《Going Out With a Bang》Going Into Action (2)

Done. 49 minutes for the government and only 13 for the bank, a new record I’d say, I even got myself a little under one hour to spare, it shouldn’t matter much if I waste it though, with the number of funds I embezzled from the bank, I would have enough money to last a lifetime if I was planning on making it normal of course. The real challenge starts now.
I have enough information that I could compromise the two countries and make them fall into chaos at a moments notice, now to spread the message, let’s use Woom, I’ll set up enough firewalls so that they’d never be able to crack them to track me, and set up false coordinates in case. I can’t take any chances.
Copying the data and coding from Woom, to create my own communication platform barely took 10 minutes, but I couldn’t use a public video chatting service for what I’m about to do, it’s a terrible idea. I made sure only my voice can be heard but both of their faces will be visible, I can’t hide the future comrades in arms against the world to not see each other, thankfully I also carried the auto-translate feature over from Woom otherwise this could have been troublesome. . Since I hacked into both of the countries’ most secure files, my made-up plot Hirenfa is planning to take over the two countries should be credible enough. I sure as hell hope this works, I only have one shot, I never believed in God, but damn, I pray they buy the fake information I set up to get them to work together.
DING!
Kim-Ha-Jul, the Korean leader/dictator, has been added to the call.
DING!
Zhao-Liu, the Chinese dictator, has been added to the call.
“What the hell is going on here!? What the shit's happenning,” Zhao Liu screamed in confusion.

“What’s happening here?!”, Kima-Ha-Jul then echoed, sounding less angry.
The voice modifier is on, coordinates are hidden and my video is off, time to pull of a con now.
“Welcome gentlemen. You can call me Silverwind, and as for the reason I am here, it’s because I believe I can be of assistance to both of you.”
“China needs no assistance! We will succeed on our own, I have no need of your help!” stated Zhao Liu, apparently he was offended by the thought.
“Korea can manage just fine on its own, we have no need for a stranger’s services.”, replied the other dictator, keeping his poker face.
“Oh I think you do, more than you know, here’s a little gift, from me to you enjoy, and reconsider your words after you see it.”
A sound echoed in the call from the side of the two leaders. Shortly after the faces of the two dictators lost all of their arrogance and Kim’s poker face crumbled, as the color left their faces and they turned pale both started worrying much more about what the mysterious caller could do.
Surprisingly, Zhao-Liu was the first one to retrieve his cool and tentatively started asking something.
“W-what do you want? What is actually going on here?”
“Well, my two new associates, what I just send you is enough inside information to make both of your countries sink in 24 hours. So now I will ask you, will you listen?”
“O-of course. Immediately!” the leader of Korea first answered.
“I have no problems whatsoever.” The Chinese dictator enthusiastically announced right after.
Everything’s going according to plan, for now, phase two starts now.
“Good. What you see here is the data I collected from hacking into both your countries’ most protected databases, this is just small leverage and insurance policy I had to get, however, don’t misunderstand me, I have no intention of using it.”

The faces of the two heads immediately relaxed from their previously tense expression, but now they expected more heart-stopping messages and readied their minds.
I continued.
“Just the fact I managed to get this info should be a testament to my skill, now, the reason I contacted you two today is for this.”
This is the crucial part. I send the fake plans of Hirenfa to take over the countries to them, and now I can only hope this works.
No amount of mental preparation could ready them for the surge of life-threatening information they just received. This was essentially a calling card dooming the two countries.
After receiving enough time to skim through it I started speaking again.
“This is why I called you here. Most of the world is already under Hirenfa’s shoe and scrambles for their approval. You both know if those plans come true none of you would survive, either because of a lack of manpower, or technological development.”
The two dictators showed a hint of rage at being made fun of in their countries’ weak spots, but they couldn’t do anything about it. The operators they contacted hadn’t been able to track the signal and even if they did, by now they had no choice but no listen to my proposal. This still didn’t discourage Kim-Ha, the most paranoid of the two, so he started questioning him.
“What exactly are you proposing here? There is no free meal in life, what do you want.”
“I don’t want anything,”
I lied through my teeth, my true objective can’t be revealed or everything will be for not.
“I simply want both of you to resist Hirenfa. The only thing I want is for Hirenfa to not control the world, I am simply giving you a mean and idea. My proposition is that you two ally. Korea would benefit from China’s huge manpower while China would be able to catch up to the times in terms of technology.”
The two dictators were shocked and couldn’t process what was happening.
“I’m also proposing that after your alliance, you launch a preemptive strike at Hirenfa before they attack you and force you on the defensive.”
Zhao-Liu started talking with his eyes still opened wide and his mouth still a bit open from the shock.
His facial features distorted as he spoke. His smooth black hair started to shrivel and as his head shook, move out of place, his green eyes were moving about everywhere, looking at all the details of his office quickly, and his very lightly, yellow-tinted skin started to crease.
“What you are proposing, if I understand correctly, is that we work together to start a war with the whole world?”
He still couldn’t believe what was happening and thought it was a terrible joke until I spoke again.
“Yes, that’s exactly what I mean.”
The eyes of the two bulged out of shock, and for the first time of the entire meeting, they both spoke in unison.
“I’ll think about it.”

