《Guardians : Awakening of Athene》Chapter 12: Dance of Athena

Kiva reaches an old building, the building looked as if lasted generations after generations. He enters the small forge shop as he places Alice down on a wooden chair.
"We aren't doing any more business today" an old voice shouted, as he hammers his blade.
"Old man, I brought someone. I thought you might be interested." The old man turns his head, he laughs and dropped his tools.
"Boy, you didn't die!" The old man laughs even more, "Let me look at you! It's been a year!"
"It has been missions and missions, I won't be staying too long." Kiva directs her attention to Alice, point she's the main character today.
"Alice, Alice Sato. It's nice to meet you," She bends her head down as she introduces herself.
"Sa...Sato..? Is Yukie, your mother..?" The old stubbles as he approaches Alice.
"Yes... How do you know my mother." Alice surprised reaction showed on her face.
"Come with me" The old man closes the doors and locks it. He then knocks on his wall, a panel the size of a table turned over. He punches his passcode in, as the entrance to his basement opens.
They both followed him down. Inside it was a large laboratory with equipment and weapons hanging on the walls.
Alice's face showed a mindblown expression, being there the first time and haven't understood much of the human society, she was amazed by human technology.
They reached the end of the lab, there was one weapon that is levitating on a small platform protected by a glass case. "This is my greatest creation. A memorial to your mother." His eyes fell down to the floor.
"You see, your mother was a guardian. 20 years ago, she left for Verona, but never returned." The old man sighed. We were told she died, and after years of searching, there were no sights of her.

"So you knew I was her daughter when you first saw me?" Alice gazed at Kiva.
Kiva nodded his head as he approaches the glass case, he places his hand on it as if he was breaking a barrier. The protection disappears allowing the spear to be touched.
"How do you know?" Alice questioned again.
"You are an exact image of your mother. Japanese, silver hair, and that victorious gold eye that shined upon war. I will never forget it." Kiva grabs the spear and throws it to Alice.
With her hands holding the spear. She wanders through her mind. "Yukie had...Silver hair and a golden eye..." Her vision fades out as she enters Athene's dimension.
The tall majestic queen stands in front of her. Holding and playing with the spear that Alice was holding. "Your mother passed me to you. She gave my powers to her daughter instead. The eternity life and the divine strengths of wisdom." Her voice echoes through the white blank space.
"Watch and learn, its time for a level up." Her voice wakes Alice from her thoughts. The spear in her hand transforms with feathers of crystal white. Angel white feathers surrounded her body as her blue dress changes into a black Japanese yukata fitted for war.
A feather-made headpiece with small wings on fitted on her head. Her golden obsidian halberd in her right hand shined with the engravements of dragons. She walks forward with her black leggings attach to her black metal boots. Two flags with the symbol of Athene's wings appeared on her back, making a cross, the shape of X.
She lunges her spear forward and dances with her angel white feathers. Her movement enchanted the time, making it slow. Feathers surrounding her and flying through the air as if it was gliding with her body. She reaches her left hand to her back grabbing one of the flags and throwing it north. As it lands, she throws the other one to the south. The flags created a with an unbreakable link with each other, striking a blue light into the sky. Transforming into thousands of blades launching down.

"Dance of Athene, Version Yukine." Her voice echoes the blank space.
Alice's vision changed, her conscious returned to the laboratory.
"Yukine is not dead, she's alive. The Spiders have her." Alice's determined eyes stared into Kiva's.
She falls on her right knee, supporting herself with the spear. As her eyes directed to the floor.
"Please, help me." Her determined eyes stared into Kiva's once again.
"Like mother, like daughter." Kiva's soft voice reaches Alice as a single drop of tear falls with Yukine's name. He smiled gently as he reaches his hand towards Alice.
"Let's save her together." His soft voice enchanted Alice as if she fell in love.

A Sinner's Eden
The Earth of the future is united under a single government, but not all things are well. The shape of the playing field may be changed, but the powerful still rule the weak. And those who do not conform with the rest of society are exiled to another world. A world that not even the technology of the future managed to tame.It should have been humanity's New World but ended up as nothing more than a penal colony. A place where the exiled are sent to die. Motivated by revenge, Magnus sets out on a quest to bring his own justice to his enemies. For that purpose, he is willing to go further than most others. But then he learns that if he truly wishes to change things, he can only find his answers beyond the gate. Having lived most of her life as an exile, Astra is a woman of few interests aside from survival and climbing the ranks of her clan.To achieve those goals, she certainly won't be squeamish when a chance literally falls into her lap, or will she? ——————————————————————————————— I am trying to go with a survival/medieval setting in this one. People from a technologically advanced society are thrown into a world where they can't maintain their tech. They are forced to rely on medieval technology where they have to make do with the limited resources they have and what little of their old technology is still working. Their gene manipulation allows them to have something akin to superpowers, but that doesn't help much against the monsters of their new world. Not sure yet whether sufficiently advanced technology will be discovered later on to count as magic. ——————————————————————————————— Author's Comment: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently, I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. (http://armaell-library.net/author/andur)
