《Correcting My Martial Path》Chapter 4: Ao's bloodline

“Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!”
A terrifying sound could be heard from a far.
Everyone was looking at a mountain a few kilometers from where they were. That mountain first trembled and then started moving, although it was very slow, it was not something a human could hope to compare to.
It turned out that the terrifying sounds came from the moving mountain.
“Wait! Doesn’t it look like it is heading here?” Someone said as he found out that the mountain was moving in their direction.
“Shit! Run!” Someone said in panic. They were warriors, but their strength was useless in front of a moving mountain. The mountains path left a trail of havoc, flatting anything on its path.
They quickly ran to the side, dodging the way where the mountain was likely to go. They decided to watch the mountain as it did not change direction, charging straight to where it was originally going.
The mountain’s image became much clearer when it was only a kilometer from them.
It had a head on the front, resembling that of a dragon’s head. It had four limbs, and a tail. It had a shell, and on its shell stood the mountain.
It turned out to be a giant turtle!
Everyone who was watching this became even more shocked, the legs that were still shaking, lost some of its strength.
Looking carefully on the mountain behind its back, there were even living creatures on it! They could clearly see a wild beast that resembled a deer, surrounded by a group of wild beasts that resembled a wolf.
Holy shit!
It was just, really terrifying! This was their first time seeing something like this.
“Quick! Tell the great elders about this!” Old Lu ordered one of the men who quickly rode a mount and left. The mount was a wild beast tamed by the warriors from the plateau to use as a mount. Although it was a wild beast, it had a docile nature that is why they were able to tame it.
This creature was called Dagan, it resembled a horse, but it was much bigger and on its skin were thick scales, as hard as iron. It gave the mount a boosted defense against projectiles and most importantly it could travel a hundred kilometers a day.
Although the huge turtle was gigantic, and the ground was trembling, causing a mini earthquake in the surrounding several miles, the plateau was still dozens of kilometers from here, old Lu was not sure if the plateau had become aware of this terrifying creature.
Seeing the man that he ordered vanish before their sight, old Lu ordered everyone to follow and observe the giant turtle from a far, each riding a dagan, maintaining a safe distance between the turtle and them.
But the giant turtle suddenly sped up. Its speed was not something the dagan could compare to.
They could only give up following the giant turtle and head back towards their posts, discussing what they saw just now in a lively, heated up discussion.

…..
12 hours had passed since the man ordered by old Lu left and headed to the plateau, and now he had arrived at the base of the plateau. It was now midnight.
He quickly leapt off and fed the dagan some grass, gave it water and tied it on a tree.
On the base of the plateau was a gate full of guards, they numbered close to a hundred. It was the southern gate. Outside the gate were guards holding spears. Beside the gate were watch towers who had guards stationed at the top holding bows. At the base of these watch towers were guards holding swords.
Watching this scene did only the man ordered by Old Lu relaxed a little. Even though it was already midnight, the guards had to be alert.
“Chu Xuan! Aren’t you supposed to be guarding the 40th mountain on the southern part of the Li mountain range? You’re only supposed to come back the day after tomorrow! Did something happen?” A guard asked, he was the captain of the guards stationed at the southern gate. His name was Chu Muyan. He was the 8th son of Chu Gang, one of the three great elders.
“Yes, but something happened there!” Chu Xuan quickly elaborated what he and the others saw.
“What!?” Hearing what Chu Xuan said, not only did the captain react, even the guards on top of the watch towers reacted. All of them couldn’t help and have some fear when they heard it. Their hairs stood and they felt their backs turning cold. If that giant turtle decided to change its direction and accidentally go here, wouldn’t that mean that the plateau would be flattened?
“Is what you said true!?” Chu Muyan asked.
Chu Xuan nodded.
Chu Muyan and the others turned silent, different thoughts ran through their minds.
After that, Chu Muyan, along with Chu Xuan, quickly went up the plateau to report what happened to the great elders.
When they got there, they learned that the great elders were already assembled, saving them the trouble of calling each one of them before they could report what happened.
The three great elders were inside a huge tent. Although it was a tent, it was big enough to hold hundreds of people. They well all sitting on a long table and behind each of them were their personal guards. When Chu Muyan and Chu Xuan entered the tent, there was already someone inside standing in front of the great elders, talking to them. It was a middle aged man. Seeing them coming in, the middle aged man didn’t seem to notice them and continued talking with the great elders.
Chu Muyan didn’t cut him from talking and waited for him to finish. He also listened to what the middle aged man was saying to the great elders.
Hearing what the middle aged man said, one of the great elders, Lu Angou, became angry and said “What do you mean the Alliance of the plain attacked all of our posts in their lands? Are they tired of living!?”

