《ELYSIA EROICA》Ch. V - Rampage

A soft hand, one that I at the very beginning used to have. This soft texture came from a baby, a girl who had just stopped crying from the hard work put up by mother.
This was my younger sister who will grow up alongside me in an adventure that may last decades.
She was handed down to mother by Reya, much like myself when I had reached out of the hold when it was my turn to exit and live on. The same scenario, as if I was seeing a recast as to how my birth came.
"Naria."
The name given to the small girl lit a smile of acceptance rapidly after hearing it without mother continuing her sentence.
Father stepped in right after in his guard uniform, with his silver sword from duty hanging directly onto his left waist. He panted his way through and reunited with mother and hugged the little girl they came to give life on. My little sister.
Still, I couldn't come to be happy in the slightest. I should be, but I could only force a smile rather than feel it rushing through my very veins.
"Naria, I am your papa." Father spoke immaturely to the infant who wouldn't understand him.
Things were now changing, I could feel it. Something was going on and the odd feeling approached faster than I could imagine.
A severe headache started to inflict itself on me, and my vision became dizzy all of a sudden despite the regular circumstances that stood in front of me. Father rushed to me as my body hazed off and began to lose its balance as nothing resembling chemicals or magic roamed the room.
"Elysia? Are you okay?" He asked worryingly as my gaze departed and my hand lost its motion.
I went rampant to sleep as the echoes of their voices illuminated my whereabouts as my focus dispersed and my consciousness disappeared for the moment.
~Philip POV~
Everything was going as normal, but this sort of dramatic change was too much to witness.
"Lord Philip, there is a large group of people standing outside of our premises. They may be the cause for the change dealt upon the young master." Reya confirmed.
I knew of these sorts of events unfolding from stories but never imagined that an actual experience would find itself in my long life. My own son, Elysia, is to be the target of the church.
Panic was the state of both Sonia and me, and more so unhealthy for my wife to deal with at this current moment. There was nothing we could do at this point, all available options of escape were blocked as if they laid their eyes in secret for a long time.
I could only see the whole scenario coming from the outside through a small open hole that hid as a minor window of sorts. The old fool stood in the very center, the one who once tried to inflict harm on my own parents due to the entire lineage we'd come from.
"Damn it, this is going to be a hard one to pull. All that we can possibly do now is teleport to another location, but that level of spell will take time to form and cast." I mentioned our only option to Reya and my wife.
Suddenly smoke exhilarated from the ground considering we remained upstairs from the whole ordeal that was being dealt upon this household. The house was now scorching in the flames caused by the church and the villagers that followed the insanity of the old man. Our family was now doomed right after the birth of our very daughter.

"Come out, you fiend!" The priest blurted, screaming for the thing he calls my son.
"Let the church deal with your malevolent ways before you perish for good. We may forgive your existence and offer a special place in the heavens above!"
Time at this point was limited and vague.
"Agh!"
A scream of panic came from outside, from a woman. It was not intentional as one would imagine and the distance it came from the group outside was far.
Clanging noises began to appear alongside the hungry growls of beasts and monsters who were in search of a feast with each howl and attack they unleashed from their available fangs and weapons.
Reya went over to another room to check out the sudden commotion and witnessed a horde of vicious monsters heading into the village attacking first the people that stood outside. Goblins, Skeletons, Hounds, Slimes, Orcs, and much more are headed in the direction of the low-lit village.
The priest vanished without a trace much with the survivors of the first attack that came unveiled by these ferocious creatures. Even then, the monsters will come to still attack the village that lies nearby with innocents and the not-so-innocent civilians.
"Reya, take Sonia and the kids away from this village and house while the monsters are attacking. Take my horses and wagon and head into the imperial capital. I will make sure to live these events and make my way further into the capital."
I made an order not accepting any sorts of objections even with the current circumstances. I headed downstairs as the slow-developed flames rampaged out home to smithereens. I went to a large chest and removed my special longsword before heading out into the danger that await outside.
Hurried into the chaos, I saw Reya and the others take their leave from the house safely without being spotted by the monsters who were following my tracks. I couldn't help but worry if Elysia would be safe, considering the spell cast upon him by the imbecile of a priest.
