《Bottomless earth》Chapter 2

By the time I finished writing in my skill it was late in the night.
Lucy said I could just spend the night in the room in the back. At first i said no I would go find a inn but she insisted and i slept in the back room of the guild.
The next day when I woke up I found my way back out to the big open room with the chairs and tables. There still weren't too many people. But more then last time there was a man in the back drink and a few more people sitting at tables eating.
Aleast it's more then yesterday. None of them seem to be players though. Looking over at the guilds main table lucys waving me down so I decided to walk over.
“ Sorry you had to sleep in the back.”
“ Ah its alright thanks for letting me stay here late to finish everything.”
“ I don't mind, it's what I'm here for. All go grab your guild card and you can be on your way.”
She turned around and headed farther in the back only to come back a few mins later with a small gray card in hand.
“Well here you go, make sure to come back and take the quest you will gain various rewards based on the quest."
"Your ID can also be used to enter different countries as well as some low level dungeons. so make sure to keep it safe.”
“Thank you lucy all be sure to keep it safe all see you next time.”
Turning around and walking out the guild door.
Looking around town I could really see how small this town really was instead of taking a quest right off the bat. I think i'm gonna look into my skills a little bit more.

Damn these are pretty useful they really went into detail about the story it seems. There doesn't seem to be any levels in this game that's a little bit weird but I guess it makes it feel a little bit more real. But I wonder how i'm going to use these.

I wandered a few feet outside the town gates without noticing.
Well I was planning on going here anyways pulling out my dagger from my inventory I walked a bit deeper into the woods. Man I really should have got [Danger sense] as I walked I started marking the bases of trees so I wouldn't get lost.
Picking up anything that looked special like plants or mushrooms. I somehow found my way to a clearing there didn't seem to be anything around so I set up a bit of a base camp. I would like to use magic to make this faster but I still don't know if any spells will not harm in getting dirty.
Rolling up my sleeves I started digging a hole for a fire and started gathering nearby wood and stones it didn't take very long for the shape I had in my head to be put together.
Now that i have that firepit made I can get started on a shelter looking around there seems to be some longs around but I don't have a way to make planks.
I'm gonna have to improvise.
It's gonna be dark soon and I don't have any way to make shelter and I've walked too far to head back to the village what to do. I wonder if my skills can help me looking back at it.
I did get the skill [Alchemy] should I be able to break down and rebuild items.
Taking the dagger out of my inventory. I started taking it apart. I have an iron blade as well as the wooden handle that was attached.
“How am i supposed to use my skills in the first place?”
After failing a few times and I finally got it you can either try and activate the skills on your own or you can say the skills name while its faster you wont get as much items as taking it apart without the skill. After looking into it it seems like doing Alchemy is a little bit harder then the other skills if you want to perform something you would need to have the proper symbols for what you're about to do.
You would think you could just use the system and everything would be good but using the system greatly reduces the chance of it working and the effects of it are all reduced as well so the only way to do it without any negative effects would be to learn every symbol that is used.

But all just stick with using the system for now all have to figure that out later. After finally figuring out how to use my [Alchemy] skill I made a axe I hadn't had a chance to study the symbols so I had to use the system the item is so bad but atleast I have an axe.
Next time i'm in town I definitely need to ask lucy more about the skills and how they work.
~Poorly made Axe~

Desc: A axe made by a beginner in Alchemy with no special effects.
Seems like I can get my alchemy to the point I can have special effects. Soon after I made the axe I made a basic shelter, nothing too fancy, just a small fire pit and a pot I took from that old cabin I spawned in and a medium sized tent made out of wood and large leaves I found in the woods. Sooner or later Im going to move but this will do for now going inside the tent i made a small bed with some grass and more of those leaves.
Night is soon going to fall so i went to sleep just like the nights before it felt like no time at all had passed from the point i fell asleep and the point I woke it was such a real feeling. I couldn't find any animals nearby but I did find some old bones that had been left by a hunt. I picked up a few I probably could make some sort of makeshift knife or something.
I think I saw something about one on TV once. I still haven't run into any other players though.
I understand that not alot of people play the wasteland as their kingdom but that doesn't mean there is none right? I decided that I would head back to that town for a bit and ask Lucy on how to use magic. I made sure to lock everything up before I left even though there's nothing really to steal. I started the long trek back to the village. I found myself coming out of the forest a few hours later as I entered the village I noticed the guards seemed a little bit off.
They were paying more attention to me but nothing happened. I walked over to the guild and spotted Lucy at the counter.
“Hey lucy whats new?”
“Don't get me started.” As she rolled her eyes
“Huh really that bad?”
“Yea the other day some of the bandits from the area decided to attack the town and it damaged so much property and many were hurt we managed to hold them off for now but if they come back again i don't believe we'll be so lucky”
Her ears dropped low and her smile was no longer there.
“Is there no way to get more people to help?”
“Most of the other villages have been taken over by the bandits and this land is just free for all after all we're the lefts over of other countries.”
Thinking about why can't this be a country if everyone put in a little effort this wasteland could be so much better than the other kingdoms. Instead of solely relying on a sigler race it would be all of them mixed everyone's ideas could help... Wait wait im thinking too far ahead i still need to figure out everything.
“Well I'm sorry to hear that lucy. I came here to ask a favour of you if you don't mind?”
“As long as it's not too weird , I'm all for it.”
After hearing the words leave her mouth she turned red and I started laughing.
“Well I don't believe it's too weird. Would you mind teaching me about magic? I can't seem to figure it out.”
“Ah yes well i guess i could explain it like this. It is all about words you say as you have an image in your mind there is a book in the back let me go fetch it.”
Lucy soon turned and walked off she came back moments later with a large black leather book it looked very old. Putting it on the table a loud thud can be heard.

Summoning America
Entirely cut off from Earth, the United States finds itself in a scientific impossibility: the entire country, including the continental landmass and separated states and territories, was transported to another world. Unlike Earth, this new planet boasts phenomena unknown to science. Magic reigns supreme in this new region of the universe, bolstered by the natives' own scientific progression. Monsters roam wastelands and dungeons, subsisting off unfortunate travelers, local fauna, and sometimes even entire towns! Ambassador Samuel Anders is tasked with contacting the various nations and entities of this new world. Despite his best attempts at diplomacy, the arrogance and hostility of the natives prove to be an unnavigable barrier. War is the only alternative. Eventually, fears surface regarding an ancient evil: the Ravernal Empire. How will the United States handle the threats of this new neighborhood? What magical wonders will its adventurous citizens find? This Summoning Japan inspired work will follow the United States as it is summoned to a New World. The story will begin with the United States’ initial encounter with the Rodenius continent. Although starting similarly to the original story, Summoning America will begin to diverge greatly as the war against the Lourian Kingdom comes to an end. For the context of this work, I expect that you have already familiarized yourself with the original piece, “Summoning Japan” also known as “Nihonkoku Shoukan”.