City of Champions Online
Having found the tragic truth that an art degree is worth less than the paper it is printed on, Jacquelyn Jones is frustrated with her dead end work as a graphic designer for a marketing firm, finding new ways to try and convince people that this week's 50 cent off sale is actually worth driving to the store. She's tried other VRMMORPGs, but they've all been fantasy-based, with a couple sci-fi games thrown in. But she wants something more, something Super. Superhero VRMMOs have had a... subpar reception in the past, in part due to the fact that the nature of most MMOs makes for fairly unheroic tales. After the couple hundredth time blasting the same group of mooks from the same faction on the same street corner of the same city, using the same powerset as everyone else because you only have a few options, it is hard to think of yourself as a hero anymore. But then she heard about City of Champions Online. For the first time, a developer partnered with a tabletop RPG maker to use their system to create a VRMMORPG, and it was one of the systems designed to be used with superhero games! And despite the name, there was no getting stuck in the same city as all the other players. The game world was a detailed replica of the real world, down to having some of the same shops and restaurants in town. She could be whoever she wanted, whatever she wanted. Now, she just has to find a way to become the heroine she's always wanted to be.

Starchild
“It’s life’s illusions I recall. I really don’t know life at all.” from the song, Both Sides Now, by Joni Mitchell Starchild is an adventure novel set within an understanding of reality that is rooted in Eastern spiritual traditions. It takes as its starting point experiments in remote viewing that were genuinely undertaken by the American military in the nineteen-nineties under the name of the Stargate Project. It then imagines how a more advanced attempt to weaponise the capabilities of consciousness might have been developed in the present day.The story then explores how Ultimate Reality might respond to such a threat.Deep, elemental forces thus bring together Samantha Martin and Sahadeva Varma, old colleagues from the Stargate Project, to avert the apocalyptic consequences of this military attempt to weaponise consciousness. This fast-paced story spans genres including romance, action, adventure, science fiction and more. Although this story is based on concepts drawn from established spiritual traditions, these have sometimes been extrapolated to the point of very extreme speculation for the needs of an adventure story.Much of the underlying philosophy, however, as explained in the dharma talks given by Samantha Martin, is paraphrased from the guidance of respected spiritual teachers. Scheduling: Starchild is a previously unpublished novel of one hundred thousand words which was serialised in weekly instalments over twenty-five weeks from 15th November 2021 to the 29th April 2022. Each instalment contains five chapters – an average of approximately four thousand words in each instalment. The Eternal Vigil
The year is 2220, a time when governments and nation-states are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Instead, all prominent parts of human society are now organizing around the commands of three great Artificial Intelligences, owned and operated by the world's largest corporation. World peace has been achieved, and the very word 'politics' has disappeared from people's lips. Religion has largely disappeared, replaced in some parts by worshipping of the great AIs, but mostly substituted by a devotion to material goods and faith in the market. There is now a general consensus that the best form of government has been found. No, it is not democracy, nor is it autocracy or oligarchy. Instead, it is technocracy - rule by the learned, the intelligent, and the skilled. And who are more learned, intelligent, and skilled than the great AIs? Exactly, no one. The AIs will correct some market failures once in a while, but shall otherwise let the market be free. After all, the freer the market, the freer the people. Some may question how society advanced to this stage, but that is all they will do - question. Because they will not find answers, for history is no longer taught anywhere. After all, it is not a practical subject. One cannot get a decently paying job with a history degree. Society doesn't have any time for people to idly ponder about the past. No, this is a practical society of practical people: engineers, doctors, lawyers, developers, managers, bankers, soldiers, and the such. My name is Aiden Scivit and I used to be one such practical man: minding my own business, doing my job, with the faith that hard work will always be rewarded by the market...and that politics and philosophy were things thought of by idly people who leech off society. But this all changed, and here is my story, my history. Just because the stories of ages long past have been erased, does not mean that a brand new beginning cannot be created. The story is already finished but I still need to do some editing so a chapter should be released each day for a month. It is a bit political, as you can probably tell by the introduction, so there is that (it will low-key read like a philosophy dump 10% of the time, so really it's like Atlas Shrugged but liberal and worse lol). Also, I actually wrote this in grade 10 as part of my MYP Personal Project, and recently touched up on it for online publication. Finally, if you find the writing style passable and are interested in my other works, check out the one in the link below. It is a fantasy set in the Ancient Greek world, and is completed and uploaded in full: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/35099/the-oresteia-modernized
