Gdynia, Poland, Reception Hall in Courtyard by Marriott Gdynia, August 12th, 6:00 PM

We see the Reception Hall almost empty as the only occupants were the EU representatives, hotel staff, security guards, and the other Polish representative to oversee the whole meeting between Alasteria and the EU as a whole. Then, the Polish representative entered the Reception room first and later followed by the captain and First mate, and Angel to serve as a translator to both of the Alasterian men.

“Welcome to Gdynia sirs, I am Lucien Galtier, Representative of the EU and to my right is Polish representative Josef Witos.”

Galtieri said as he pointed his finger to his right at the Polish representative, and then he reached his hand for a handshake.

“Um, L-likewise, Mr. Galtieri… I'm Captain Bredei and this is my First Mate Drost.”

He replied as the Captain shook his hand.

“Now, please take a seat, and let's get straight to the point.”

The EU representative said as he told them both of the men sit down in the dining chairs with fancy food in front of them.

The captain and his first mate would sit down in the dining chairs as it felt much more comfortable than the dining chairs in the nobility. They were also awestruck by the food in front of them. They are thinking about how they prepared this kind of dish that may put the nobility's food to shame.

“What is the name of your country and where is it situated?”

The EU representative asked a simple question while the two Polish representatives are just overseeing and taking notes.

“The name of the country is the Kingdom of Alasteria, and it is situated east of us. But how about you, what is the name of your country?”

The captain replied and asked the EU representative

"My country's name is France, and we are part of the European Union."

The representative replied

"European Union?"

The captain asked curiously.

"The European Union is a political and economic union comprising 28 member states and we are in Poland, which is one of those member states."

The EU representative answered.

The captain was so shocked at how many countries that formed the European Union thinking that it unites them under one nation, but he must keep his composure and brush aside the shock of the 28 member countries that formed the European Union.

"I-I see, what does the European Union want?"

He asked what do these multiple nations want.

"We are here to establish diplomatic relations and trade, the economies of the EU are declining, though we prevented a Union-wide crisis for now."

The representative replied.

"I see, so you want to trade?" He said with concern, "Does it include paying slaves and a tribute?"

The captain said as it surprised the EU representative and Polish representatives that the other world is practicing those kinds of barbarous acts.

"No slaves or tributes, sir, we no longer practice those kinds of acts."

The EU representative calmly replied.

The captain was in awe of how these nations no longer practiced slavery or tributes that he thought to himself on how they could build such magnificent structures without having to rely on slaves.

"I-I see, I'll convey the message to the Royal Capital."

The captain replied with a slight hesitation on their actual intentions.

"Please do so, I have the documents for the proposal, and Miss, please write the treaty in their language."

The EU representative said as he handed over the documents

The captain then grabbed the documents with the first mate reading along stating

Proposed Treaty of Gdynia

- Trade between the EU and Alasteria

- A large compound to be constructed in one of the major ports to serve as a basis for diplomatic contact between the EU and Alasteria

- A Non-aggression pact between the EU and Alasteria

- Will help improve Alasteria’s lives by sending doctors, engineers, and construction workers while introducing life-improving technology on a limited scale.

- Prospecting rights for EU Prospectors to search for resources in Alasteria.

The treaty can have further renegotiations if the King calls for it, and we will only accept it if we see it fit that will benefit both the EU and Alasteria. Any violation within the treaty would lead to the revocation of the treaty by the EU.

The captain took the paper and then read it along with his first mate as it surprised him that there are no conditions to how many slaves they should send and how many tributes they have to pay to continue trading while Angel is writing the treaty in Alasterian language.

"So these are the only conditions you want for trade."

The captain said as it relieved him they won't have to pay for slaves or tributes since the Alasterian economy is shit.

"Yes sir, and also we will send ambassadors to your country to confirm the message of their approval."

The EU representative said

"I understand, is this all for the Kingdom of Alasteria?"

The captain asked

"Yes sir, that's all we have to talk about and enjoy your rest here."

The EU representative said, smiling.

"O-ok then..."

The captain replied

Both of the Alasterian men started eating the dishes in which it was a time of their lives that the dishes it has served them were so delicious and mouthwatering that the captain wanted to send a chef to replicate the recipe and procedure of how they cook these. It is also a relieving moment for the EU that they found a trade partner but not enough to meet the needed quotas to fill in food and oil storage as they need those to solve the resource issues. As the Captain and the First Mate were done eating their dinner, hotel staff and security guards escorted them to their rooms, to which they marveled at the luxury of the room upon entry.

The dinner of the Captain and First Mate was so delicious and extravagant that it left both of the men satisfied and well-fed that it may seem that talking with these 'European Union' is a good choice for the Alasteria especially when the country is deeply in an economic decline and political instability thanks to the 3 major factions that are trying to manipulate the King.

"So, Drost, what do you think of this city called Gdynia?"

The captain asked his First Mate.

"Well, it was like we've never seen before, buildings that tower high above the sky and lighting that will put the Royal Capital to shame."

Drost replied

"Well, as a captain of the Galleon, I'm quite surprised on how the so-called EU could form a united nation without worrying a rebellion and Gdynia seems to be an important city..."

The captain said to him

"Quite a shock to us, you know, to think they could form a Union just like that and develop such tall towers and buildings."

Drost further commented.

"The beds here are even more comfortable than back at the Royal Capital, I wonder how they could achieve such comfortability to the beds."

Bredei said as he commented about the beds being comfy as if it was like enjoying the life of a God.

"I know right, Gods must've granted them to build a magnificent tower towering above the sky... I just hope we made the right decision...."

Drost said with a slight doubt.

"Anyway, Let's get some rest, We are going to leave tomorrow."

Bredei said

"A-alright sir."

Drost replied as he lay down in bed, feeling the comfortability of it and then the Captain followed suit going to sleep soundly as if the Gods were under their care.

Whilst they sleep, The Alasterian Fleet watched the night skyline as they were in awe that they are viewing the city of the gods with their respective captains watching the Yachts and Navy Vessels moving in and out of the harbor. Luckily for them though, they aren't even attacking, leaving a sigh of relief for some crew especially when they worry about their respective Captain Bredei that they hoped that he'll be fine along with his first mate. EU meetings were also becoming busier as it was about a contingent defense plan for the planned compound at one of their ports while also considering sending the Royal Navy vessels to transport the ambassadors into the country. Though, NATO is still undergoing a reformation as they'll have a big meeting on September 1st.
