《Correcting My Martial Path》Chapter 6: The use of the bone

“Tribal chief, are you injured?”Yong Min asked. He could see that the energy flowing through the tribal chief’s left arm to her heart was cut off from the rest.
“I am. I was once attacked by a wild beast at the bronze realm level 7. Although I was able to escape, it managed to damage my meridians.” The tribal chief said, she was once a genius that had a great future before her, but because of it, she was stuck for 40 years.
Seeing that Yong Min was able to tell that she was injured she asked him “Young lord, how did you know?”
“Say, that I could feel the flow of energy from your body, that’s why I could tell that you were injured. On the book that you let me borrow, recorded all sorts of bottle necks or accident one could possible encounter during their time cultivating. I could tell that in your case was that you were injured or that you had that since you were born.” Yong Min casually said. What he was really surprised about was how he could remember all this information. He read it once, but he didn’t have this talent of memorization in past. Was this because he started cultivating?
Looking at the tribal chief’s arm, Yong Min could only sigh. Although it was also recorded on the book that damaged meridians or inborn meridian defect could be repaired, he needed to have the skills required and the resources needed.
“You really are the reincarnation of the demon god to notice the flow of energy in my meridian, despite not having reached the bronze realm level 1.” The tribal chief said. She was happy that she could meet the reincarnated demon god before she dies. She no longer dreamed of advancing in her cultivation as she focused on nurturing the young members of the tribe.
When Yong Min heard this, he sighed. No matter what, he didn’t believe that he was the demon god. It was just coincidence that this happened. But since it already happened, what could happen if he acted like one?
Since he was the reincarnated demon god, and he was a jus-person to begin with, he had this funny idea of converting the image of the demon god in the hearts of the people to a good god. Since he was called a demon god, he ought to be bad right?

“Tribal chief, do you have any books that are related to something like alchemy?” Yong Min asked. Since fixing the tribal chief’s meridians needed one to be an alchemist, he could try and put his effort becoming one.
“No, the tribe does not have those kinds of books. But maybe the three high peaks plateau has!” The tribal chief said. Although she wasn’t sure if the three high peaks plateau has it, the three high peaks plateau has been already around for a thousand years, so maybe, just maybe, they had those kind of books.
“Three high peaks plateau?” Yong Min asked. He had just arrived on this world, so naturally he had no idea about the three high peaks plateau or any of the tribe or villages nearby.
“It is the overlord of the Li Mountain Range. I heard that the elders there had almost reached the silver realm.” The tribal chief said.
“I advice you not to go there for now to ask for a book. The three high peaks plateau is currently embroiled in a war with the Alliance of the Plain and some nearby plateau villages. They are besieged by more than 5 villages but no more than 10.” The tribal chief said. She was sure that the alliance of the plain was composed of 5 villages but she did not know if more villages decided to join the siege.
“Besieged? For how long have they been besieged?” asked Yong Min, although he wanted the book, he knew he was too weak to go there right now. Not to mention those village elders, even wild beasts that are at bronze realm level 1 are enough to deal with him.
“It has already been one month since the war started. There was quite a commotion more than a month ago, it was said that the three high peaks plateau’s posts that were on the Alliance of the plain’s land were attacked and was taken as prisoners by the alliance. But they quickly regretted their decision when they heard that an elder from the three high peaks plateau had reached the bronze realm level 9. They couldn’t contend with someone of that level. So they decided to release the prisoners, but even so, the three high peaks plateau decided to declare war with them. That’s why the Alliance of the plain could only invite allies in exchange for some of their heritage. Even if the three high peaks plateau had a bronze realm level 9 warrior, being besieged by more than 10 bronze realm level 8 warriors is still hard to defend against. That’s why they could only defend against the siege and could not counter attack at all. Still they are hard to defeat! The three high peaks plateau had proven this as they are still standing till this day for a month!” the tribal chief said with emotion, she was in awe for how strong the three high peaks plateau was.

“It seems that I must really go to the three high peaks plateau and see for myself if I could find something useful there. But first, I have to do something with my cultivation level.” Yong Min was thinking of going but first he had to solve his problem with his cultivation.
“Tribal chief, could I ask for some food?” Yong Min said. He was really hungry after he had tried cultivating for half a day.
“Of course, I would send someone to deliver the food after it is cook.” The tribal chief said. It was just a minor request of the demon god, so of course she would gladly give him some food.
“Then I will excuse myself first.”Yong Min said.
“Okay young lord, I will see you again later.” The tribal chief said, as she went to the group of young women cooking the food, telling them something.
Yong Min watched the tribal chief as she left and went to the group of young women. Then he went inside his tent and tries to cultivate again.
Closing his eyes, relaxing them, he looked at the things that the tribal chief had given him yesterday. There was a bone; it was a wild beast’s bone. Holding the bone in his hand, he realized that he forgot to ask what the bone was for. He could only hold unto it, as he tried to observe what was special about this bone. By doing so, the symbols appeared on his eyes again. He could see wisps of energies contained inside the bone. Seeing the wisps of energies, he closed his eyes, and started feeling it. He tried to guide it to his body.
It was unknown how much time had passed since he tried absorbing the energy from the bone but when he opened his eyes, he saw young woman his age, sleeping in front of him, holding a tray full of delicacies, made from wild beasts. When he saw the young woman, he noticed that it was already evening, and what was more, is that it was likely already past midnight.
He stood up and took a blanket made from wild, beasts hide and cover the young woman with it. But when he did so, the young woman woke up.
“Ahhhh!” the young woman exclaimed in horror when he saw Yong Min.
The young woman quickly knelt down and cried and said as she stammered “I’m sorry young lord, I didn’t mean to….I didn’t notice…that I fell asleep.”
Yong Min only touched her forehead and said “don’t worry, its already past midnight, just go ahead and sleep.”
As he said that, he took the tray from the young woman and started chomping at the food. Then he decided to go and absorb the energy from the bone again. The young woman was originally scared, but when he saw Yong Min not punishing her, did she relax. It was unknown when she fell asleep again, but it seemed that as if she was really tired. But Yong Min noticed when the young woman slept. Even though he had his eyes closed, he could already feel the changes in his surroundings.
By morning, when Yong Min opened his eyes, the young woman was already out of sight, he didn’t notice when the young woman left as he was focused on cultivating. Yong Min could clearly feel the change in his body. He had accidentally stepped on the bronze realm level 1 just by absorbing the energy from the bone. He could feel his muscles hardening and that it contained energy.

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.

Kingdom of Tyr (Original)
This fiction has been concluded as of the end of Book 1, the portion of the story posted here. There will be a complete rewrite as a separate fiction in the future to make the system more consistent and add more to the world while expanding on the events within this fiction. This rewrite will begin eventually, posted as a separate story. Colt, twelve, is walking home from school when he's approached by another boy dressed oddly, who asks him - theoretically - about living in another world. After asking some information about the theoretical other world, Colt says he'd probably prefer to live there, to get away from the problems he has on Earth. Once Colt confirms that, he finds himself in an abandoned city, the other boy revealing himself to be a god, who then offers to train Colt until he can stand on his own and live by himself. After a couple of months, the god sends Colt off for greater training, to learn to use both Aura and Mana, with his only instructions being to return every now and then to visit, and to make friends and have lots of fun. This story follows Colt, a boy named Tyler he meets in the new city, and their journey to growing stronger, having fun, and striving to beat each other. Note: this story is not intended to be professional-quality, and it does draw inspiration from many sources. That said, it is its own story, in its own world. It has never been and never will be edited. It will also have multiple PoV's, starting somewhere after Chapter 8.
