《Guardians : Awakening of Athene》Chapter 22: Escape

Black clouds dominated the sky, with the ominous wind breezing through the atmosphere. All Kiva can sense is a huge dark evil aura from the north. Noticing the red lightning before, Kiva immediately knew it was King. They were friends since childhood, there were no secrets between them. Both being orphans, they were each others' family. Kiva understands the consequences of using that crimson thunder.
Kiva dissolves into purple particles transferring himself to King's location. Hoping he is not too late.
As the war hammer strikes down, almost about to come in contact. Purple particles appear, blocking the hammer and constructing itself into a human image.
King smiled and made a small laugh. "What took you so long?". His confidence voice returns as Kiva enters the scene.
"I made it, didn't I?" Kiva grin as a response. "Take Alice and hide. 10 seconds." He grins at the ogre.
King listened to his orders and carried the fallen Alice away from the scene.
Kiva blocking the gigantic war-hammer with his right hand as if the pressure was nothing.
The ogre roared into the skies. The clouds became darker as the storm enraged once again. All that can be heard was the sound of heavy rain and the disasters across the maze. The ogre rose his weapons, smashing it down at the pest in front of him.
Purple particles appear from his hands forming two crystal made longswords glowing in the purple light. As the weapons strike forward, Kiva dissolves into purple matters, evading the blade and hammer from the ogre. Purple particles reappeared, constructing itself into Kiva. With his human body, he spun with his two blades as the ogre's head flew out from his neck. - Dimensional Cut - he chanted.
He dissolves into purple matters once again forming himself in front of King. "Let's go" He swipes his hands as if he was cleaning it.
The ogre roared once again. Kiva turned head, with an unexpected expression on his face. He questioned. "Undead ogre?..." His body becomes purple particles reappearing with his two blades, cutting the ogre's body into four pieces. Noticing there isn't any blood he started to wander his mind. Having no answers until the ogre produced black lines retracting his body parts together.
Kiva immediately ran, dissolving Alice and King into purple particles as well, transferring them into another place.
Far to the north as they can, they reappear near a small forest of low ranked monsters. Kiva checks the injury of his two companions, pulling out small potions giving one out to King and another feeding it to Alice.
Kiva spoked as Alice wakes up, still wearing King's dark green jacket. Little by little she started to open her eyes, seeing the two guys in front of her.
"How are you doing, sleeping beauty?" Kiva's voice reaches out to the Alice that just woke up. She felt as if she has been sleeping for days, tired and restless as she moves her body. She notices her naked body being covered by a large jacket, her mind wanders aimlessly into what happened.

"She looks a lot different now" King relaxes as he drinks the red potion, sitting down nearby a small tree.
"What happened when I passed out...?" Alice questioned as she agitated her head.
"You don't remember anything?" Both of the males responded.
"All I remember was seeing Sarah and the ogre" Alice answered with a quiet voice.
Kiva waved his hand, reaching into his magical space and pulling out a male guardian's uniform and throws it to Alice. He then points to a nearby tree, as if he wants Alice to change.
Later on, Kiva told Alice the story about her transforming into a monster and King notify her that she almost killed him. Sarah and Hana are safe, while Eric and the others are still missing. They rest for a bit, then they explored around to see if there are any resources that would be valuable to them nearby. Not entering into the sight of those monsters as Alice and King haven't fully healed.
Kiva waves his hand, reaching into his dimensional space, grabbing a small backpack and toss it to King. "There is some food and water inside. We are setting up camp tonight." Kiva sighs looking into the dark sky.
"We haven't got much rest, since we entered, tomorrow morning, we are leaving," Kiva spoke in a serious tone.
"Leaving? What about the mission? We are giving up?" King argued.
"Yes, we are abandoning it. This place is too dangerous, even for me." Kiva replied.
"The dark magic that made the ogre undead, it's a forbidden magic. Those who learn and uses it will be cursed by the abyss. Consumed by its powers and eventually will become a demon himself." Kiva further explains.
"The Spiders." King's voice echoes into Alice and Kiva's mind.
Alice stunned, unable to speak nor move with the name. Images flashed into her head, recalling the guild telling her that Yukine was taken by The Spiders. She immediately jumped up, raising her voice.
"We aren't leaving. They have them, they have Yukine! Kiva we have to save her!" Her weak voice directed to Kiva.
"Sleep, we will talk about this in the morning." Kiva sat down laying his back onto a tree. Closing his eyes and falling into thoughts of unknown.
While King rests his eyes as well, only Alice still awake, staring into the skies.
Heavy dark clouds wandered in the skies, with pouring rain falling upon, there was nothing bright, nothing beautiful could be seen.
Kiva and King fell asleep, Alice closed her eyes. She chanted - Athena -
The white dimension appears, but there was nothing in sight, just the blank space of emptiness. "Athena, I need answers!" Alice shouted, but all she could hear was the echoes of her own voice.

