《Kingdom's And Armies》A Hero's Sword.

"Hero?"
The boy said with confusion on his face.
There was a man sitting on a throne.
His expression appears quite hardened.
It would seem that he was responsible for bringing him here for some reason.
"Yes, You are a hero summon onto our world to help us defeat a very menacingly villain who dares to put society at risk."
The ruler said with his voice sounding like one of those medieval movies.
"Your world?"
The boy said while observing his surroundings.
And notice a few girls in dresses giggling and whispering to each other about something.
Not to mention 8 tall guys in full plate armor that resemble a whole lot like the 15th or 14th century from his own world era.
All standing at attention with spears.
On each side of the large room.
And a dozen of people in the far background.
They looked like nobles or something.
Considering the flashy clothing's.
"I know that you might be confused to what is happening, but I assure you that this is very real."
The ruler of the kingdom said.
As if answering his curiosity.
"Why am I here?"
He asked for an answer..
"You are summoned here into our world to save us from a very powerful villain."
The boy thought about it silently.
Defeating a villain that would endanger the world.
That sounded like a huge responsibility.
"But rest for now Hero, We will provide for you and take care of you while helping you level up."
Well, he did felt tired for some reason.
A needed rest would be nice after all.
But he couldn't believe that he was in another world.
How was that even possible?
What did he mean by Level up?
Was this a video game?
The next day in the morning.
There was a knock on the door.
He sat up from the bed he was on.
His eyes looked sleepy.
"Uh, Please come in."
The boy wasn't sure how they greeted people that knocked on the door in this world.
But he gave it a shot.
Opening the door to reveal a group of people.
They enter inside the large room.
"Greetings, Hero!"
All of them bow to him.
"Is there... Something you need?"
The one in the group caught his attention more.
She was beautiful.
Blonde hair, yellow eyes and pale skin.
He begins to blush across his face.
"Ah, Sorry for our rudeness! We came to meet you by the order of the King since we will be helping you level up!"
The boy stood silent.
What did they mean by level up?
Was this really a video game and just a dream?
"A-alright..."
He soon got off of his bed.
And yawn softly while scratching.
"I'm sure that the hero had a nice rest?"
The girl said with a smile.
She was really beautiful.
"Is there something wrong?"
She asked curiously.
He realizes what he was doing.
Making a cough and smiling sheepishly.
"S-sorry about that, now what were you saying again?"

The group stared at each other silently.
Wondering if this truly were the hero to help their world.
"Um, sorry to interrupt anything but we should get going Hero and help you level up."
A grown man said who had armor on.
The boy felt embarrassed for some reason, but nodded anyway.
They guided him out of the bedroom.
Eventually, they were before the Ruler of the kingdom who was sitting on the throne.
"How was your sleep Hero?"
The ruler asked him with his cheek resting on his hand.
"It was good, thank you for your hospitality!"
The boy said before bowing before him.
"Hmm, As you know Hero. There has been problems with this new villain."
The ruler said before continuing.
"And we have tried to stop that villain, but our army wasn't enough to subdue him or even leave any mark on him."
He explains and snaps his finger.
Which two teenage boys in fashion clothing presented themselves before the ruler.
Both holding onto a long red fashionable pillow.
It had a strange glowing sword on it.
"This sword is able to eliminate the Villain."
He points out to the boy.
"But how come you couldn't use it in the first place?"
The ruler sighs to himself.
"Sadly, We have tried with the greatest warriors, we had but sadly the sword is untouchable and cannot be welded."
The boy looked at the ruler with a questionable expression on his face.
"What do you mean?"
The ruler stood up from his throne and begin to step down.
He stopped in front of the two boys holding the glowing sword.
When they notice that the Ruler was standing in front of them.
They were shaking a little due to nervousness.
"For an example."
The king slowly moved his left hand towards it.
It immediately sparks electricity.
"If I was to touch this sword, it would mean I'll be hurt doing so."
The hero stared in silence and surprise.
"So that's why you need me?"
The ruler nodded.
"Will I be able to wield this weapon?"
The hero asked and stood next to him and observed the glowing sword.
"You should be able to, according to the Legends, Once a hero is summon they would have power greater than that of an army and will be able to wield the sword."
The ruler explains further while staring at the glowing sword as well.
The two boys that were holding up the sword felt their arms getting tired.
He noticed the slight shaking and felt bad for them.
"You wouldn't mind if I can try to hold it?"
The ruler nodded and took a step back away.
Watching the scene take place.
Many Nobles and Knights observed in silence.
Even the group that guided him back into the throne room.
"Okay, here it goes."
The hero begins to reach out towards the glowing weapon.
He felt the electricity sparking against his right hand.
And soon held onto the handle of the sword.

