《SEVENTH STREET SUCKERS》Chapter 8: Elevate.

In the aftermath of the rain, led to a thick fog that had slightly covered the atmosphere in the streets. The Humid smell of gravel and metal that meshed together because of the rain only followed you everywhere you went in the fog.
I didn't think much of it myself.
I was following this small group of 3 into alleys and different places, I was trying to take a good look at certain objects that I knew I would remember.
There were small shops within alleys and garbage bins, crevices that broke the walls crumbling from abandoned apartments, it was amazing to see, this whole city was a maze within a maze of itself.
But apart from that, these three guys weren't going too fast, it was enough for me to catch up with regular walking speed.
They spoke and sometimes I would hear the cackling of one of them, the tone of his voice would reverberate off the walls making an echo through the alleys.
I kept my distance, but the off chance that one of them knows that I am following them could seem pretty bad.
However, at the end of an alleyway which they were headed, had an opening that was covered with a dark saturated green drape.
And on the wall, was a sign, that was a stop sign cut in half.
In there, I could hear voices, people speaking.
I could hear music just slightly from where I am.
And btw I am just hiding right behind a ledge of a wall that crosses with another alley leading to the main street.
As this gang of individuals get closer to whatever it is, I suppose it's an entrance. One Burly man comes out of the fray.
He had a tattoo over his head that was a star with a slash in the middle.
He had spoken to them, greeted them from what I can see, and then they all walked in.
'Follow them'
Words again had resounded in my ears. I was pretty sure there was no one around me at this moment. Who is speaking and how? Asking again, am I going loco or am I telepathic?

Within a myriad of things to say too, but looking back to the alley end, I refocused on the main thing.
So, basically, My trail of following them leads me to a hideout, or a bar, or something of the sort, I doubt anyone would care if they have a girl, but they were greeted by a burly man.
I was speculating if this was a bar or something else. However, judging from the look of the guy, he had a tattoo, maybe it poses some significance, but there's a chance it doesn't mean anything. I will take the latter though.
I held myself back from going, my curiosity just grew and grew more. At the prime of my decision though, I decided I would try to slip in, but I would have to make some sort of distraction to get the guy to come outside. Or I get inside and try my luck figuring out what to do.
I took a step forward, but I heard someone from behind. Before I could even turn around to look at who was behind me or even make any movements whatsoever, someone had gripped my shoulder hard.
"Look at what we've got here" I turned my head to look at the person grabbing me. And it was a hooded man, however, looking closely, I was able to see that he had the same symbol as the burly man. A star with a slash going down diagonally.
I wanted to make a move but the second I did, he had a knife held towards my gut, and with a snarky smile, he spoke.
"Make a move, and you're dead, you'd best listen and come with me"

A blast of wind followed by a flurry of gunshots had vibrated off into the distance of the nearby facilities that had been held up in the 2nd district.
On opposite ends were both the chaotic Zero and the doctor, Marshal.
"Hey, you're not tired yet are you?" Chuckled Marshal, although it has been short, Marshal was aiming to tire the boy out than rather have him get killed, this boy was no more special to him than a mother to a child. However, this rebellious child could not be calmed.

Zero vowed at the moment he had planned this little breakout that he will never succumb again to this doctor or facility.
Zero wanted his freedom, and he wanted it so. However, as unfortunate it may be, there is a limit to his capability, and Marshal was well aware of that.
Zero, on the other hand, had not a single desire to stop, his will was to continue forward.
Within odds, Zero looked at his hands, a little battered through the overuse of his own abilities, but he knew his strength better than anyone. It was his, and his it would stay.
With no hesitation, and no response, to the question Marshal had made, he glared back at Marshal with eyes that pierced through metal, like thin sharp needles.
Zero had held up his right arm again, with a straight open palm facing this doctor, a burst of wind pressure followed.
The amount of pressure was enough to blow back the arms of the boy, but his stance never faltered.
And the doctor, however old he may be, this coot was swift and quick with movement. It shows the years of experience having to deal with many similar problems, but not all his moves were perfect. When shooting, his aim was unfortunately extremely poor. Trying to aim the handgun as he had only given him veins popping out of his forehead. It only made him swear at the top of his lungs during battle.
Yet as he was facing this specific boy, getting close to him is a no-no.
Another burst of wind pushed back the boy again, staggering him a bit, soon as there was enough time the doctor had aimed the pistol and shot a repetitive 6 times in succession, but not one shot could be landed, and had hit one of the windows and a lamp post.
"Goddammit!, this stupid thing!" With anger Marshal rose his voice.
Without warning, another blast of wind pressure had been shot from Zero's palms. Marshal had dodge-rolled within the nick of time.
Marshal had looked around to see if there was any other way to get back at Zero, he had seen a piece of rebar, the old doctor had immediately aimed for it but, there was no more wind pressure. A few more seconds had passed.
And silence had arrived.
Marshal stood there standing with a grimaced expression, he was looking at Zero, who had collapsed to the ground.
Marshal could see him taking deep breaths, he suspected that the boy was exhausted by the excessive use of waves.
Waiting a bit longer, Marshal then decided that he would go towards the boy. As soon as he got closer to the boy he knelt down to see the condition of the boy.
"well.. I didn't expect you to last this long with using the waves"
Marshal reached out on Zero to check his pulse first with his two fingers, but before even touching him, he had felt a gun to his back.
"Marshal, don't move" It was the voice of a little girl.
"And as always, you follow along, don't you Seven?"
With a twist in his hands, he turned his body quicker than anyone would expect, and he had grabbed the gun with ease, he knocked out Seven, the doctor grabbed her by the neck before her limp legs would even bend.
"Jeez, kids these days"
Laying Seven onto the ground slowly, he got up and turned around.
Zero was standing, And he was fuming with both arms out palms facing the doctor.
Heavily breathing, Zero had stood, staggering a bit his arms were both raised and aimed at Marshal. Just out of breath, his gaze was powerful and his stare was welling up with anger that set the atmosphere on fire.
Marshal in surprise only just noticed but really slightly froze in the spotlight.
And without a single second lost, an even more powerful blast than before had erupted from his palms towards Marshal, blowing him away with an impacting woosh of air pressure.
