Cassie sat in the Circle Point practice room waiting for Amai to show up, he had told her that he was going to put his stuff away somewhere, but he had been doing that for nearly thirty minutes now.
Cassie sat aimlessly staring at her phone when finally the door opened and Amai came into the room. She looked to him and suddenly felt a strange rush of warmth in her nose.
There’s no way I’m getting a nose bleed! He’s just showing his arms… then again I do have like a fetish for arms…
“What’s wrong?” Amai asked. Cassie sniffed and shook her head.
“Nothing, just some sinus pressure.” She rubbed her nose trying to be sure it wasn't bleeding, she then spoke. “But, what took you so long?”
“Oh, I was being lectured about something I already know.” Amai said that while beginning his stretches. “But I promise we’re going to be alone from now on.” Not like that's a good thing.
“I actually meant to tell you that over the phone; are you sure I’m even going to be able to help here?” He turned to her as he began to stretch his arms.
“You’ve seen our live stages and our practice right?” More times than I needed to honestly. She nods. “Then you should know about something I keep messing up.” You mess up?
“What do you mean?”
“Bring it up and I’ll show you.” She went on her phone and found the dance practice, Amai stopped mid stretch to point it out to her. His proximity wasn’t helping, but she ignored it as she focused on what he was telling her.
“It’s during the hook, it doesn't look like I’m messing up because no one else does it, but if you look at Tae you can see what I’m talking about.” She stared for a while and watched the member in question, it was then she noticed he did part of a move but then stopped halfway.

“Oh, is it that?” She played it back and pointed it out to him. Amai got up with a smile.
“See, I knew you were good for this.” He went back to stretching, “Yeah, me and Tae can’t figure out how it goes and since we’re the main dancers we just taught it to the other members the easier way, but we still want to know how to work this out. If I can figure it out then I can teach it to Tae and he’s better at teaching it to Michi than I am, so things will go a lot faster if that’s the case.” Cassie nodded and returned to looking at the dance, she played that part over and over until Amai was finally finished with his stretching.
“Well, what’s the move supposed to look like?” He turned his back to her, Cassie looked at him in the mirror. He went slowly step by step showing her how it was supposed to look, he did this a few times then Cassie nodded. He went to join her on the couch in the particle room.
“I really don’t know why it’s so hard to speed up, we practiced this a lot, but no one can get it. We even get scared sometimes that we can’t do it properly ever.” Cassie nods to him.
“Well, I don’t know how well I’ll be able to help, but give me a few minutes and maybe I’ll have something.” He nodded jumping up, he went back in front of the mirror as he began to do work on something else.
…
Cassie had been trying to figure out what was the problem, but after a bit she pretty much understood what the issue was and began to look at Amai with no other intention beside just staring at him.

Her sexual interest in muscular arms caused her to focus on that for a bit, she couldn’t think about anything else besides wanting to touch and grab his arms. She let out a small sigh and then Amai stopped and looked at her.
It really didn’t help that he was breathing hard due to the dancing he was doing, but Cassie remained calm as he spoke to her.
“Why did you sigh? Did I mess up or something?”
“No, I was thinking about how difficult it might be to explain what I noticed to you.” He came over with a towel around his neck.
“Try me.” She nodded and took the phone out. He leaned over trying to see the phone.
“Okay, you see how Michi begins to move his leg a bit, but then stops. You two don’t do that for whatever reason and I noticed that his leg moving follows with the beginning beat, see?” They watched it a few times and only then did Amai notice what she was talking about.
“Well yeah, but that might just be Michi forgetting we’re not supposed to lift our leg on this part.”
“Maybe, but I think that would help to keep the beat count.” Amai gave her a look before he got up.
“I’ll try it.” Amai then began from a bit before that part, he slowed down and did as Cassie said before being able to continue the move. He stopped and let out a sound of amazement. “Woah, that does help a bit!” He turned to her, “It doesn’t fully complete it, but for sure I can work around this.” Amai turned back to the mirror. “So maybe we can all do our own thing, move our hand, leg, head or whatever.” He did that a few times and before Cassie knew it he was easily executing the dance. Amai gave Cassie a big smile and turned back to Cassie going in front of her. “How’d you see that?” Besides the fact I got a bit distracted and started staring at your crotches?
“I was looking at everyone to see what each of you were doing, I just stopped on Michi because I couldn’t see him too well.” Amai pouted a bit at that.
“You were really looking at Michi?” She nods, Amai sighed a bit. “Well, when I get this down you’ll focus more on me!” I swear, I can’t even say anything about him without you getting upset. “Alright? So I’d be ready for something amazing eventually.” Cassie gave him a small smile. “But for now, I’ll practice that later, I wanna show you my solo stage!” Cassie smiled and nodded. I feel like I really didn’t do anything, but whatever, as long as Amai gets better and keeps improving it’s alright with me.

