《Straw Masked and Pepsi stands》From shadow to light, where the stars shine and the Gods are enthroned

What is a friend? What is logic? Why am I laughing? Why am I crying? Why I am living? Why am I dying? So many questions to which I have no answers. Why did I just ask myself? I who have lived from the beginning of the beginning only in this dark impious hole similar to nightmares that even the imagination could not conceive. Where even the most treacherous darkness cannot reach. A gaping hole in logic, something in which I was born once for some reason and which until then was my only residence. Who made me appear here? Why ? How? Or what ? When? ... Why ? I was torn between various emotions, whether it was escaping or just meeting my demiurge. Or my executioner, who knows if my existence has been unbearable or soothing to me, since I do not feel any need to express myself on this subject.
The only thing I was aware of was the existence of better land. Places that I would have desperately wished to visit, even if, having no proof of the existence of such things, my hopes were only lower. I was decked out in a sort of black sleeveless vest. A veil covered the entire left part of my face, like a sneaky copy ninja. The right part of my head let out some disheveled hair, going into spikes. I was bored, no one to talk to, no one aware of my existence. Simple and pure solitude. A solitude like one could not conceive better. I don't even know how I knew the meaning of that word or how I expressed some regret about things that I never experienced, but it did. Everything was independent to me, I cannot explain how, but coupled with this unhinged loneliness was added the independence of everything. I was alone. Terribly alone. My black hole of meaning and color was nothing. There was nothing in it. I have tirelessly sailed here and there, like an astronaut lost in the vacuum of space after missing his module. In an inexplicable way, I subsisted. Somehow, but I survived.
I acquired my current knowledge I don't know how, and it helped me a lot. To do what ? I do not know. This is a lot of misunderstanding. But coming from a void beyond voids where nothing would fit into any logic, I think that speaking of incomprehension is somewhat ... outdated. So I said I had wandered for times which would have seemed horribly long if this place had time, space or existence. The idea of the world around me, I was partially aware of it, until something came to me. Something that I would have called divine seeing as mystical if the aura that emanated from it was not that of a monster instilling fear by its mere existence. But surprisingly, despite this horrifying presence, I found there as a comfort, a certain form of hope. A hope that this thing like me will pull me out of this nameless quagmire and take me with it. As if by chance, at the moment when I thought of this, a dark voice doubled with a pronounced echo was heard in the whole of the place which was then my sad place of life.
I bring death and eternal rest to those who are immortal.
These words pierced me deeply, I was now as convinced that a salvation could exist. The entity was emitting such an abundance of murderous aura, but it looked ridiculous compared to the eventualities of liberation that I envisioned. Finally, I could have the possibility to leave this field that was usually so familiar.

I bring nothing. I do not bless anything. I'm not saving anything. I just erase. Completely. O thou, little fallen being of the shallows among the shallows, lift up your head and lift up your spine. Your value is all the greater as your thirst for knowledge and learning is to be filled.
His voice sounded like a bell that would bring me serenity. Strangely, this being with a skeletal face and a proud hat seems more familiar to me than this tasteless void I have lived in all this time. Even more familiar, for a reason once again unknown. Or was it rather the masked man who saw himself in me? No one knows, at least not me. After a few words, a bright light appeared to me. A light. I had never experienced this before, it was very pretty. This light seemed to indicate something to me. Watching the being come to me, I understanding that this was my chance. Without hesitation, I instantly grasped the glowing orb, and as though gorged with the power of infinite nothingness, I felt the power surge into me. Now evolved, I was able to absorb and make succumb this empty space which was suffocating me until then. I arrive at this moment in a calm, serene dimension, completely different from what I had always known. A gleam of revived in my eyes, a glimmer of happiness. Under the tutelage of a mysterious Masked Man, I was finally able to free myself from the void that oppressed me.
The dimension was of a soothing twilight blue, an infinite shimmering surface covered with a thin layer of pure water served as the ground for this most beautiful place. Infinite stars also dotted what appeared to be a sky. Everything. Everything in that space was beautiful, and to challenge that would be to be even more illogical than the illogical itself. Or just being jaded and cranky. So I walked through this unexpected Eden, from top to bottom, and still with as much admiration despite the fact that the landscape remained more or less the same no matter where. After a while, I saw a door left there for the opportunists. It would seem very strange to the most rational eyes, but it seemed normal to me. Hurrying, I reached this door leading into the void and opened it. Behind was a hidden room, in the center of which sat a rock pedestal. On that same pedestal levitated a crystalline sphere glowing with an aura just as calming as the expanse that allowed me to find it. As I approached, I noticed something. The closer I got, the more the orb reacted. It was then that I had like an epiphany.
Something freed inside me. I then obtained all the knowledge in the world, passing my knowledge before as something ridiculous. It was what it was anyway. My energy glowed as bright as this mystical orb. My powers were growing inexorably, but as I fell into ecstasies over it all, I heard a violent explosion. Leaving the sacred room, I saw a frightful spectacle. The dimension, usually so blue and heartwarming, had turned into a sea of fire. A veritable deluge of violence that I had never witnessed but which, strangely, did not surprise me. Instinctively putting myself in a defensive position, the likely instigator of this chaos was approaching in spurts. The landscape distorted as he approached, like a mirage. Seeing him, I felt a terrible danger. But paradoxically, I was excited to discover new things over and over again despite the situation. I felt a certain fear when I became aware of the entity that was rushing on me, but the one that my mentor instilled was all the greater. This thing was ultimately unimpressive in comparison.