She wandered herself through the white dimension, hoping for someone or something to appear. The white dimension shined in luminous lights, immersing itself as grass overwhelm her below. Clear blue sky with white clouds formed above her, as trees and lakes appear constructed itself with magic.
She stands in front of a small lodge, she walks towards it trying to open the wooden doors. As she comes to contact with her hands, she passes through it as if she was a spirit.
Inside the lodge, she sees a young man with two horns on his head and demonic scales that covers half his body. His shoulders wrapped in bandages as he rests on his bed. His white hair revealed his beautiful face as his eyes slowly awakes.
He lifts himself up as the door behind Alice opens. Entering a black Japanese woman, the man on the bed smiled.
The young woman passes through Alice and approaches the men. "You are awake" She smiles.
"You can call me Yukine" she continued to speak.
"Willson Telran" The man's cold voice replied.
The scenery disappears and fades into white space changing itself into another scenery. Instead of the grassland, Alice stands inside a cave with treasures that shined, lighting up the entire den. In front of her stands a couple men with weapons around. Dressed in black robes and with horns on their head, humanoid demons of all kind. The only differences in them are that Alice recognizes the leader, the same man from the lodge, except he does not look as young anymore. He holds a crimson ruby in his hands, staring at it as if it was a great treasure. His face grins as his eyes became absorb by the ruby. Mouthing out the words, "The Berserker Rune."
The scenery disappears once again, but this time, Alice wakes to reality. Only seeing Kiva carrying her while escaping from an army of ogres and goblins. "What is going on?" She questioned while grabbing Kiva's shoulders as if she was falling down.
"Running, we have to escape to the third floor. We can't turn back, we have to find a room for the last boss." Kiva spoke as he runs.
"Why can't you just transfer us there?" Alice's shouted as she catches an arrow flying to her.
"I need a location, I can't use transfer without a targeted destination," Kiva spoke as he sidesteps a goblin's knife.
"Would coordinates work?" She shouted as the goblins' laughter spread through the maze.
"If you have one, tell me" Kiva replied.
- Wisdom Eyes - Alice chanted with that idea in her mind. White data appears to her eyes, showing numbers of every target in sight.
- Command: Search: Entrance to the Third Floor - she spoke out loud.
A systematic cold female voice echoes into her head.
Alice spoke the coordinates out loud, making sure Kiva will hear it clearly.
"Alright, my lady and King. Let's go." - Transfer - Kiva chanted.
Their bodies turning into purple particles of matter escaping the chase from these monsters. Reappearing in front of broken doors, as if someone just went in.
They approach the gates, noticing small spiders all around. Rushing into the third floor, only to see dead monsters everywhere.
Passing through hundreds of green corpses, they finally reach another door. This time it wasn't broken down, instead, it was opened wide, as if it was inviting them to enter.
With hundreds of black little spiders consuming the green dead goblins and ogres, they prepared themselves for battle. Stepping through the stone made doors and entering into an open space with clear skies and white clouds as if it was the most peaceful area in the maze.
At the center, the green poison hair man was standing there, holding a blue gem. He notices the figures of Alice, King, and Kiva. Greeting them with a small laughing grin.
"Welcome, Guardians. Were you looking for this?" He reveals the blue stone.
"The Jewel of the Sea" King's voice reacted.
"Ahh, my King. Glad you aren't an idiot." He rose the Jewel above, channelling his magic into it.
The clouds forming into one, dropping down thunderstorms and causing the oceans to rise. The jewel rose itself into the skies, gathering the wind and water, forming one enormous giant of liquid.
The land corrupted as the violent wind breezed through the atmosphere. The seven-meter water giant standing with his two legs, he raises both of his arms as if he was calling upon something from the sky. Soon enough, the sound of water dripped, heavy rain poured down with thunder and lightning striking the land.
"Run!" Kiva shouted out loud. Grabbing the hands of his comrades, commanding his spell.
As purple matter immerses from their bodies, hundreds of little spiders crawl towards them, spitting out black threads trapping them into their webs. The magic stops. The spider threads surround Kiva, King and Alice, restricting them to leave.
The green haired man laughed. "Over hundreds of years, don't you think we have solutions for you divines?!"
The man dissolves into hundreds of black tiny spiders leaving the scene with this last words. "Come and find your master, Kiva."

