《My Roleplay Server》Chapter 2 A Whole New World

The changes that Kamara saw really made his day better. The world he was in is far better than his previous one. It was like night and day. That wasn't to say that there weren't any bad things about it, he just felt the good outweighed the bad.
The first thing that he noticed was the way the world was organized. Although there were still countries, they were all still under one governing body, The World Government. The World Government was founded about one hundred and fifty years ago after The Great War, almost, occurred in 1862. And its main goal is to ensure world peace, manage the world currency and ensure regular civilian rights are protected. It is made of 13 council members, with each continent sending two elected officials. The council members, once elected, serve twenty years in their seat before their seat is up for election. The only exception to this rule is the 13th seat, the Keita council seat, which is perpetually held by the Head of the Keita Dynasty.
The interesting thing he found about the Council members was that they didn't have to have any political or administrative background to become one. Literally, anyone can run for the office. Though it does become much harder without such a thing, for experience and financial reasons. It is actually fairly common for this to happen and there are currently six seats filled by such people. One of them is currently the vice-chairman of the Council. Many of the individuals who win this are people who are either geniuses or extremely charismatic.
There were more things he found on the internet about the World Government and Council, but he didn't have all day to spend on just the world government so he only looked at the most important things. The first thing that he found cool was the aforementioned world currency.
The world currency was implemented by the world government and it goes by credits. It is a fully digital currency and is used as the base currency around the world. All international transactions must be done in this currency. Individual countries can have their own currencies that they use internally but credits are used in most areas and are accepted in all.
From what he found the credit system is strictly regulated and managed by the World Government. Making it incredibly hard for individuals to build up vast amounts of wealth like in his old world. That doesn't mean there aren't insanely rich people, it's just the money is more spread out to the regular people. Causing the middle and wealthy-class population to be much larger and the poor population to be minuscule in comparison. Kamara quickly learned though that those considered "poor" are mostly people who have chosen to homestead or stick to their cultural roots and live off the land. They legally have to be put down as poor because they don't have any fiscal wealth.

Another thing he learned that piqued his interest was the way world citizens are treated. Every citizen below a certain tax bracket is given the following benefits: Universal and Free Healthcare, free education (up to bachelor's degree), housing(depending on family size, up to ten people), and stimulus that is enough to pay for people basic needs. The amount of benefits varies depending on the location one chooses to live in. Large cities usually do not offer many benefits, regarding housing, because it is not necessary to live in a city and the space available is valuable. Therefore most cities only offer benefits for families of up to three people.
Upper-middle-class and rich citizens do not receive the housing and stimulus benefits though. Unfortunately, that meant Kamara didn't receive these benefits either.
There were three or four more things that fascinated Kamara about the World Government, like the election process, their military strength, etc. But he forced himself to move on.
The next thing he found that interested him was the history of Africa and its citizens. He quickly found that it was completely different than what it was before. It's very early history was still similar but at some point, a huge power rose from the Western side of the Continent and quickly started expanding its influence outwards. Known as the Mali Empire, it was a very wealthy nation built on the backs of gold and diamond mines. Because of its vast wealth and willingness to share it, it was able to negotiate most of its expansion with only occasionally having major conflicts throughout its history. The country quickly gained ground in the north and east of Africa, establishing its presence in the Mediterranean and even making its way to having sea trade with India and China. Overall it became a power so large that even the Roman Empire paled in comparison to it and eventually succumbed to it.
The more interesting thing about this Empire was its ruling family, the Keita Dynasty. Unlike other royal/imperial families, they didn't believe in blood purity and regularly brought in new blood and intelligent people into the dynasty. The Dynasty didn't have a main lineage, with only the most competent and qualified heirs taking the throne. This did cause a lot of issues for the Empire, resulting in many civil wars. Many of which brought it to the brink of collapse but overall it held strong. Because of the Mali Empire, many of the terrible things that would happen to Africa never happened, as many Kingdoms didn't want to poke the sleeping bear that single-handedly controlled the second-largest continent in the world.
The Mauli Empire reigned from 1 AD to 1862 AD, with it only 'collapsing' due to the, ruling Musa(emperor) willingly abdicating power to the World Government in return for extensive benefits for his lineage, including a permanent seat of the World Council for their family alone. The Mali Empire was a technological, economic, and industrial powerhouse for all of its existence. With only the Karlings in Europe being able to barely compete against them in the Mediterranean. The former capital of the Empire is still one of the most populous and stable places on the planet. The Keita Family today a hundred years later are still seen as the de facto rulers of Africa, with most of the African World council members willing to follow their lead in most matters. Their younger generations are treated similar to how the Kardashians or British Royal family were treated in his old world.