However, the thing disappeared. Surprised, I swept my gaze around but didn't see it, until I felt a sharp heat behind me. The rascal had moved up behind my back by some supernatural means, the first teleportation I witnessed. Although at the moment I was disarmed, my instincts took charge and I turned quickly before throwing a fist at the sky. It was then to my surprise, another fist than mine smashed the beast in an ascending column of fire and detonated it. I did not immediately understand what had just made me win, and as I turned around, I saw a levitating blue and white humanoid devoid of any facies. He looked at me, as if awaiting orders. I was fascinated by this strange creature almost similar to me that had just appeared. I was wondering what he was, when suddenly he landed on the ground and came up to me. At first surprised, I saw his hand extended solemnly towards me. I then thought as I squeezed his hand that he was responding to my orders by the mind, since what he had just done was in every way what I had just thought of. After several tests, I found that it did indeed respond to every thought I had. I had presumably generated a power where my mind had taken the form of an overpowered humanoid with obvious gifts.
Returning then in the mystical room with the sphere, I saw while opening the door that the place on which it looked had changed. From this hall of ancient times appeared wild lands under a clear sky without being fully sunny. On entering, the door closed sharply and disappeared, like the beast before. Decidedly, everything seemed to want to disappear. I then spent my time visiting these wild places. As if decked out on a mission, I dragged my Pepsi stand with ardor. Pepsi stand is the name I gave to this humanoid that came out of my being. A deep voice had whispered in my mind that what I had manifested was a stand and that by mistake of delivery, he had only been able to get Pepsi instead of Coca. To be honest, I'm not sure I quite understood what that voice meant to me. But the sender of this message, a man named Tony, seemed to be quite confident and knowledgeable about my abilities. Perhaps he was in cahoots with my benefactor. I don't know where I know this expression from, but it is apparently said that great minds meet each others.
Anyway, I continued to survey these lands that I affectionately called the Wilds Lands. A nice name I thought. I often ran into ferocious beasts, but none of them stood tall in front of my Pepsi stand. From a series of simple fists, he had developed new skills, such as mastering lightning, soul or even energy. Every attack had a side effect, and I obviously had fun giving them a little name. It was probably ridiculous, but I liked it. After a while, I saw my Pepsi stand sparkling with a thousand lights, as if about to evolve. Then came a request directly from him, something that had never happened before as he was only responding to my wishes. He asked me to give him a name. Obviously, the mere classification of Pepsi stand did not suit him, and he wanted a real personal nomination. Based on his mind-blowing fist combos, I gave him the name Pepsi Shooter. At this mention, Pepsi Shooter brandishes his right fist in the air, with a surprisingly solanelle aura. He then began to evolve and from a basic form acquired a malabar form, much more bodybuilt. Instantly, I thought of a new name. This form, which I knew to be temporary for a reason that escaped me, would be called Pepsi Modira. All the panel of attacks of Pepsi Shooter, Pepsi Modira had it in more powerful and with more virulent effects. But the speed seemed slower.
I wondered why Pepsi Shooter had changed, it was surely a side effect of all these fights. When suddenly I got a message in my mind, a warning message coming straight from Pepsi Shooter before it became Pepsi Modira.

