《SEVENTH STREET SUCKERS》Chapter 10: Pulse ride
Advertisement
The Loud boom trailed in the night sky as the dust fell from the skies. A resonating sound pulsed throughout the 10th, 11th, and 12th, districts, the skies, however, gleamed a strong red with a purple hue.
Many people have witnessed the moment take place as the sky was shattered and the clouds had erupted into a storm. The clock had started to run and tick.

I was surrounded in at thick, deep darkness that had corroded everything around me.
It was sensitive but soothing, whenever I tried to move or push about, the darkness would tell me that it was okay. I felt the coldness yet I could also feel the heat coming from its core, It was hatred.
I tried to speak to it, but nothing came out of my voice, however, once I tried saying something with my thoughts, It had responded.
"Who's there?" She said.
The void and solitude of space that was around us had layered our voices... It resonated and felt alive. I wanted to reach out.
I was cautious, but not scared. I spoke to it and thought out to it.
'I am here' I spoke. I felt the raving connection between her voice and mine, we were aligned but it was something out of the ordinary, I had no idea what to think of this but it felt like second nature when it hit me.
I could hear her gasp so slightly like she was surprised she had found me, or that there was someone here, to begin with.
There was a deep lingering silence that sounded heavy, it was pressuring and dense, but I wanted to ask something, I needed to, with all that being said I could not just keep quiet about it.
'What is this place?' I looked around and this place was like closing your eyes and seeing stars, it was interesting, It felt alive.

She didn't say anything for a short while, however it sounded like everything was out of the option, either way, I figured and expected her to say something without questioning me anyways.
'Echelon' She said wearily.
Echelon? I suppose she didn't want to speak with the lack of details in that sentence, maybe she just didn't know how to respond. With every second that went by, I felt a little push trying to edge my eyes open, I wondered why I felt like I was sleeping, or how I have even become aware that I was not awake in the first place.
However, the more I tried to speak the further away she felt, I guessed that that once alive part didn't feel so alive any more than it used to.
Everything grew into silence. The sliver of that warm connection burned out.
'What?' I questioned, Scared something was coming up, I didn't want to leave, I was fine here.
'just don't forget your promise' That girl spoke again... I don't think I have ever spoken to her before.
Something didn't feel right.
It was all off.

I could feel sway in the ground below me. It felt like a wild cannon was on the loose, rumbling with everything surrounding me.
I looked around me, I heard lots of screaming from a distance outside of the buildings, a siren alarm was also banging to the left of me.
But what I had felt in my hand.
I was shaking uncontrollably at the mere sight of what I held in my hands... Immediately let go out of disgust, I could feel and hear my heart beating.
This was the head of a person... Did w-what happen? Where am I, where is this? I-I was bewildered, so much to the point where I could feel a cold sweat rushing through my skin and into the deepest pit of my mind.

Looking at the head... I saw another hand... across from the room and then a body...
I lifted up my head... And I could not believe what I had witnessed.
My eyes widened to the room filled with corpses. Concrete filled with blood, the smell of soot and ashes burning nearby where a door frame which had looked like it had been blasted open by a force so powerful.
My heart sunk... Everything had collided.
I looked at my arms, shirt, pants, and body, only to find blood and small pieces of body tissue that stuck to me..
Did I cause this?...
Was this my doing?...
I couldn't understand... Something did not click.
As I scrambled my mind looking for answers... Outside there was a strong wind and the sound of a repeated whopping was all over the place.
I was as still as a bat in a cave surveying all over the corpse-filled place figuring out just what the hell had been going on.
"THIS IS THE 12-C OPS, COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP!!"
I was not sure what this was, but I did recognize the 12-C OPS... Weren't they an Inside operations team?....
Wait... How?...
At this moment, I didn't know what to do exactly... I was lost... Did I kill these people? What happened?
The more I asked, the less I understood. There was no way of figuring out what I could do.
'Run' A whisper arose.
"Who's there?" Gazing around the direction of the voice... Along this walkway, there was a corridor leaving the left side of this room. At the end of the hall, there was a door.
'There'
What the hell is going on?!
I was held back by the peculiarity of this situation, but I had started to hear footsteps. many footsteps. Those coming from the opposite side of this room on a corridor outside of the blasted door frame.
Without having much of a choice... I couldn't get caught, anything could happen. But, If I run... Isn't that the same as casting away your justice?
Where do I stand? I started to tear up... I was no one. Who Else knew me? I can't even remember who I was in the past.
I slouched to the wall in defeat. I hung my head as the sounds of the doors bieng broken down was of less care to me. I glanced up to look towards the corpses until I noticed a shining hitting my eyes.
I held my hand up high to cover the bright shine and got closer to it. Under the hand of a victim. I was disturbed at first a bit... I didn't want to touch the hand, However... What seemed to shine, was in fact a medallion.
Quickly staring back at the door as I heard there were still people moving about I snatched the medallion away from the grasp of the said body part.
Taking a closer look, this medallion had the crest of a horned dragon bearing a sword down the chest.
I felt something with this... I grasped it in my hands and got up.
'Run'
It urged me... The sounds of running, and men shouting out loud resounded off the walls of these rooms and corridors of concrete.
I loomed over these corpses, my heart tugged on me to move, my mind was trying to find its place as it was shattered. Did I kill? If I did, why would I kill someone? There wasn't anyone around me and I had nowhere to go or what to do.
Soon enough, the shouting had come to a complete stop, they have noticed I was there.
I couldn't stay any longer, I have to leave.. It was what I needed to do.
