Cassie sat in the back of a car while two men drove her to an undisclosed location. She fiddled with her hands and thought about why this even happened in the first place.

I just had to be asked to go out tonight, and mommy refused to listen to me when I said I felt something bad was going on! Cassie let out a small sigh.

The man in the passenger's seat looked back, “What’s wrong doll face?” Besides me fearing for my life? “Look, we told you we wouldn’t hurt you. Honestly, we can’t anyway unless we got a death wish or something.” He said with a chuckle,Yeah, because dying is sooo fun to talk about.

They drove until they got to a large, desolate building, Cassie didn’t recognize it, but it looked abandoned. The car stopped behind a gate and one of them got out opening the car door for her. She ignored his hand and he let out a chuckle.

“Boss did say you were different from other women.” Yeah and whoever he is can choke on a di-

“But if you make it hard on us we’ll have to do what we need to.” Right, because I’ve been doing anything to begin with. “But you’re pretty tame so I doubt we’ll have to.”

One of them went behind her, while the other began to guide her into a door at the back of the entrance. They went down some stairs and Cassie began to cough at the smell of the smoke in the room. One of them held out a handkerchief for her to have. She shook her head and took out her own, covering her nose.

Cassie was led into another room where the one in front of her opened the door and waited until she went inside. She did so cautiously, but once she was inside, he shut the door. Cassie took a moment to look at the room, specifically at the tommy gun that was on the wall behind the desk in front of her. She then flinched a bit when she heard the chair squeak. The now visible male in the chair got up and walked around his desk until he was in front of her. He leaned over giving her a small smile.

“It took them long enough to finally bring you here.” She said nothing, “I hope you weren’t scared.” You guys really don’t have a single idea how normal people are, do you? “But let me introduce myself; you might know me as The Son of the Devil, but my name's Akuma.” She stared at him, “I had you brought here in order to ask you something I normally can’t.”

“Because you’re a criminal?” She finally spoke up.

“She speaks!” He chuckled, “But criminal is a harsh word don’t you think?”

“There’s not anything else to call you.”

He stepped closer to her, “I’d say a tycoon is a better name,” He chuckled, “By the way, you can breathe fine right?” She nods. “I know you have slight asthma and I wouldn’t want you hurt in any way.” She still said nothing as Akuma went on, “But why I’ve asked you here is simple. I want you to be a part of the empire I’m trying to build.”

“Wouldn't that mean marrying you?”

“Yes.” He simply said.

“Isn’t that a bit risky?”

“How so?”

“Well, you found me, so what makes you think someone who has it out for you won’t just find me the same way?”

“If you’re saying I’m so weak that I can’t even protect a dame like you, I would have to take it as an insult. Though for you, I won’t take too much to heart…” He went back to his desk and sat down. His hand came up and he gestured for her to come closer, which she did. “Look, I know you happen to be a rather smart woman, so I guess there’s no getting over you, but what can I give to you in order for you to say yes?” How about letting me go?

“I don’t want anything.”

“Everyone has a price. So what’s yours?”

Cassie sighed, “If you know that I’m so smart, you must know that I dislike pretty much everything.”

“I do, but there’s one thing close to your heart." Cassie tensed a bit, "We couldn’t find it because you always take it with you, but it’s a book you don’t even have on you at the moment.”

Her eyes looked off, “Yes, I write.”

“Then that’s it! How about I pull some strings and allow you to work wherever you want to or get you published and more famous than Orwell.” You sound like you’re trying to do what he was afraid of.

“I don’t want my work to be good because of fear.”

“You do know that’s pretty much what all books preach right?”

“Yes, they talk about our worst fears, but I don’t write stories like that.”

“Well, whatever it is I’m sure it’ll be a bestseller, but you can’t begin that unless you start somewhere. I know I can get you off the ground.” She stared at him with a plain expression over her face, “You can either agree with me or remain at home with those people you call a family.” she bit her lip and sighed. “So what do you say?” She still shook her head. Akuma chuckled a bit baffled at her response, “Damn, I thought you’d fall for that book one.” His hand came up and he reached to grab her hand. He guided her around the desk which she reluctantly followed. She didn’t want to, but she also didn’t want to know what would have happened if she fought against him; she walked around the desk and Akuma grabbed her arm, pulling her down into his lap. She tried to grab onto anything to balance herself when Akuma pulled her chin to lock their eyes.

“W-what are you doing?” She asked.

“Likely something you can’t resist.” He chuckled while licking his lips. His eyes never left her own lips. “Perhaps staying the night with me will change your mind.” Cassie began to struggle against him. “How cute, now you resist?” He pulled her further into his lap and ran his hands up her side. “I won’t force you, but I have a feeling you won't resist me after a while.” Akuma said that while moving his head closer to her, she felt his breath on her neck and she shivered. He chuckled. “So what will you do? Fight against me or give in? The choice is yours, Cassie.”

Cassie suddenly felt her eyes open, she saw the light of the morning and sat up in her bed. She touched every part of her and realized that it was just a dream. She touched her head and sighed a bit.

“Wait… but what did I do after that?” Cassie covered her mouth and yelled. “I always wake up at the best part!”