At this time, I did not understand all the information I had just received, but it was when the earth started to shake that I finally thought I understood. Quickly taking cover, a gigantic monster appeared from the woods. A huge colossal wyvern, armored and adorned with muscular wings and a tail terminated with a metallic dart shimmering with a poisonous purple glow. Would Pepsi Shooter have predicted the future? Indeed, the Rathagross had skidded on landing for nearly 50 meters. No sooner did he see me than he launched hostilities by spitting a breath of titanic fire on the surface indicated by Pepsi Shooter, than I was able to narrowly dodge thanks to a Pepsi Modira ability consisting of the drastic increase of my power and speed. As expected, I dodged a series of about 120 potentially fatal sting shots, after which the creature soared heavily into the sky before charging a cluster of fire with its gaping jaw. Pepsi Shooter had definitely predicted the future of 10 minutes. As agreed, I had to use an ability called Carbonate Destruction in order to kill this monster. Before he finalized his charge and pulverized all around, I jumped after boosting my stats again and hit the Rathagross chest with all my might. His body and soul therefore evaporated and the forest was saved despite some collateral damage.
As a result, Pepsi Modira became Pepsi Shooter again. As for the Rathagross, an object sat in the center of what should have been its crater if it had ever fallen straight. As I picked it up, I felt my power increase even more. It was a sphere oddly similar to that of the mystical hall of the blue dimension, and like the latter, it vanished after its power was transferred to me. My adventures had barely started when I already had a great strength within me. They were only just beginning.

The Ancient Tree's Journey
On a planet far away from Earth, an ancient tree lives inside a beautiful forest. When the tree realises that its life is coming to an end, it creates a seed without a soul. The seed begins a long journey, being passed from person to person, until it finally collides with the soul of a girl from Earth and sprouts. With her human knowledge, the girl tries to survive in this world... as a tree. Note: This is my first time writing a novel, so my writing style might be a little rough around the edges sometimes, especially the first twelve are still amateur style. I'll probably rewrite them at some point... later perhaps. Also, the MC will be introduced in chapter 13. The first twelve chapters are more of an introduction to the world, so they bear little significance to the main story. Still, I recommend reading it if you want to get a better view of the world. Chapter releases once every four days.

Apollyon's Curse
Within the pages of folklore and fantasy, tales of people who chase after the dream of eternity, of living forever, rarely find a happy ending. They are either struck by the grim truth of reality, give up, and return to mortality or face a ghastly realization of their wishes. The latter often the worse fate, as they come to realize, only far too late, that what they sacrificed was worth far more than the time they gained. Ultimately, the common thread in these stories is that “immortality is as much a curse as it is a blessing”. People either realize it early and give up or are doomed to inevitably face its consequences. In the world Enrich lives in, that saying does hold merit. Every pathway towards eternal life has shackles of its own. They bring those high above down to the ground, evening the playing field. It is thanks to these fundamental laws that ambitious mortals are able to defy the heavens and achieve immortality themselves. The variety of methods result in each of these bindings varying in intensity and degree of freedom. Enrich’s path doesn't break this trend. Though, after what he did to himself, most wouldn’t even consider him a living thing anymore. On the day of his ascension, a world’s worth of souls were melted and recast. On that day, the human’s path had reached its conclusion, recast into Apollyon. An artifact, a weapon, is eternal, after all. As for the curse? The payment will be made, as it must. So why not offload the curse to someone else? Mortals throw their lives away for all manner of petty reasons, noble or otherwise, especially in desperation. Eventually, someone will be willing to foot the bill. Most will if given the chance. The bait is far too tempting, after all. Power, status, knowledge. All at their fingertips. If only they say “yes”. And Apollyon is very willing to help any lost souls. If they give up everything in return, of course.
