One giant excuse!

"What do you mean you can't help me?" Koto whined to Cassie.

"Just that. I'm sorry but this year things got a bit hectic for me." Koto sighed, "But if it makes you feel any better, I'll hang out with you after Christmas." Koto pouted.

"I wanna hang out with you on Christmas…"

"Huh? What'd you say?"

"Ah, nothing… but, if you get any free time, call me okay?"

"I will, but I gotta go. I'll see you."

"Yeah…" Koto hung the phone up, he sighed as he turned to his laptop and groaned. He then went back on his phone and decided to text both Brayleigh and Anakara to see if Cassie really was busy. "If she turned down Leigh then for sure she might really be busy, plus, I doubt Mr. Wry would give her work during the holidays!"

"Koto?" He heard his mother call out to him.

"Yeah?" He said getting up.

"Are you still on the phone?" He found his mother in the living room putting on some black heels.

"No, did you need something?"

"You really need to stop talking to yourself." She teased him.

"L-look, if you don't need anything-"

"I didn't say that. You'll be here alone until Christmas day as someone decided to take me on a holiday trip."

"That someone is the same someone who's been stopping by here?"

"Yeah… I'll call you if anything changes, but you might get to meet him this Christmas if things go well." She said with a smile.

"Well at the very least, just bring him and not a baby."

"Aw, you love being my only little boy don't you?" She went over and left a sloppy wet kiss on his cheek, "I have to go, but don't do anything stupid and I'll be back to hear about that girlfriend of yours."

"G-girlfriend!" His mother laughed.

"See you!" She happily said as she left the house. Koto tried to call down, and thankfully Leigh called him. "Hey, did she blow you off too?" Koto asked.

"Yeah, she seemed like she was really busy with something."

"I mean I don't doubt it, but what if she's lying?"

"Why would she?"

"I don't know, girls are weird like that." Koto sighed when he also heard his texts go off.

"I don't think she'd want to hear that."

"Yeah, but I also texted Mr. Wry, he said he didn't give Cassie any work."

"Then I bet she's busy with her family, you know how she gets with them."

"Maybe, but I just wanna spend Christmas with her!" Brayleigh laughed.

"Look, there will be plenty more chances for us to spend time with her. So don't stress too much." Koto sighed.

"Fine, but I'm sending her a gift."

"Wanna go out together and see if we can find anything?"

"Yeah! I'm not doing anything right now anyways."

"Alright, I'll try to get Aki, Chris and Shugi to see if they can come too."

"Okay, just send the address and I'll be there."
