[Sissel and Goldberg are sat on the rooftop back in 2009. They’re sat on the edge, watching the old Wonderland team diffuse the Storm from Benny. Sissel’s eating a bowl of cereal wearing a blue dressing gown and red pyjamas. Goldberg has taken off his jacket and is resting it in his lap, making the knife wound more prominent. Sissel occasionally glances away from the scene, looking at Goldberg’s wound. He eats a mouthful of Shreddies as Goldberg looks to him.]

Goldberg: I have a question- [annoyed] Will you stop staring at it?

Sissel: [muffled] Sorry! Sorry.

[Goldberg sighs, turning into a faint chuckle as he looks forward.]

Goldberg: Anyway… why do they call you Sissel? When your name is Cecil?

[Sissel swallows, chuckling.]

Sissel: Oh yeah, um… oh god, so the first time that I met Tracey? Back in secondary school? We’d been at the bus stop, just… making conversation and getting to know each other. She’d seen me catch her during a prank-

Goldberg: Sticky notes on the car.

Sissel: [excited] She brought it up!

Goldberg: She was quite proud of it.

Sissel: That’s fair, it was quite good. Anyway so we’d been talking properly and halfway through realised that neither of us knew each other’s names. She said Tracey but I was still kinda nervous so just mumbled my name. She called me Sissel and I… never corrected her.

Goldberg: Well…

[Sissel gets a mouthful of Shreddies.]

Goldberg: Bit dumb on your part.

Sissel: [muffled] Hey!

Goldberg: I’m not wrong! You should have corrected her, made it much easier!

Sissel: [muffled] I was going to-

[Sissel swallows. The Wonderland group are making their way off the rooftop.]

Sissel: [embarrassed] I was going to! But she’d already told everyone I was-

Goldberg: Wait, this is it! Action!

[Goldberg quickly walks over to Alice as she moves towards the empty edge of the building.]

Goldberg: [excited] Quiet now!

Alice: [calmly] In the chest… punch him in the chest. That always works.

[Alice turns and leaves, Goldberg turning back to Sissel and pointing at him. Sissel quickly swallows his mouthful.]

Goldberg: [excited] Now what does that tell you?

Sissel: That she knows who I am.

Goldberg: [excited] And?

Sissel: That she knows we would be there?

Goldberg: [excited] Exactly!

Sissel: [confused] But how though? We’ve never met before about last week and yet she can see me and tell me how to save my life when I’m not even there? Why did she even save my life?

[Goldberg nods quickly, slowing down and losing his smile.]

Goldberg: Okay, so we’re not as close as I thought we were.

Sissel: No, it’s- it’s good! We have something… I think.

Goldberg: Oh, definitely something. I knew these people, it’s something.

Sissel: Great! Well… now what?

Goldberg: Um… we should head back.

[Sissel sighs. He places the bowl on the floor, patting his chest.]

Sissel: [unenthusiastic] Okay, fine, just… if I start coughing up blood, I won’t forgive you.

Goldberg: [sarcastic] Oh because you don’t have anything against me already.

Sissel: True.

[Goldberg moves in front of Sissel and quickly punches him in the chest. Sissel groans and falls back off the building as the world falls apart. It quickly turns back into Sissel’s living room, sat on the sofa with a bowl of cereal at his feet. Goldberg stands in the centre of the room. Sissel groans.]

Sissel: [groaning] That’s not fun.

Goldberg: Sorry but we don’t want you having another fit.

Sissel: [groaning] Sure… my guardian angel strikes again.

Goldberg: Please, I’m barely that. Although…

[Goldberg goes silent, Sissel look at him in confusion.]

Goldberg: Velma’s coming downstairs. Seems to be in a hurry.

Sissel: [confused] How the hell can you hear her?

Goldberg: [surprised] How can you not?

[The door into the living room swings open as Goldberg vanishes. Velma enters the room wearing an orange hoodie and glasses, along with some black jeans. She quickly moves over to the other sofa in the room and reaches behind it. Sissel picks up the bowl from the floor, chuckling.]

Velma: Don’t you dare.

Sissel: [chuckling] I didn’t say anything!

Velma: You were thinking it!

[Velma pulls out a sports bag with a cyan and purple skull design, swinging it around onto her back. Sissel looks at her confused as she turns to face him.]

Velma: How do I look?

Sissel: [confused] Um… good? Are you okay?

Velma: Yeah, course I am, why wouldn’t I be?

Sissel: [confused] Just… it’s barely lunch and it’s saturday, you’re never up this early.

Velma: Yeah, well, I’m… busy.

[Velma quickly walks out the room again, Sissel getting up and following her. She’s stood just outside the doorway, looking into a mirror and brushing her hair with her hand.]

Sissel: [concerned] Be honest with me…

[Velma looks at Sissel worried.]

Sissel: [concerned] Are you going on a date?

Velma: [annoyed] Wha- Cecil!

Sissel: [defensive] Hey, I think I deserve to know if my mum is going on a date!

Velma: [annoyed] Will you grow up? Look, it doesn’t matter anyway.

Sissel: [defensive] No it doesn’t, but it’d be nice to know!

Velma: [annoyed] Cecil!

[Velma looks at Sissel angrily.]

Velma: [annoyed] I’m going out to meet someone from college, okay? Something about work! So stop asking!

[Velma looks back to the mirror. Sissel backs up and moves back to the sofa.]

Sissel: [mumbling] At least I asked…

[Velma storms around the corner.]

Velma: [angry] Excuse me?

Sissel: [angry, faux-calm] You know what I said.

Velma: [angry] You had no right to-

[Sissel quickly gets back to his feet.]

Sissel: [angry] And you have no right to spy on me!

Velma: [angry] You haven’t tell me anything for months!

Sissel: [angry] Why should I? You can’t even tell me what-

[Sissel stops himself, taking deep breaths and holding his face in his hands. Velma sighs, rubbing her eye.]

Velma: [tired] Is that what this is about-

Sissel: [tired] I-it’s fine.

Velma: [tired] It’s not fine, Cecil, it’s not fine.

Sissel: [tired, over Velma] It’s fine, mum, really, it’s fine.

[Velma holds Sissel’s shoulders. He goes silent.]

Velma: [tired] Look, Cecil… if you wanna talk about it-

Sissel: [defensive] I really don't! I honestly don’t!

Velma: [quickly] But if you do then-

Sissel: [defensive] Then I’ll figure it out.

[Velma sighs. Sissel moves back over to the sofa.]

Velma: Um… are you going out today?

[Sissel picks up his bowl of cereal, drinking the milk from it off a spoon. He shrugs.]

Velma: Well if you do, get the slow cooker down. I’m gonna make casserole.

Sissel: [tired] Okay.

[Velma nods slowly. She turns and leaves the living room, the sounds of the door opening and closing. Sissel sighs, leaning his head back against the sofa. Goldberg appears next to Sissel.]

Goldberg: [worried] Hey, you wanna get some help?

Sissel: [tired] I don’t think I wanna go out now.

Goldberg: [worried] No, trust me, you’ll wanna go where I’m taking you.

[Sissel looks over to Goldberg, confused.]

Sissel: [curious] Why? Where we going?

Goldberg: Support group.