I swung my blade, parrying attacks from skeletons and releasing my attacks with a strong force that left deeper impacts on their bones than I have ever done. Hounds noticed my activity and grew bigger in size before heading in my direction as I neared closer to the village area seeing the goblins and orcs approach faster than my human legs.
A large bite took hold of my left leg, and the beast's fangs visibly showed themselves in my eyes as I lifted my sword to pierce through them even if it were futile.
The hound below me left out a cry for help bringing forth even more hounds stronger and bigger in size in wherein comparison it would make it a baby. Blood soaked my pants from the bite that engraved itself.
Pain surged through, with the heat elevating itself and making me nauseous. My eyes dwindled insight as the sweat poured intensely from the ongoing pain as the hounds made their run and my body selflessly reacted in defense.
My blade hit their faces as if avoiding piercing through their rough developed flesh. Demons, they were stronger than regular hounds found in the wilderness around us. Yet there should be no way for them to lay dormant in these parts of land considering they were less common in these locations.
A minor bite on my arms made me weaker in reflection of their growing power against me. Helplessly I remained to pick up the pace of my sword and body as even more monsters took their arrival to harm my weakened form.

Memories of my family overtook my mind, only signifying my coming death, with the relief that my family would be safe and away from any harm dealt by these fiends or the priest.
Losing balance I fell to the ground as the hounds took their jump on me and feasted on my weak stated body as a glimpse of a wagon leaped in the air with four bodies in it. My eyes widened as their image became clearer Reya, Naira, Elysia, Sonia.
"Damn it!"
I forced my body up releasing my mortal flesh from the hounds that took me as their prey. I approached my sword with the dripping blood overflowing into the ground as my left arm disappeared from my body much as my left eye.
Jumping and swinging around I stood, marking up my skills back into my mind and releasing my anger toward the hounds that circled me awaiting my comeback. My teeth released themselves to sight as blood engulfed them as I rushed my attacks and sliced through their bodies leaving behind chunks of their bodies as I now made my way to the village in where the wagon had been sent flying.
"Hold on?"
Realization kicked in at the last moment, they were sent flying in the air which in normal cases would never be normal no matter one's level of magic.
I turned around as the sight of a monster laid upon my eyes as they came digging their way out from underground. I rushed to my family to escape immediately before the beast unleashed its claws from the underground to the surface.
~Elysia POV~
The foul smell of ashes scratched my nose as the heavy pile of wood lay upon my body from the ground of dirt below.
I opened my eyes, expecting to see my family back home awakening from a headache or some kind of instant illness. Yet the scene that unfolded before my very eyes was gruesome and tormenting.
Men were killed horribly by goblins that inflicted multiple stabs into their mortal bodies without stopping for even ten seconds until they moved on to their next subject. Orcs gather females in a circle as a set of goblins undressed and abused their bodies as more goblins came to light from their quick reproduction.
Children were killed or forced under their authority and some who were more in their teenage years had the same outcome as the adults. Sexual abuse or straight-out death depending on their gender.
"Young Master!" Reya yelled rushing to my rescue before I received a stab from a goblins small knife.
We were well hidden, in a small building where many women and children were staying including mother and my newborn sister. Today was meant to be a special and important day, but all of it came to ruins by the appearance of multiple monsters.
"Where's father?" I asked seeing him nowhere in the vicinity.
"We were making our escape after many of the other villagers came to storm our home. Then the monsters appeared and an unforeseen one sent us flying further into the village rather than away from it."
Things became clearer with the newfound information. The priest and several of the people came to execute me as they find me a demon rather than one of them. Monsters started appearing out of nowhere causing havoc in the village and now many were forced to hide in this cramped small place.
I took a glimpse and found many of the women and children around were those that had nothing against me compared to the others. And only a few minima of them did have things against me but were now a small fraction compared to the time before.
"Are you okay, mother?" I asked desperate to calm myself.
"I'm fine, just worried over your father."
Father was out there fighting the beasts that currently roamed these parts of the Aursua Kingdom. He alone was a great fighter to handle several of the monsters, but the number of monsters that were to accumulate can also lead to his downfall than final victory.
