《An NPC Challenges the Dark Lord(LN)》Vol 1. Chapter 5: Party Crasher

“Escape! Freedom! Stop!”
Yami yawned at Arcana.
“You’re even shouting spells that don’t exist. Fine I’ll have to lift the impact and fight you like Lucifer did.”
The invisibility cloak floated above me and I could move again. I saw visions…
Visions of BraveHart being cruel…
“weak. Leave them behind.”
My father taught me we never leave people behind…I remember he brought a limbless comrade from war.
Maybe it's an illusion to force me to hate the greatest heroes.
“BraveHart! Is it true you’re full of bulls***? Is it true you’ve recruited so many members and left them behind?”
The Dark Lord interrogated my childhood hero…
“No! I am a true warrior, the legendary hero known in the World Guild.”
“Wrong answer. Maybe I should speed up the planet more.”
The planet was now halfway between Yami and Team Unconquered.
“I’ve set up a screen big enough in the world of Errd. Everyone will see you die from a simple lie. It would be a shame if they watched a planet wipe you out from the leaderboards.”
BraveHart could feel the force of the planet approaching them.
“Yes! I leave the weak behind and I’m not ashamed! I’M GOING TO KILL YOU WITH THE CHANCE YOU’VE GIVEN US.”
The planet disappeared.
“Finally I did something to fill the daily game news. I did not give you a chance. I only delayed the inevitable. Go on. Try.”
BraveHart charged head on filled with emotions of rage and shame…
I could not believe he was a bad person.
Yami did not move and took the hit through his heart as BraveHart lifted the sword and Yami’s body high up in The Void.
“There is no touching me.”
BraveHart turned into ashes. The team leader was gone. Yami landed calmly.

“HEAL HIM ALTHEA! F***ING HURRY.”
Althea could not move and sat down to cry instead.
“I didn’t want to end this party, your party. But your party has abused the rules of the game, so you must die in the most helpless way possible.”
“Perfect Mana Steal”
I didn’t understand what the magic did but Team Unconquered fell to their knees.
“Come Brad, you don’t need mana right because you’re a warrior? Why don’t we test if you can ram me? No? Then I’ll charge at you with full speed. I wanna test your durability.”
Before Brad could turn his back, The Dark Lord punched his face launching everyone away from Brad. Brad was also just ashes now.
“I’m very sorry. I lied about allowing you to fight me with full power. The results are the same anyway.”
“From the ashes of your party leader, comes your death.”
The Dark Lord shaped the ashes into six sharp spikes hurled towards the remaining members of Team Unconquered.
Except Althea who was still sobbing.
“She’s innocent! Even I can notice that without all this magic!”
I put myself in front of her to protect her.
“I know. Therefore.”
I was suddenly beside the two of them facing each other.
The Dark Lord towered above the crying Althea with his red eyes looking down on her.
“I would like to avail of your support services. Join me.”
“I’m not worthy…I’m only a healer.”
“That can be modified.”
Althea’s garments of aqua and white changed into violet, black and gold colors…
“Now you are not merely a healer. You are a necromancer, tamer and summoner also. I don’t care anymore if you join me or not. Live your life in this game but when I tell you to ruin the return of Team Unconquered you will do so. Join the other top squads.”

Althea kept crying but her tears were now pitch black.
“You are reborn of a lower level so that you may gain plenty of skills again aside from healing. Now then I have to destroy all of Team Unconquered’s wealth. Here’s the Staff of Queen Edelweiss. Figure out how it works.”
“I don’t know how to thank you…I’ve always been against fighting entities that are stronger…or just fighting alone. I don’t want to fight anymore.”
“I can build you a Witch’s Grand Laboratory to experiment with your new skills later. Maybe you can tame King Grimm one day or even just a contract with King Grimm.”
“As for you Sam. You have seen too many of my skills but you will live for now. I’m sending you back home.”
“Sam! Stop forcing us to wait for you…we’re all hungry for dinner.”
Father was joking around again.
I don’t have a reason anymore to visit the World Guild but with everything I saw…if those kinds of insane techniques are possible…
I have to become stronger to protect my Mother and Father. There’s more magic out there I’ve never seen and I must be prepared. I realize now that the threats around aren’t just swords and daggers…
[Yami greeting Team Unconquered]
“Hello New Players! Don’t worry about being level 1. I want you to earn everything from now on.”
Brad and BraveHart clench their fists. Well if they try something against me I can erase their profile forever.
“Our base is gone…all our gold is gone…you monster…we wouldn’t be this poor if we didn’t blindly go for the stupid bounty!”
Arcana cried and fell to her knees.
“Well it’s only fair I take your money since I won the battle. If I lost I would lose 1 trillion plus my levels.”
I will never consider that what I did was stealing. I just punished these proud assholes.
“You never considered defeat and this is fitting punishment. Your math sucks thinking your combined levels are equal to my experience and knowledge of the game.”
This should scare every other squad for the bounty thing. Otherwise, I can do this for all eternity.
“You didn’t have to go this far! Where’s Althea!?”
“Replace your healer, You’re used to replacing your team members anyway. She’s enjoying the laboratory I imprisoned her in.”
They are finally realizing she was important. I think that anyone who realizes the importance of others so late in their life are scum.
“Boring conversation. I’m going to leave now so you can start now. See you on the leaderboards! Though it's highly unlikely.”
I have not collected a new skill in weeks. I should demand that Game God will not disturb me while I look for one. I wonder if Sam grows up to be good…Game God will give the order anyway to destroy the Special NPC.
Never mind. I’m curious. I have too many skills. I don’t need another. I should go meet The Five Immortals. Maybe I can make it The Two Immortals instead. The autonomy and free will of NPCs is very intriguing.

GLADIUS // Eret X Reader
PHANTASM SERIES BOOK 4---Gladius, (noun): (in ancient Rome) a short sword.---Eret perked up as soon as you and Simon walked into the room, a wide and welcoming smile coming onto his face. He was softer looking than his father had been, but you could still see some of the similar traits. He had a head of thick dark curls, and the same sharp jaw that his father had had. He wasn't as bulky though - he was tall and thin - and his face was a lot more open. What separated him most from his father's likeness though was the colorful cape, and the large mirrored glasses he wore - swirling with colors reflected from the room. He stood from his seat when Maven let the doors swing shut behind her, that wide smile still on his face. "You must be the embassy.""And you must be King Eret." You said, stooping into a bow. "Oh, there's no need for that." Eret said as you rose from your bow. He stepped down from the dias where his throne sat - colorful cape trailing behind him - and came to stand in front of you, taking your hand instead. "I'm not really one for formalities." He grinned, shaking your hand. His palm was warm against yours, and you could feel some slight callouses - most likely from practicing his sword work.