Surprised that it didn't hurt him at all.
He soon took hold of the weapon and lifted up into the air.
Everyone was amazed at the sight.
Whispering to one another about something.
The ruler started to applause to the hero and soon everyone else join in too.
Even the knights were clapping.
(The Flashback ends.)
{Um, General! We should get going soon before the sun sets.}
The general snap out of it and shook his head.
Why was he even thinking about that just now?
"Sorry, just thinking about something."
He responded to the system.
Walking towards the Adventure Guild building.
What he needed to do is find a simple Quest.
Afterwards earn some money and he'll be able to finally buy that glowing object that's able to track very rare treasure chests.
It could come in handle when he thought about it.
He needed to do his best.
The sight of Adventures exiting and entering the guild made him smile.
Maybe it wasn't so bad after all becoming an adventurer?
He enters into the building and scan the area.
And found what he was looking for.
There were 4 large boards on the wall with many adventurers gathering together.
It was like a high school in Japan he once saw on television back in his own world.
He couldn't help but smile at the sight before walking up to one of the boards.
There was enough space for him so he didn't need to worry pushing anyone by mistake.
Scanning the quest on the broad.
There was a certain one that caught his attention for some reason.
Help a village against Goblin infestation.
"Goblin Infestation?"
He said to himself while observing the details on the paper.
[Will Pay 500 Gold.]
The General was intrigued by the reward and thought about it.
{General! This is an opportunity to level up more, but also gain more gold!}
The System was right, if he can take this quest and finish it, then he will be able to level up and gain a lot of gold.
He nods and grabs hold of the paper.
Finally making his decision.
Taking the paper off of the broad and walking to the receptionist.
A grown woman was behind the counter and notice a boy approaching her.
She smiles to him as usual to everyone.
"Hello, how may I help you?"
The general place a paper on the counter.
"I would like to take on a quest about helping a Village from a goblin infestation."
The woman was silent for a moment.
"Of course!"
She took the paper and begin to read it.
"Hmm, this is rank 5 and your rank 1? If you want to participate in this quest you must be in a group if not, then I am sorry but you can't do this quest."
He understood what she meant.
It would be dangerous for one adventurer to take on a bunch of Goblins alone.
Especially when its Rank 5.
He was only Rank 1, a rookie adventurer.
"Oh, I see, so I have to find a group then?"
She nodded with a half smile.
"Then I'll be back with a group."
He begins to walk away towards the exit of the adventure guild.
And let out a sigh.
{Don't worry General! I'm sure we can find a way to find a group!}
It's been a couple of hours asking almost half the people around the building of Adventure guild.
It seems that the Adventurers were busy with their own quest already or simply refuse due to experience with them at first hand.
He wouldn't blame them since he had to fight a group of them before when he first came to this world.
With barely any clothes and only a club stick.
He could even remember those Goblin's eyes looking at his body, they were licking their lips and full of excitement.
It sent a shiver down his spine.
{Well, that was disappointing General... Oh! I know!}
The general sat down near a chair and hung his head.
"What is it system?"
He said while still feeling disappointed.
{How about Spawning soldiers and have them register as an Adventurer!}
He thought about it silently.
It wasn't a bad idea since he was really excited to try it out as well.
"Okay, let's spawn some soldiers, but first we must find a place to do it where nobody isn't around and watching."
The general got up from his seat and begin to walk away.
Looking around for a place to spawn his soldiers' safety.
"This looks clear."
He said before looking around his surroundings.
It was a big shack building between an alleyway.
He didn't understand who would build it there, but it was probably a storage.
Since there was a shop next to it.
The boy opens the shack door and enters inside and shut it from behind.
There was nobody here.
Which was good.
The place had many equipment and items on the wall and shelves.
It seems to be a storage after all.
"It looks like I can spawn them right here."
{Do you wish to spawn in soldiers?}
{You have [20] Available soldiers.}
{Yes/No}
The general hesitated.
Would he even be able to fit so many soldiers in this shack?
"System, could I reduce the number?"
{Of course! How many soldiers would you like to spawn in?}
He thought about it and looked around the shack in silence.
"4 Soldiers should be enough."
The system went to work as a screen pop up in front of him again.
{Do you wish to spawn 4 Soldiers?}
{Yes/No?}
He presses the yes button and a bright light started to shine in front of him.
The general had to cover his eyes due to the brightness.
Once he removes his hand.
He was shocked with what he was seeing in front of him.
"Whoa..."

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
