《Going Out With a Bang》The Death of the Grandest Devil
Advertisement
This is it.
The moment I’ve been waiting for my whole life, the time of my death. I’d done everything I needed, my plan was perfect. Now I just had to add the final blow, the cherry on top, my last encore. These were going to be my final words, the whole world would hear me shout, I had to pick them well.
As the military pointed their guns at me, those were the only thoughts going through my head.
My execution.
My death would be broadcasted to the entire world. I mean, considering what I’d done, of course, it would, I changed history itself. Because of me, the world would forever be changed. I alone accomplished what every country in the world feared to do, I caused too many deaths for one human to burden. I had killed half the world, I had caused World War III.
So I can understand the death penalty, besides, it’s what I asked for. I wasn’t just gonna kill myself and die hidden from the world in a secret bunker. I wanted to die, it was my life’s goal; however, if I was dying I was going out with a bang.
On this day, my name, Blake Silver was going to go down in history, my death would be remembered for ages to come, my life recounted in history books. I would be known as a genius hacker, as a crazy psychopath, as a killer, and most importantly, as the man who caused half the world to die, the man who caused world war III.
I finally knew what I was going to say, I found my words, before killing me they had to listen, that’s the pact they made with me. I let myself get caught so that my legend would end on a high note so that I wouldn’t fade away in the slightest before my death. I needed a proper stage, so after the countries, I manipulated lost, in exchange for me surrendering myself, the remaining countries agreed to my demands.

I wanted a stage, a place to broadcast my public execution, my last words, and a screen to complete my show. Now that I look at it, it certainly isn’t impressive, they could have at least made an effort, I mean, not to brag or anything, but I am the most wanted criminal in the world. The stage wasn’t polished, bits of wood and splinters poked out here and there, and the screen behind me had a thin layer of dust on it and the glass was cracked in some places, and the crowd not watching the live or TV was smaller than I thought. Well, not matter, it won’t change what’s going to happen here anyway. The last man loyal to me to who I left this final matter was ready, time for the speech, my last encore would be in Spain. I got ready to shout, time for the closing act.
“People of the world, let me ask you a question! Will you be remembered? Will your life or death have any point?... No. The answer is it won’t. The reason is simple, before this war, the world had 8 billion other people to care about than you, so no one would remember your pathetic and pointless life. Even now when only 4 billion of you remain alive, what changed? Nothing! No one will remember your life nor your death! But! People will remember mine, I will be remembered as a monster, worse than Hitler, or anyone in the world, but I will be remembered. ”
Everyone watching shut their mouths, shocked by this declaration. I waited a bit before I continued.
“An idiot once said, history only remembers the winners. That’s bulshit, as long as the loser was enough of a monster, he will be remembered, maybe even more than the winners. Take Hitler for example, he is more famous than any world leader that fought against him at the time, albeit because of bad reasons, but what do I care! These are my final words and atrocities to this Earth! Your life is pointless, so will be your death. But mine won’t, I made sure of that. I thought my life was pointless too, however, I was going to make sure my death wasn’t, no matter the cost!”

At this moment, the screen that had been off the entire time turned on. On it, eight videos were being displayed. On it, eight capitals were displayed: Paris, Washington, London, Beijing, Berlin, Moscow, Tokyo, and Abu Dhabi.
“This is my last gift to you people on this planet, enjoy it well. There’s no giving it back, cause if I’m dying, I’m going out with a BANG!”
“FIRE!!!”
The order was given, but it was too late, as I snapped my finger, these eight capitals exploded into dust. The very last, most developed bombs my countries produced before getting destroyed, I made sure some special agents placed them well. It was at least 10 times more powerful than the explosion in Hiroshima at the time, the pinnacle of technology, so ironic it is itself used to destroy technology.
I felt free. I never imagined dying so satisfied would feel so good. I knew everyone was right, I must relay have gone crazy a long time ago. As the hundreds of bullets pierced my body, and as my blood poured out of my body while I fell down on my back, only a smile could be seen on my face. My death had a point, it had a very devastating point, but it would be remembered forever.

The Infinity Islands
I was just supposed to be a normal guy! I was about to graduate from my normal university with my normal English degree, about to begin my first foray out into the real world. But somehow, I had ended up worlds away instead. Far, far away from home, in a world that should have been just like mine, running and fighting for my life in a war I didn't understand. None of us knew why or how we were there or what we were ultimately supposed to accomplish. But that didn't really matter, did it? In my new world, there was only one rule: survive! --- Hey all, I'm Ken, and this is my first time sharing a story online. This story is heavily inspired by Terror Infinity, if it wasn't obvious from the title. I've been interested in making a Terror Infinity story for a while now, but I have a lot of problems with its system and mechanics, so I decided to just make my own system instead of trying to adapt to that one. If you find any mistakes, typos, or awkward phrasing please let me know in the comments so I can fix it! I hope everyone can enjoy this story but, even if you don't, please let me know why and what you think I can do to improve. Thank you. (The original picture for the cover can be found here)

The Grey Realm, an Erebus Story.
Written by: Staugroan and The Inklets. Edited by: Claudia Adams. In the beginning there was a god, who watched over and made one world his own. Soon after the god grew restless, but happened to stumble on a small world filled with life. This world was named Erebus by its peoples; humanity. The god was so fascinated with this new world that he started to copy it back home, creating oceans, forests, deserts, and so forth. Then the god created life and eventually his favored creations who would be immortals and be the better of mankind in every way-the elves. So often the god had traveled to Erebus that the two worlds became linked by magic and their inhabitants could cross at will. Relations between the races flourished, and a great empire was born in the Grey Realm, home of the elves. But the god once again grew restless, and set loose great beasts that stood at the top of any food chain, the apex. At first the elves met the challenge and fought them head on. But mankind was not so lucky, they died in droves to push back even a single apex. Something had to be done. Elves and man worked together to begin sealing off the worlds to protect mankind, to limit the ways in and out to better fight the apex off and keep their fellows safe. The ritual had adverse effects the likes of which neither the elves nor man could predict; the sealing of the worlds started slow, but the magic had never been done before, and in their ignorance it spread to completely cut the two worlds off from one another. It ejected the apex, and other magical being back into the Grey Realm, saving Erebus. At first the elves were content, they would find a way back once the apex were dead and gone. But the seal had done more than keep Erebus locked away. The powersource of the seal was magic itself, from both worlds, and it consumed it all greedily. The elves, weakened without their magic, crumbled into ruin, and the apex were free to hunt the other races of the Grey Realm. Two-thousand years later a strange phenomena is occurring and magic is slowly returning to the Grey Realm, and tears open that allow passage to Erebus. Thu'lain and a few elves must make the journey to fallen kingdom of the elves Anosora, in the hopes of reclaiming what was once theirs. They must face their nemesis the apex, and survive not only the species that have turned against them, but a terrible being left behind by the god to kill even the apex. Uch'l'thein, the faceless terror.
