《Miracle Angeliva》Chapter 19 - Return

Meanwhile, Raleigh and the Zed were walking toward the exit. The mansion only gave them a bad feeling. Especially for Zed who felt like that everything hadn’t been over yet.
“…you sure she’s going to be safe?” Zed couldn’t help but ask this question.
“…I’m pretty sure that she knows what she is doing. She saved my life twice, you know?” Raleigh spoke with a bitter smile. His life was saved by Mir twice. And although he managed to save her life in the end, he still felt troubled as he was the one who pulled Mir to this place. And that was also because of the dice he bought from one of his friends…
Remembering the face of his smiling friend, Raleigh made an oath to hit him on the face when he saw him again.
“Twice? You mean three times? You didn’t count the one where she gave you food when you almost died, did you?” Zed sneered at him while his irritation rose because he thought of his sly friend.
“I was fine! I was just hungry! How about you, how many times you were saved by her?” Raleigh snapped at him.
Zed tried to remember. Sure, it saved Mir, but Mir also saved him. If it counted it right, Mir saved it more than it saved her. Mostly because it talked too much while Mir concentrated on the fighting though.
“…” The two of them looked at each other and sighed together.
“…forget it. We owe our lives to her now.” Raleigh said with a sigh.
“…yeah. I owe her my deathly life.” Zed agreed for once.
Raleigh touched the handle of the front door before he stopped suddenly. He really had a bad feeling when he touched the handle of the door.
Similarly, Zed also abruptly stopped when it was right in the front door. If Zed could sweat, it would have cold sweat drenched over its body, just like Raleigh. The two of them looked at each other before Raleigh opened the door. Only slightly. Just to take a little peek. And then, he slowly closed the door again.
“…” The two of them looked at each other again. Raleigh gulped as he opened the door a little one more time. He only took a quick peek. Yes, he only took a quick peek. Only to see hell in front of him. That was right. He saw hell.
There were countless evil spirits trapped in this amusement park. They were not particularly strong individually, however, they were also not your average evil spirits. They were strengthened by the power of black miasma, caused by the negative emotion deep inside Riku’s heart.
However, because they were strengthened by Riku’s power, they were also trapped by his will. Riku hated people who made his house to be an amusement park. However, he only hated those who came to the amusement park, or specifically speaking, his house.
The others, however, were different. From the beginning, they culminated their hatred towards humans because the black miasma increased their negative emotions. And most of them hated humans in general. So, when Riku was defeated and he passed away peacefully, the ghosts were freed from his will.

And when they were free… Raleigh saw that countless evil spirits laughed as they flew to the nearest city. He didn’t know what they were going to do, but it was really bad news for people who lived in that city. No, if he saw it from his perspective, it would be bad for people in this world. Because evil spirits brought negative energy, that would cause people to have negative emotions that would cause more negative energy to be produced. This cycle could endanger the whole world, so from his perspective, it would be bad if all the evil spirits were free from this place.
“…”
There was nothing he could do though. The best he could do was silently closed the door again and silently waited for all evil spirits to go from this amusement park. After that, he would go to the nearest hospital with Mir and after that… well, he would hit his sly friend in the face first before he thought of what he would do next.
They waited for half an hour before Mir reappeared in front of them. There was soot all over her body. When Mir looked at Raleigh, she unconsciously looked away because of the guilt. However, she couldn’t stay silent forever, so, she reached out her hand and grabbed Raleigh’s hand.
“…sorry.” Mir apologized as he gave something to Raleigh. Raleigh was confused when he saw the thing in his hand. It was… pieces of metal. But he couldn’t understand what it was, so, he looked really confused.
“This is?” He asked confusedly.
“…the ring.” Mir replied honestly while still didn’t dare to look at Raleigh directly.
“Ring…? The ring I gave you!?” Raleigh was surprised to see the ring… or what was left of it in his hand.
Zed interrupted them before Mir could say anything. “You gave her a ring!? I thought you are not a lolicon! Raleigh, I was wrong about you! You pervert!”
“I’m not a pervert! Agh, this is not a normal ring, this is a ring that can help a newbie to manipulate their spiritual energy!” Raleigh explained to Zed before he fell on his knees and grabbed his head.
“What should I do!!? This is my sister’s ring… she will definitely kill me if she knows about it!” Raleigh said in desperation.
“…apologize.” Mir couldn’t help but look down on Raleigh.
Zed, who watched from the side, couldn’t help but mutter. “…I know you are trying to say that you want to apologize, but from my point of view, it seems like you force him to apologize to you.”
“…ah.” Mir heard what Zed said and she awkwardly scratched her cheek. “…I apologize.”
“…yes, if you apologize to her, I won’t die. But you will die for sure!” Raleigh said as if it was already a matter of fact.
“…” Both Mir and Zed couldn’t say anything at all now.
“…no, more importantly, Mir, what did you do? You are not only covered in blood, but also in soot! Are you alright?” Zed asked her, ignoring the pitiful man nearby. From the bottom of her feet to the top of her head, there was no place that was not uncovered by traces of blood and soot. Zed understood the blood came from the fighting earlier, but they didn't use fire, so it was wondering where Mir got the soot.

