Damn-- He called you stupid? hahaha!" (Albert)

"Bastard! Stop laughing in my head! It's not funny! " (Adger)

"Well, you are stupid so--- " (Albert)

"I am...gonna kill you, bastard! " (Adger)

"You are welcome to try. Well then, let's do the thing you did when we first met! " (Albert)

The flow of time, which had drastically slowed down, suddenly resumed its pace with a blast, the smoke of the explosion covered the room, and everyone found themselves to be confused. Meeya's momentum of the attack dispersed, and now, she was standing still.

" What happened! " Shila shouted, worried about Meeya's well being as she was trying to kill a demon. What if the Demon somehow counter-attacked? Don't tell me; She's also... No! Such thoughts started appearing in her mind. Meanwhile, the Guild Master stayed calm, and two spearsmen behind Adger collapsed on the ground.

When the smoke cleared, Only two spearsmen behind Adger were missing--- On their stead, someone else had appeared before The Guild Master, Behind Adger.

"Sir Albert? What you might be doing here," The Guild Master said when He saw the person standing behind Adger.

" Meeya! Are you all alright? " (Shila)

"Ah-yes. I am alright but a little... dizzy... " Meeya said as she also collapsed on the ground. When The Guild Master noticed Meeya collapsing, suddenly, Adger appeared in his mind, and When Guild Master's gaze shifted from Albert to Adger-- Guild Master saw Adger lying on the floor, unconscious "What happened to that Ashmber Demon? "

Shila started to run towards Meeya to attend her, but she was stopped by something invisible "Why I can't move!"

"Lady, Could you please not move? " Shila heard these words when she looked towards the person who spoke them; She noticed an ominous presence. The aura from this unknown person suddenly overwhelmed her soul, and she started to tremble. The person spoke again, " I take such behavior as disrespect towards me. "Sir! Albert, please! " Said, Guild Master--His face turned pale, but when you look at his right hand, it's on his weapon? Is he ready to fight?

"What~~? " (Albert) Albert said in a monotone voice while dragging his words. Do you want some ass-kicking? You know, I can grant you your wish--Aha, you are going to die sooner or later.

"Could you please...Tone down your killing intent. These people are but of an average-class. " Said Guild Master as he gulped.

"Of an average-class, you say..." Albert looks around, then he says, " It doesn't seem that way to me. Those from average-class have already collapsed solely by my presence in this room."

Guild Master looks towards Shila; she was still trembling in fear-- Almost on the verge of mental collapse. "I insist... " (Guild Master)

Albert stays in silence for a moment, and then, he breaths in-- Shila also collapse. "Yea. Sure. I also don't want to cause a problem when I am only here for a trivial matter. " These pathetic weak humans don't deserve to die by my hands.

"......Trivial matter-- What that might be..." As if This bastard is here for trivial matters! That cannot be true! Right now, He is known as Albert Neslete, but He was once known by a different name, The Demon King! Heroes were summoned from another world- Heroes did defeat him, but after 100 years, He is already back... Thankfully, He claims to be peaceful now and never really harmed humans but instead killed off many other dangerous beings while helping humans from the shadows. Guild Master noticed a sinister tone in Albert's words, and if that was enough, His smile gave away Albert's real thoughts; Why is this happening... " Whatever do you mean...? " Guild Master realized one thing while seeing the smile Albert had; For some reason, he was careful a moment ago, but now, He doesn't care. Its as if he intends to kill...

"Oh...That pathetic expression on your face. You realized what's going to happen, didn't you? "

"But why..."

"Hahaha...Why? You ask," Albert looks in down towards his feet "you see the person lying on the floor in front of me... Do you have an idea who he is? "

Albert takes a moment to himself in silence when heard those words from Guild Master---I certainly don't care about demons. Those whom I cared for, they are already gone to a peaceful place. Those who exist right now are not relevant to me.

"I didn't ask which race he is from. I asked, If you know, Who he is. " (Albert)

Guild Master had never heard of Adger before. He never once heard his name before. If Adger were to someone prominent, Guild Master would've known his name, at least. I have some clue... When this former demon king was trying to explain something. He mentioned something about leaving two weapons at a particular place in the hope someone would pick them...Later, He would invite that person to Gun slider?