Life as a Game, Cool
Soo… Hello? Why am I doing this? Ugh… Anyway, name’s Sethsamm, no last name. Why you ask? Well… it all started with me waking up and having this holographic RPG-like window in front of me. Sounds like one of the many mangas’ I read, funny. So I got this window, then it explains that my life is now a video game. And then shit hits the hay… Starts up a bit slow, also a bit of wish fulfillment. Of course, there will be plot since I have a dislike for stories without plot, conflict, or even MC struggles. I'm Always Talking to Myself
My name is Zach. I’m a typical bland featureless protagonist type. The kind of guy who has purposefully few defining characteristics so that people can project whatever they want on me. Like Luke from Star Wars or what’s her name from Twilight. Most main characters are like me. Kind of flavorless blank slates because we all secretly doubt that we’re Harrison Ford, but pretty much anyone could be Mitt Romney. Yep. Yes indeed, I do spend basically my entire life running an internal dialog to no one. Usually I’m imagining that there are people listening. Like maybe philosophers from Ancient Greece, or researchers from another planet who act suspiciously like the characters from that Instagram comic with the aliens. Stupid Instagram comedians stealing my internal monologue and turning into a wildly successful enterprise which I would imagine has a vibrant merch dropshipping arm and hundreds of thousands of daily dopamine hits for loyal followers. I basically spend all of my time explaining random things to imaginary people (and aliens, and animals, and household items which have inexplicably gained sentience and frankly have some concerns about this whole existence thing). Honestly, it’s both highly entertaining to me, in that it makes me think about why we humans do all of the bizarre things that we do, but also horrifically exhausting and kind of makes you feel like you’re either, worst cast, losing your grip on reality, or best case, becoming Abed from Community. Anyway, I’m sure that I have some distinguishing characteristics, but, in the interest of hypnotic suggestion I’m choosing to omit them until I’m pretty sure that you have subconsciously come to identify with me, or until I feel like it. (By the way, in case I forgot to mention it, a higher power called Aww Thor or something told me to say that this is a slice-of-life comedy adventure and that it's set in a fantasy world with isekai and LitRPG elements.)

I, Mor-eldal: The Necromancer Thief
As a budding little necromancer, I soon discovered that the world of city people is complicated. When my master kicked me out of the cave, he warned me not to talk about my “dark” magic, because people here don't like the undead. I am not really an undead, I just have a skeleton hand, but it is better to be careful. Anyway, that's not my biggest worry. In the Black Dagger brotherhood, I learn a lot of things, such as illusionist magic, which turns out to be quite handy to survive in this maze of streets: in the Cat Quarter, we have thugs of all kinds that are best avoided. But we also have good people, goodhearted “gwaks”, as we say around here. Little did I know that I would soon be caught up in an infamous traffic that would entangle my life even more. With a mix of lighthearted adventure and picaresque, this story narrates the hectic life of a good-spirited street child and his companions in a medieval urban fantasy setting with some nineteenth-century influences. Updates Mondays and Fridays. This is a Creative Commons By work. It is a translation of a trilogy I wrote in Spanish between 2017 and 2018.
