Yuki and Kaoru were entering the mall where they were gonna spend the rest of their date at

“So where do you wanna go first?”

“Can we go look for a book that was just released?”

“Sure I don’t mind tagging along”

They both entered a bookstore that was close by the entrance of the mall, Yuki saw the book he wanted and picked it up

“Wait, the new volume dropped already?”

“Does Kaoru also read this series?”

“I read some light novels in my free time”

“Oh, have you read this other series?”

They both started a conversation about light novels, Yuki was a bit surprised Kaoru read light novels since he thought she wouldn’t be into them

“I guess never judge a book by its cover huh,” he thought to himself

“I think I’m going to get a copy”

They both headed towards the counter to pay for their books

“I got this don’t worry”

“No it’s okay let me pay for both, I feel bad since you paid for lunch, at least let me pay for these two books”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes”

Kaoru paid the book for Yuki as a thank you for paying for the lunch

“Anywhere else you wanna head to?”

“How about we go pick out something for the other?”

“Like something that the other would like??”

“Yeah one that the other would think they look great wearing”

“Okay, then”

“Let’s go to a store that has things for both of us, then well meet up after we’re done”

Both Yuki and Kaoru were thinking heavily about what they should buy the other once they entered the store, they split up soon after

Yuki Pov

“Would a skirt-dress fit Kaoru style?”

“Maybe I should get her it but I don’t know if she would like that”

“What about some jewelry”

“It looks like she doesn’t have any but some wouldn’t look bad on her”

“A necklace maybe?”

“I need to check their necklaces”

Kaoru Pov

“What should I get Yuki hmm”

“Wouldn’t a coat fit him”

“I think a nice coat would be good for him, I mean it is starting to get colder nowadays”

“Okay let’s head over to the coat section”

Both Pov’s

“I just paid, what about you?” was the text Kaoru sent to Yuki

“I just paid too, where should we meet?”

“Let’s just meet at the bench outside of the store”

“Okay”

They both arrived shortly at the bench, Yuki noticed Kaoru was with a bit of a larger bag, while Kaoru noticed Yuki didn’t have anything

“Could he not think of anything?” she thought

“I’ll go first if that’s fine”

“Alright”

“Here”

Yuki opened the bag to see it was a coat, the season was just entering winter so she thought it would be nice to have it since it would also get colder

“Thank you, I like it”

“No problem I thought you would like it for the cold”

“Here, I know it might not be much compared to a coat but I think it would look good on you”

Kaoru opened a small little box that Yuki gave her, it was a heart necklace,

“Thank you, I love it”

“No problem I didn’t think you owned any jewelry and thought it would look great on you that’s why I decided to get you it”

They both were happy with their gifts, especially Kaoru this was the first gift she’s ever given and gotten from a guy

“Do you want to go get ice cream to end off today?”

“Yeah”

They both went to an ice cream shop at the food court of the mall

“I’ll have vanilla”

“I’ll have strawberry”

Yuki ended up paying for both ice creams since he told Kaoru it was his job as a man to pay

“Are you sure, I could just pay?”

“No, it’s fine”

They both got their ice creams and left the mall

“I’ll walk you home if you’d like it's gonna get dark soon?”

Yuki asked Kaoru

“No it’s fine you’ve done more than enough today, either way, I take the subway back home so don't worry"

“Let me at least walk you there”

“Sure”

Both arrived at the subway and Kaoru was the one to speak first

“I had fun with you”

“I’m happy to hear that, I did too”

“Thank you for everything, I’ll text you later if that’s fine with you”

“Sure, I’ll be waiting for it then”

“Goodbye Yuki,” she said while smiling

“Goodbye Kaoru,” said Yuki as he was stunned by her smile