"He is... a member of your organization...I mean, Your gang, Gun Slider. " (Guild Master)

"I'm Impressed, Guild Master, but if Adger was only a member. I am sure, David, as well as I, would've forgiven you, knowing how important your role is in this kingdom. But you see, this person is far more important than important to us compared to a member " (Albert)

Gun Slider is known to protect its members to the point where they all act like a huge family, but if this person, Adger, he more important than a member; That almost like saying, He is the father of their family. But...How did I suppose to know that?

"You put your hands on him, shamed him--To top it off, Your girl almost killed him. " (Albert)

Even if I am Dragonborn, I cannot possibly stand against Albert Neslete. There is no way I can win a battle against him. So, What choice do I have? Well, I could run to my father and asks for his help.

" Adger is not an Ashmber Demon. He is human, ordinary at that." (Albert)

"No, That's not what I meant. This time-- I want to face the consequences of my mistake head-on; thus, I was asking if you were kind enough to wake up Sir Adger and ask what punishment he wishes to bestow upon me." (Guild Master) So, The Guild Master said.

"....You are planing something, aren't you? " (Albert)

"NO! I wouldn't dare! " Damn it! Did he already figure it out? I want to avoid asking for my father's help if I can solve it on my own and there is the chance that I can solve it now that I know, Adger is just ordinary human.

"Eeeee...I don't care. If Adger forgives you, this matter ends here." (Albert)

"....." He somehow changed suddenly changed his attitude?

The atmosphere in-room become a little calm and light after a few minutes of talks--

"As his companion, I will accept his wish But as his friend, I cannot forgive you for what you did to him and nor I can forgive the girl who tried kill him thus.. " (Albert)

Suddenly, Guild Master felt intense pain from one of his finger--

The pain Guild Master's finger, it started to spread in all of his fingers. And the pain intensifies as he heard Albert speaks---Then, His toes began to hurt.

"... I...Understand..." (Guild Master) --Wh...what is this horrible pain... I feel as if someone plucking my nails off my fingers and toes. The more times pass, the more it hurts. My healing magic doesn't even heal or ease my pain.

"You do, right? If you don't, I can kill your son, Russhel." (Albert)

".......h..ow..." (Guild Master) this pain... I cannot bear it anymore.

The Pain Guild Master was feeling, to Guild Master, it felt mixer of two sensations. Someone plucking his nails off his fingers, and at the same time, bones in his fingers started to twist in different positions.

This was the punishment Albert personally gave to the Guild Master without Adger's knowledge. But there was something far more horrible waiting for the girl, who tried to stab Adger, Meeya.

Guild Master couldn't speak anymore and fell on his knees in front of Adger--

"This is bliss...." Albert spread his both hands on sides and begins to take a deep breath "*phaaawwwwww* Now then I will be on my way. I will be taking Adger and the girl with me, but only for a short while, I mean, you need to spend your night with that pain. Best of luck."

"......" Guild Master couldn't comprehend what Albert said and simply, lay down on the floor as Albert took Adger and the girl with him and exited the room.

Guild Master closed his eyes and started trying to divert his attention from the pain he was suffering from, but it did nothing to help him.

My name is Benedict Crosby, son of Curtis Crosby. This pain doesn't bother me. This pain, it doesn't bother a Dragonborn! I am strong enough to resist it! I believe in myself! Blah...blah So, Guild Master went on thinking of such things.

[12 Hour Later]

No one came inside the Guild Master's room, and everyone was still unconscious expect the Guild Master; He was still suffering from the pain while lying on the same spot as he was before. Please....kill me...please...kill..me...please..kill..me...please...kill...me His thoughts turned into a suicidal mantra. If someone had asked him for all of his fortunes in return of his death--He would gladly accept it.

[24 Hour later]

Still, no one came inside the room to check--- And Guild Master's condition worsens. ------...........................----------What life? What death? They don't mean anything anymore; as such Guild Master's mind was blank. There was nothing in it. This would end up saving his life since, because of that, He cannot feel even pain.

The Guild Master was suffering, but he was fortune enough to only suffer this much. On the other hand, The girl, Meeya-- She going through literal hell.