Lu Angou became mad when he heard the Alliance of the plains attacking all their posts located on the Alliance’s land. He was determined to protect the plateau and its people with his life and that’s where his name originated from, to protect. So when he heard that, he immediately became angry.
The Alliance of the plain was made up of villages that chose to stay on lower grounds than mountains and plateau. They were allied with this Alliance of the plain, so It was something when they were attacked.
The atmosphere suddenly turned cold, the middle aged man suddenly panicked.
“That was what happened. As for if they are already tired of living, this subordinate does not know.” The middle aged man said, afraid to be punished or be directed by the elder’s rage.
“Calm down brother Lu!”Another elder said, it was Chu Gang, Chu Muyang’s father. He was wearing a grey robe, his hair was still black, but some of it was already white. He was the strongest among the elders. As he said this, without him knowing, he was emanating a very strong aura. Even elder Lu Angou and the other elder frowned and then smiled when they felt this.
Feeling his father’s aura, Chu Muyang momentarily forgot about what he was going to say and felt very happy and then quickly congratulated his father “Father, congratulations on reaching the bronze realm level 9!”
He himself was already at the bronze realm level 6. But he found it hard to raise his level in a few years.
“Congratulations brother Chu!” Lu Angou and the other elder also said, they were also happy with Chu Gang’s advancement in his strength. Both of them were only at the bronze realm level 7.
Chu Gang was already one of strongest and feared in the surrounding mountain ranges and plains when he was still in the bronze realm level 8. What now that he advanced a level higher than before. Now, his strength, without doubt, will be the iron fist of the surrounding mountain ranges and plains.
Even the other villages only had bronze realm level 7 as their great elders and those slightly better had bronze realm level 8.
Chu Gang nodded and smiled at them and looked at the middle age man again.
“What happened to those that were attacked?” Chu Gang asked.
“Luckily none were killed, but they are currently being held at the Rock Mountain village as prisoners waiting to be ransomed.” The middle aged man said.
“What do they want?” The other elder asked. His name was Ye Chung, he was the brains of the plateau. The three of them combined made the plateau strong and feared in the surrounding mountain ranges and even in the plains.
“They want us to pay 1000 gold coins or they would hold unto them until we do so.” The middle aged man said.
Hearing this, the three great elders frowned.
“Go for now, we will be discussing this first.” Ye Chung said.
The middle aged man bowed and exited the tent.
With this, the ones left inside were Chu Muyan, Chu Xuan, the three great elders and their personal guards.
Suddenly Chu Gang looked at his son and asked “Muyan, you looked panicked the moment you entered, what’s the problem?”
“Father…” Chu Muyan elaborated what Chu Xuan told him and after that the three great elders asked Chu Xuan for verification, which Chu Xuan verified.
“This..” Chu Gang and Lu Angou frowned when they heard this; it was also their first time hearing something like that. They know that the world is vast and contained many unknown things, but it was still shocking to hear something like the giant turtle.
Only Ye Chung was calm, although he frowned for a bit, it was now gone.
“It seems to inherit the bloodline of Ao!” Ye Chung said.
“Ao?” Everyone in the tent asked.
“Ao is the legendary sea turtle that appeared in the past, although it is now a legend, I doubt it was false. It carried the heavens on its back and became one of the four legendary beasts. Although what you describe was big, compared to the legendary Ao, it was nothing in comparison.” Ye Chung said.
Everyone was silent, unsure of what to say.
“Ao was said to reach the legendary realm, at that realm, it already had the power to destroy a country, much less a village. Even if that giant turtle only inherited a little bit of Ao’s blood, to grow that big, it should already be at the gold realm!” Ye Chung added.
“Gold realm..” Everyone murmured, each having different thoughts. Only Chu Xuan did not know what a warrior or a wild beast at this realm signified.
Seeing Chu Xuan seemed not to understand the level of the creature he just saw, Ye Chung explained “In this world, there are five realms that are said to reachable by cultivators like us. Each divided into 9 levels. The five realms are bronze, silver, gold, black-gold and legendary. Each time you achieved a level higher, your strength would increase by at least a multiple of your previous level depending on your talent. ”
When he heard it, he was enlightened.
“No worries, the bloodline of Ao are humanities ally; it won’t attack or bring harm to humans.” Ye Chung said.
Hearing this, everyone relaxed.
“But I wonder what caused it to wake up.” Ye Chung said to himself as he was thinking of the giant turtle. The giant turtle would slumber for hundreds or thousands of years. It would only awaken if the world was in chaos.
…..
Somewhere on the mountain behind the turtles back, a figure was lying unconscious on a patch of grass. It was a young woman. Looking closely, if Yong Min was here, he would recognize the unconscious young woman.
It was Wang Jing!
