《ELYSIA EROICA》Ch. I - Small Progress

A tranquil life, thus far I have come to experience in the infancy period of my early life. In all due honesty, this was all pretty boring.
With all respect to my parents, only gratitude to them in giving me birth reprises itself in me. Yet nothing new comes to light, as it is only eating, dumping it out, sleeping and repeating the same things over and over again. An endless repetitive cycle with no bounded end to it's limited power.
Not even casting magic worked to keep me in a productive way, my vocal cords have yet to even let out its first words out into the open air. Not even a mama or papa.
Crawling, not much to be impressed of, not even a muscle of movement to hold myself proud or my parents while it is still only early into my life. Time seemed dormant and slow the more it passed, as if holding me prisoner into what awaits me in the future.
Damn you! The thing that gave me this chance!
I know, I shouldn't be expecting much out of living as an infant. After all, I can't even trigger a memory in my mind from what I feel to be a past existence. An already fulfilled life.
Infancy and the early youth are usually the longest periods in ones life to feel long compared to the teens and adulthood. At least that is some knowledge I can recall from what comes to my mind once in a while. Like bits and pieces coming to me rather slow of a distant past, difficult to attain and remember.
"Come here." Mother ordered, lifting my dormant body from the rough edged wooden floor.
She attached a large piece of cloth that tied her body to mine, like a baby carrier handcrafted solely with a piece of fabric. It attached me to her back as my front faced her and my back turned back as well, leaving me with the same sight in her field of vision.
"Lets head out to the market."
Stepping out of the house was new to me and the very first time for it to occur at these early times. The land was vast outside our yards, we hold a garden of flowers crops and trees with a lot of land in our disposal surrounded by mini sized gravel with concrete made fences.
Outside our own place, the land was vast and mountains clearly visible in the far distance. The crops of summer filled the nearby village that hold the market mother anticipated dearly to see. It wasn't something such as a yearly event as the maid and mother always speak of going there once every week. Now however the maid moved out for a while enjoying a brief vacation at the capital and father worked alongside the knights stationed to protect this small village.
Well, no walls to leave bandits or bad guys out of the village.
It was a while worth of walking to reach the ulterior location know as the Market. It hold different sort of shops, such as for ingredients, weaponry, the local smith, clothing and much more to see around.

Although a lot of caution would be needed from what I lay my eyes upon.
Men and women normally carried around weapons such as swords, bows, lances, spears, daggers and much more things that it is considered practically normal. I fend myself distant from these individual, but every once in a while mother approached many as if knowing their identities.
Perhaps it would be normal to walk around in such a bizarre style. Maybe I would grow up to carry around some form of weapon?
"Now then, lets go get the pieces missing for dinner." Mother mentioned reaching a small shop that sold bread, wheat, vegetables and already prepared fresh food.
I wanted to savor the smell and aroma of the soft and rough textured slices of burning meat that were dropping the juices of its inner parts. The flavor tingled in my tongue, but grabbing a bite would be futile considering the undeveloped teeth in my mouth.
Growing but not strong enough to bite at such strong gripped meat.
A light radiated to my attention outside from this shop. It wasn't a product in display nor a shiny object laying on the ground waiting for a owner.
The source was from a mage dressed in a formal attire casting a healing spell on the knee of an injured boy who bled out a large portion of blood.
The audience around clapped at his saving moment of need of the child that needed it the most for that moment. The man left right after with a large wooden staff that contained a blue gemstone alongside a few others of different class.
Amazing. My need for magic only increased after spectating such an incredible moment in my eyes.
"Careful now, don't want to hurt yourself." Letting my guard down, mother caught me before I dropped to the ground after the whole spectacle.
I'm sorry for worrying you, mother.
The day went as normal, father returned home and night would soon approach after the whole feast we had during our daily activities.
Night, was perhaps the loudest it could get for my parents.
Falling to deep sleep was easy at first, until loud noises traveled the house with the origins, happening right directly into my parents room. The screams of mother and the gentle and rough with evil tone of my father alongside the creaking sounds of their high quality bed.
Did my bed need to consist of a straw made pillow?
At the beginning I thought of the noises, to be of fright or perhaps a panic attack right after my bedtime for both of them. However as they became clearer, it was the moans of my mother and the whole act of my father in their whole and new reproduction phase.
Soon I may end up with a little brother or sister.
Let me sleep in peace!
The night ended well, and soon after days would come by and the maid would make her return from her small vacation out into the capital.
"Apologies for indulging myself for a long time." She would bow gravely into her return.