Stranger than Fiction (Draft Edition)
Rewrite -> https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/55140/stranger-than-fiction 150k words of rewritten and new content, updating 3 times a day. Faith is like ice-cream. It comes in all flavors. Greek, Norse, Sumerian, Christian— just name it and it's there. Adventures, on the other hand, are like credit cards. The first taste is free, but the price only goes up from there. Family heirlooms, now those are true evil. You get burdened with them for sentimental reasons even if they’re icky. For Lukas Aguilar, it was a pendant. A small, weird metal nib with absolutely no vampiric tendencies. All he wanted was to finish the job at hand, and get on that book he had been postponing for a while now. Instead he got served with an apocalypse for breakfast, a cave full of eldritch monsters for the company and the whims of a ruined goddess for his To-Do list. Really, a simple NO from the universe would have sufficed. Acknowledgments Editor-in-Chief: Solo Starfish Artwork: Exodus

The Curio Shoppe
Kellan Klein is an ordinary college student with an average, if traumatic and painful past. Everyone grows up grappling with depression and anxiety that seem to be genetic in a house with parents that, while loving, fight all the time and have weird ideas about what kids should and shouldn't do, right? Everyone deals with bullying, racism, judgement on their romantic inclinations and their family's economic status and just general shittiness, right? All of Kellan's friends sure did, and for all of them, entertaiment media were a welcome escape from their painful, dreary lives. After all, who wouldn't want to sail the seas with Monkey D. Luffy and the Strawhats, or help Meng Hao con increasingly powerful and influential people, or join Cecil Harvey and his friends on their weird journey to save the world, or make friends with Peter Parker while pretending to not know he was everyone's favorite wall-crawling superhero? Kellan certainly wanted to, and while he pursued college to seek out a career he saw himself enjoying, something felt inexplicably empty about his life. So when a decidely sinister force kidnaps him and the prettiest man he's ever seen saves his life and offers him his wildest dreams, Kellan becomes the shopkeeper of a mysterious, dimension hopping shop, complete with a system that helps him acquire items. abilities, materials, and other cool shit to stock it with, as well as some other neat perks. Will Kellan become a boring overpowered MC, like the kind from web fiction that he reads to sate his boredom? Will he keep his generally kind, sweet nature despite the shit he's gone through and will go through, or will he inexplicably become a scary, violent, irrational arrogant douchebag? Will he use his newfound abilities to explore the multiverse and improve the lives of himself and others, or will he become his own antithesis, a purely mercantile jerk obsessed with money and profit, with no concern for anything that doesn't help or hurt his business? Find out in The Curio Shoppe! Author's note: Please suggest possible setting he could visit in the comments. I'll gather ones i'm familiar with, and at the end of every arc, a poll will be held to decide the next location he visits. There will be polls for other purposes, and I might not always go with the poll winner if I feel one of the other options is more fun to read/write about. I will not use the settings of other RRL writers without their permission.Do not ask for that, unless the author in question gives permission. Most settings he visits will be slightly AU in some way or another, but please remind me if I drift too far from canon unintentionally or characterize a character wrongly. This work will eventually fit all tags I selected once he visits universes suited to those tags, so don't ask when or where a given tag is coming. I do not own the cover art, it belongs to Nicholas Belanger Thiel, and I will stop using it if he asks me to. Kellan doesn't look like the old man on the cover, though once he acquires a disguise-type ability he may occasionally use that appearance. The tapir, however, will be a thing, as despite looking like a failed attempt at an elephant, tapirs are cool and this dragon finds them to be kinda cute. The art, along with more of Nicholas's pieces, can be found at https://www.artstation.com/artwork/51bXz