“…nn.” Mir nodded. She was covered in soot just because she burned everything in the secret room. She remembered that there was a kitchen, so, using some woods and oil, she burned the secret room. “…ah!”
“What is it? Something bothering you?” Zed asked when it saw her expression.
“…nn.” Mir nodded vigorously. “…escape.” She added.
“Escape? No, Mir, what did you do? Don’t tell me… you burn the mansion?” Zed asked in disbelief after it connected everything. Well, only by seeing her soot-covered face was enough to know that she was playing with fire. Now, she also said that they had to escape, so, there was only one truth.
“Oi, stupid Raleigh, we’ll run! Get up!” Zed shouted at Raleigh. Raleigh nodded reluctantly, but he still got up and together with Mir and Zed, they opened the door and ran away from this mansion. No, they ran from the amusement park completely.
The evil spirits, the ghosts that were trapped in the amusement park was no more. They already left and most of them went to the nearest city, which was Mir’s hometown. Raleigh and Zed knew about it. However, Mir didn’t know anything about it.
…
“…”
Mir was speechless. She was truly speechless. The colorful world in front of her… was not something that she expected.
She never expected Raleigh to bring her to a place like this. After they returned from the amusement park, Raleigh called his friend and he picked them up and brought them to the hospital. The two of them were checked thoroughly in the hospital, but besides the lack of blood because of excessive bleeding, they were alright.
After that, Mir thought of going home, but both Raleigh and his friend, Fred, grabbed her shoulders and brought her to this place. And this place was… a clothing store! Not to mention that it was one of the high-class clothing stores in the city!
“…”
“What’s wrong Mir? You can choose whatever you want. I’m paying, you know?” Raleigh reassured Mir, but Mir still felt troubled. She felt that even with the jerseys she borrowed from Fred was enough. She would go home and take a rest.
She never expected Raleigh to feel guilty over it and tried to recompensate her ruined clothes. As for Fred, he was Raleigh’s best friend, they said. And Raleigh borrowed a lot of money from him, and so, adding a few bucks wouldn’t a problem, he said.
“You know, in this situation, you shouldn’t urge them to choose. Mir, this guy is really inconsiderate. Here, here, and here. Try them all.” Fred came with a pile of dresses in his hands and forced them all to Mir, who silently accepted them before she was pushed into the fitting room.
“Ah, I see!” Raleigh hit her palm with his fist in understanding. “No wonder they call you Casanova ever since you are a student!”
“Hey, I’m not like that.” Fred threw a weak punch at Raleigh’s shoulder. “More importantly, isn’t she too young? Are you sure she is legal?”
“Tsk, what do you mean? I don’t see her in that way. She saved my life, you know?” Raleigh retorted with a wry smile.
“…You didn’t answer my question, stupid. I was asking whether she is too young or not.” Fred chortled mischievously as Mir scurried to the fitting room. He followed Mir swiftly, leaving Raleigh behind, stunned.
“Hey, don’t make a move on her!” Raleigh realized Fred’s intention, chased after him with all his might.
“Have you tried them all? Which one do you think fit you the most?” Fred asked Mir as she stepped out of the fitting room.
“…” Mir shook her head as she didn’t want to trouble them any more than this. However, once again, Fred smiled mischievously.
“You sure there is none that you like?” He asked. He was sure that he chose the best for Mir, though he didn’t know her usual style. Before Mir replied, however, Fred continued, “Well, if you don’t think they are good enough, let’s go search for more! We are going here until you find the best dress for you!”
“…” Mir sighed as she understood what he meant immediately. That meant, sooner or later, she had to choose something. And in this situation, the sooner she chose, the better it would be. She only wanted to go home as soon as possible and slept soundly as soon as possible. There was no way she would like to spend her time choosing something she would only wear once in a while. Or maybe, once in her lifetime.
“…wait.” Mir called Fred. “…this.”
She pointed at the best dress in her opinion. It was not the most beautiful dress between them. However, it covered her body the most. For someone like her, she wouldn’t choose the most beautiful dress but the most normal-looking dress that didn’t show her skin too much.
“This one?” Fred asked, lifting a black and white dress with a lot of frills.
“…nn.” Mir nodded.
“Hmm, alright, please wear it again and let me see you in this dress.” Fred said as he gave her the dress once again.
“…” Reluctantly, Mir entered the fitting room again and changed her clothes. After that, she showed the dress to both Raleigh and Fred calmly.
“Hmm, nice, it really fits you.” Fred nodded in agreement. Raleigh also nodded and complimented her appearance. Before Mir could return to the fitting room, Fred grabbed her hand and pulled her. He said to Raleigh, “Grab her clothes, we are going to pay it now. Oh, also, we buy them too.”
“…” Mir silently pulled out her hand, however, she followed Fred to pay for the dress she was wearing. After that, Raleigh and Fred dropped her in front of her house. Her mother literally screamed ‘Oh my God, Mir has fallen in love!!!’ when she saw Mir in a new dress, but Mir ignored her as she was too sleepy to respond. And so, she ended her day quickly even before the sun set in the west…

Unknown Fate's End
The ancient's believed that a man's fate or destiny is written already, and that only God or maybe the Gods could change it. If they did change it, it was believed it was for a purpose unknown to that man or for maybe for the ammusement of those higher beings. However, whether that is true or not, one thing is for certain. Changing a man's fate will create a ripple of changes. Join our hero, who whether by luck, by some divine intervention, or by his own choice, separated from the fate that he shared with his fellow earthlings. Watch him struggle in his new world. Watch him grow. Watch him learn. Watch him walk a path oustside what destiny has for him. FYI: The magic concept in this story is high fantasy with involvement of polytheistic religions and demons. There will be a mix of GameLit style writing mixed with traditional magic novel style writing. The plot developement will be slow in the first volume, as I will focus on world building and character building. The main character will not be OP immediately and will develop into one in his own way over time. This series is built less like modern Japanese, Korean, and Chinese webnovels and more like the old school fanstasy novels like DND and Forgotten Realms.