Her loyalty in the family was undoubtedly true and worth praise. Father stood in the entrance prepared to leave after helping out with her luggage to work. While mother stood their holding her in front with no words to escape her mouth in such a moment.
"There is no need to apologize. You're help is always welcome here, and we hired you with the intention of leaving you free to do what you wanted and when you wanted." Mother recalled stating the no need for a bow of forgiveness.
Reya Runber, the name of the maid working under our Straga family. Supposedly she was once a maid under the royal family, but quit after the close death of the young princess. She found a notice from her old friend, otherwise my father, and hold an interview to get the job.
"Really, Reya there is no need to ask of forgiveness. Just keep up with the good work!" Father positively spoke with his buff figure.
Reya grabbed her things and walked up the stairs glancing once at me with a feint smile that disappeared after her path upstairs left our sight. She harbored an interest in me, that my parents seemed oblivious to even notice. It was as if she had already plotted away a plan for my future ahead of even my own father and mother.
"Incredible!"
My mothers triumphant mood lighten my path as I was now able to take my first steps in life. Crawling ability unlocked baby!
Forming minimal speech also seemed to be in progress as saying mama and papa is now easy enough to let out from my lungs and vocal cords. All the hard waiting procedures finally paid off in the end of it all. How glad I am to be awarded with such an amazing ability.
Thank you lord!
"The young master can finally crawl around?" Reya entered to her surprise with my flawless moving abilities.
She seemed rather proud of herself and approached me with a small toy resembling a plastic toy sword. Father followed right after proud of my achievement in my current phase in life. Mother lifted me carefully examining the dirt that came from the immediate craw I had just experienced. Pieces of the wood and dust all soiled my pants.
"Imagine when he starts walking. Perhaps he'd fall on a pile of mud." Father mentioned seeing mother clean away the little dirt collected in my pants.
A challenge of sorts I suppose.
Father, as serious as he looked was more of a playful individual once you get to know him. While that holds off on its own, his overall appearance surely keeps evil doers away from this village. After all he is strong in the sword but not so much when it comes to using magic.
"Let him develop as a normal child, he will eventually walk on his own when the time comes." Serious in tone with a fraction of annoyance.
Mother grew to be irritated of father during that moment and the maid distanced herself grabbing me away from the growing tension between the two. Their love for each other was valid and with that, their fury against each other always sparked in moments when one gets ahead of themselves.
A large argument went on and on over a not so important subject. It was terrible to see and hear, even so the night that would come out of it, would be calm and pleasant for my ears and sleep.
Huh, the use of words wasn't necessary?
In many ways that I heard of this subject. Casting a spell required speech from the mouth of any and every individual. Yet right this moment, magic was the thing that surrounded my very existence.
A water ball floated above my head going in circles much like the fire element with earth, wind and several other such as ice, lightning, light, dark matter and more. My affinities in magic awakened at an early age without the use of an incantation but the amount of mana that it required depleted instantly knocking me out unconscious at my crib.
Strange enough, incantations were of no need to me, but book and people always mention the need of casting out a spell with the use of an incantation. Yet here I am, using magic without it like it is something I had already come to experience despite it being the first time.
The capacity in me could only hold them for a brief moment, but with practice I should be able of bringing forth much more for a longer period of time.
Mother served as an example for what I aim to accomplish at some point, but my aim is higher than even her own power. At this point I want to reach greater heights never before seen in the world of magic, sure at some point I myself will be surpassed. Yet in my lifetime of being young, my name should be known for what I come to be capable of doing.
I am at the moment a small and weak sorcerer even so, I will eventually lead the greatest life of any sorcerer in existence, who knows perhaps even swordsman.
From what was written on books, usually every individual should normally have one of the four elements, and a rare case would be two. While in my case, four of the elements came to activate alongside many others that seem to be strangely further developed to my state of being, inherited or gifted, not entirely sure how.
Questions surfaced my mind, over these affinities that came to me naturally after awakening my skills in the usage of magic. While these questions popped one by one, magic was now part of my disposal.