"Is there nothing we can do to help him?" I asked the obvious knowing the challenges and difficulties that come from fighting high-level monsters.
I was an experienced player, the knowledge of these sorts of creatures roamed in my mind while others were still brand new to me. Goblins and orcs would kill men to feast and leave women alive to reproduce as there are no female goblins, to later dispose of them after there is no longer any use.
With that age doesn't even matter to them, as long as you are capable of reproducing or not they'd save the young for later and use the fresh and virgin ones for reproduction.
"Agh!"
The screams of men stabbed and brutally wounded echoed every passing second as their battle remained and kept us all safe and afraid. Blood would spill inside these walls every while as many of them would die off atop of this location giving no sense of hint to them.
The night was long, and not even half an hour would pass by instantly compared to when we fall asleep or have so much to do in activities. The growls of hounds and wolves would pass by each time and the steps of the goblins and orcs would remain as their search continues and their feast of the corpses would begin.
Skeletons stood as patrol for them as they roamed around without a need of food considering their undead bodies which still seek flesh. The violent moans of women would sound loudly above us striking fear in most of the girls and women that laid down here in the refuge.
"Hyah! Ha!"
A familiar battle cry resonated in my ears as the presence of a different individual revealed itself fighting against the monsters that scavenged the village. Fire would continue to spread even more now that the goblins had taken hold of their torches as weapons.
The sound of colliding metal would spread into this room giving hope to the fallen and a sense of warmth to mother and Reya.
Cries released from the goblins merged at once, followed by the loud thuds of falling orcs that came after with a strong and fierce course of action.
"Sonia!"
His scream for my mother reached our ears, but we remained silent as the unknown of a nearby monster remained and the risk was still high on the possibilities of instant death.
But it just didn't stop them, the women all started leaving, without a care for the children either their own or not as Reya stayed behind with me and the others. As mother also followed behind seeing as almost everyone had left these guarded walls.
Death was instant.
Not even ten seconds outside of this building and half of the women that had left out were chopped in half creating a pool of blood that dripped itself downstairs. Mother stood vigilant in the entrance as the other women were already outside seeing the beast that had killed half of them already.
They followed right after with even more blood soaking down on mothers clothes as fear struck her and the door closed shut automatically.
The screams of father vanished without any trace and the beast roamed around the building knowing well where we were being hidden.
"Mother?" I touched her shaky hand as her skin went pale and tears overflowed her eyes.
"That was,"
A loud howl screamed above the building as the monster had taken foot up there, it also started bumping around and hitting the walls to tumble everything down.
"What's wrong mother?" I asked awaiting a quick answer.
"THAT WAS YOUR FATHER!"
Silence came upon all of us seeing what had become of Philip Straga, my very own father.

Return of Chaos
For the longest time, it was thought that the citizens of Earth were the only denizens of the galaxy incapable of developing superhuman abilities — but recent events have flipped that assumption on its head. Between Austin Travis, Mote Emerson, Pierce Bradley, and their friends, Earth is now host to 12 Chaotics… as well as a myriad of mysteries surrounding them. From a new nemesis in the form of a clone, to connections to ancient technology from a long-lost civilization, to the ability to summon powerful legendary weapons, these 12 Chaotics have unknowingly become entangled in something larger than any of them have ever imagined. As if in response to these discoveries, the sinister machinations of galactic evil are churning. The metallic infection, a calamitous nanotechnology “disease” thought to have been vanquished 20 years ago, is slowly returning — and alongside it, a number of conflicts thought to be long past. While they only seek to better grasp their own abilities, Earth’s Chaotics will soon find themselves in the crossfire of returning threats and old heroes. These superpowered Earthians may not have chosen this path through life, but it will still be up to them to determine if history remembers them — to determine if history remembers the saga of the Keys. Return of Chaos is a direct sequel to Chosen Chaos, which begins the Key Saga novel series. Be sure to read Chosen Chaos first, to understand the plot and the characters thus far! Additionally, the Key Saga as a whole takes place 20 years after Rise. You will not need to read Rise to understand the events of Return of Chaos, however the latter will spoil many of the events that occurred in Rise, due to the simple chronology of taking place later in the timeline.
