《ELYSIA EROICA》Chapter VIII: Catastrophe Part 2/2

The dragon took its form once more, as it yelled angrily releasing blazing flames into the sky.
The hound monster was massive in height and was the father I had once admired for his flawless skills in the sword. Howled his pain and anger at the dragon releasing their fangs to its sight claiming the territory that in nature belonged to the ancient dragon.
“Defy my authority! That’ll only ensure your death!”
The dragon declared his rightful land, putting down the wolf that defied its existence gripping tightly into its neck.
Their battle intensified, shattering the land around with lightning storming every corner as the dragon activated its abilities entirely into the land. The hound would dodge, avoiding the shock that would emit into his flesh if the lightning were to touch his body.
The children all ran away, as mother stayed behind with my sister in her arms and Reya cast a barrier that shielded us from the magic that surrounded the land. Their battle had gone for a long while, and each second that passed through it just worsened.
Each stabbing one another with the large each of them possessed. Their claws stained themselves with each other's blood, as each let out cries of pain that lasted only for a short amount of time.
"Elysia!"
"I know, we need to move away from these parts! It is too dangerous to stay any further with the hound and dragon this active against each other!"
We moved away hoping to make an escape from the bizarre battle they commenced but the dragon did not permit us to exit with its lightning did not allow us the path of liberty.
It plummeted the hound to the ground biting its neck and stretching it out gushing its inner blood and revealing its large bones from inside. The hound died, as the dragon spread its wings in victory looking down on us as it walked its way deforming itself into the human state.

His pace rushed to our grounds as it grabbed me by the collar, glaring into my eyes and sniffing my scent as a wicked look formed its disgusting face.
"Such extraordinary quantity of magic, you will suffice as my feast for the time being."
Reya struck her blade into the dragon's hand who caught it without remorse. He shattered it completely, as wings elevated his back and his eyes turned dark turning in her direction.
The magic started to evoke into his mouth, as a burst of fire emerged heading in her direction. She dodged away, but he remained the same, heading in her direction attempting to hunt her down for defying his intentions.
I interrupted him, kicking his groan, freeing me from his clutches as Reya caught me from the air above and defended me from the flames that fell around us.
The earth vibrated, not because of the dragon as a vast amount of magic started to deplete itself from my body. The dragon took notice and glared at the sky as someone had interrupted our battle shifting his attention to the nothingness that filled the area.
"Bastard! You better not let your magic deplete to such high energies!"
He formed himself once more like a dragon flying in my direction, as a ray of light formed in the center of the land covered by the dragons' barrier. The light pierced down below the ground as it slowly spread, crushing the land and shattering homes and buildings as it spread violently. Many were caught in the light, with nothing to show what had happened to them, but the obvious would be their deaths.
The dragon was pierced by a holy cross, burning it to ashes before the light made its path in our direction. It was unavoidable as we were then caught in the light as Reya made her way to mother and my sister.
I was left behind even if we were close in proximity. The next thing was not death but I succumbed to sleep as the sounds of destruction filled my ears.

Currant Choir
Having passed out while performing a ritual due to excessive exsanguination, Leon, the youthful son of the esteemed Lumenhart family finds himself back in the world of the living:Laying in a pool of his own blood.Self-inflicted wounds mysteriously gone. And with his head full of memories that aren't exactly his... or are they? "Oh boy." Warning! - There is likely not enough tags I can put up for this novel so please take this frontal warning instead. I can promise you a great deal of horror, gore, chaos and pure edge, but also everything on the opposite site of the spectrum from side characters. To be blunt, the MC is not a good person, so unless you're interested in such a thing, I'd strongly advise you to not read Currant Choir.

The Polyglot's Rune
Fear. Regret. Memories. They all flashed before my eyes as my life began to fade away. I felt a darkness encroach upon my heart followed by a sinister foreboding. Within that moment I was asked a single question by a powerful, mystical being. “Brave being, do you wish to accomplish a great deed in your life?” “No,” I refused, but the voice did not listen. It summoned me to its world only to try to have me slaughtered. But then, I was saved by him, the princess who disguised herself as a man. He was hellbent on revenge, and he was determined to drag me down with him. This story is meant to be a bit of a mix of genres and cultures, so there are some elements that may seem xianxia like, but it's not exactly the same so I didn't tag it. It also has multiple lead characters but is written in first person. Schedule: Dropped Normal Chapter Length: approximately 3000 words Warning: Tagged [15+] for Strong Language and Violence (Gore and Profanity aren't very prevalent, but I added the warning tags just in case).