Africa, unlike in his timeline, is one of the best places to live on the planet for any race, especially black people. There is still a large population of Africans outside of the country, from what Kamara could find around 300 million, but it is very small in comparison to the population that stays in the homeland,- approximately 3 billion people. With a billion alone living in Mali and its surrounding areas.
Some other things interested Kamara about the Mali Empire and Africa in general but he pushed it aside to go to do his research about internet culture.
His search into the current internet culture proved fruitful and easy. He found that it wasn't much different from what he knew of. A bit less brutal and more protected than his last life but overall the same. Similar platforms to the ones in his old world existed making his transition to the internet a bit easier. In fact, he was happy to find out that the Internet is a universal service that was provided by the World Government. It was pretty good too, about 10 Mbps. But to get better Internet you have to buy an upgrade package from either the World Government or a private provider.
The next thing that Kamara looked up to was the technology level of the current world. Since one of his wishes was to have what basically equates to omnipotent knowledge of science, he wanted to make sure that when he started mankind stuff they were not too far out of what people could imagine. He still planned to push the limits regardless, but he wanted to know where everything stood.
After a few minutes of researching Kamara was able to get a good idea of what the level of technology in the world was currently at. From what he could understand humans were sixty years more advanced than they were in his last life, meaning that in the year 1962 they had technology equivalent to what his earth had in the year 2022.
Kamara was happy with this as it meant that he had a lot of room to work with in the future. He now knew that if he really wanted to he could push humanity past the current level into the level of a tier 1 civilization.
His happiness did not last long though, as as much as the happier about this world the sadder he felt about his last. It made him realize just how much human potential was wasted on his last planet and what could have been if just a few things changed, a few people lived longer or others died sooner.
Although this world wasn't perfect by any means, it still made his last earth seem like hell on earth. It made him wonder what the other Earths in different dimensions are like. Are they more similar to the Worse Earth or the Better Earth? Or are they so different that he could never even guess what they would be like?
Kamara pondered on his questions for a bit but ultimately chuckled at his thoughts and decided to stop worrying about things he would never know. He went back to his research and looked through a few more small topics that piqued his interest before he went back to his room to put his freshly cleaned bed sheets back on his bed.
With all his cleaning and research done, Kamara decided to look into just how deep the knowledge he received from the god went.
Needless to say that it went incredibly deep. Whenever he thought of a piece of technology, a list of detailed information would be given to him. It would have the name of the tech, its functions, its makeup, a schematic for it, how to make it, and even the price of the materials was listed. Even if he thought about things that haven't even been invented yet he would get the same information. For Kamara it was the same as having infinite knowledge, in a world like the one he's in it would make him virtually unstoppable if he wanted to be.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, that isn't what Kamara wants in life. His asking for this ability is just to make getting to his ultimate goal much easier. Kamara didn't want to be a Baron of Technology, or someone that dominates the whole planet, or even someone who is known for bringing humanity to new heights. No, Kamara didn't want any of that, Kamara only wants to achieve one of his half-life long goals. To start, own and participate in his own RP Server!

What is transcendence? There are those on countless planets who believe creation ended with them. The notion that they are God's chosen people, and nothing else existed beyond them became a firmly rooted ideal. An arrogant assertion you say? Well there you have it, ignorance is something mortals never have a lack of. This is not transcendence, to transcend is to explore the limits of existence, to constantly grow, and lay claim to all the universe has to offer. Transcendence is to not be constrained by ideals, or the planet of your birth, to transcend is to leave behind your Mortal shell, to challenge heaven's law, and formulate your own. Heaven would see mortals bowed in servitude until the end of their days, to reincarnate, and begin another lifetime of worship, giving praise to the gods. A young demon accidentally stepped through the gateway of endless possibilities, will he succumb to heaven's authority?
