《Deity's Fragments [Paused]》Chapter 33 - Expedition

"Welcome sir, I am the armory manager; how can I help you?"
Looking around at the various pieces of equipment, I looked at the on-site manager and replied. "Good morning; I'm looking at the equipment currently in place; is there anything that distinguishes them from the others?"
With a smile as if expecting this, the girl replied. "From the equipment, you bring I can gather that this is your first time in the wastelands. I can proudly say that our teams are the best in the whole city.
Unlike the other teams, our teams are imbued with the miasma of the wastelands."
When she finished speaking, an air of pride and satisfaction could be noted in his voice.
Zack could only deny this, but not in the wrong way. "Show me the goods you have."
The girl nodded and began to give Zack an explanation of the equipment the store contained.
Since he had a double identity, he chose to buy more weapons than the last time.
He bought 2 magic pistols, a multi-shot bow, two pairs of swords, and a spear.
His preferred weapons were weapons he could use at medium and close range, as well as the scythe and spear. Previously he could not get these, so he used swords.
With his new equipment, he will use his spear and pistols as Zack while his bow and swords as the devil.
He bought a new set of magical clothing alike, plus now he was able to solve his clothing problem.
He bought the same black clothing, but stronger in addition to containing red borders on his hood. For his clothes as Zack, he could buy some blue shorts and white t-shirts along with some sandals.
The clerk was surprised, as it was unusual to see someone going hunting in that clothing style, but then dismissed the idea as he had bought other clothes.
'Most likely, he'll use it to rest,' she thought.
Zack walked into the lobby and then changed his clothes. He wouldn't waste the gear he bought from the old dwarf. He thought about returning it when he met this one again.

He left the lobby, and on his way out, he found another person inside the store looking his way.
"Are you Mr. Zack?" asked a dragon man.
"I am, and you?" he didn't know why this dragon had suddenly come looking for him.
The dragon looked at him and then looked down at his wrist, which did not escape Zack's sight. This one had decided to use some cloth to cover his wrist.
"I introduce myself; I'm Druwn. I belong to the dragon awaken group. We were informed that someone would be joining us, and they were in the armory, so I came to see who the person was that would be joining."
Zack just nodded and then looked at the clerk. He pulled money out of his space storage and paid the attendant.
The whole team made a total of 15,800 SC. Finishing this, he looked back at Druwn and held out his hand. "I'm Zack. I hope we cooperate for a while."
Druwn shook his hand, and then they both walked out to a secluded part of the building. In one corner was a group of races gathered together.
There was a dwarf, two elves of different sexes, and a panda. Suddenly a fifth person appeared. It was a chameleon-type beastman.
'How cool,' thought Zack.
"Okay, guys, this is the person who will be accompanying us on our expedition today. His name is Zack." The others in the group looked at him and paid him no attention.
"Forgive them. They're kind of proud," said Druwn, a little embarrassed. Zack, for his part, paid no attention to their attitude.
The group left the place and walked to the back exit of the shelter.
"You plan to go in those clothes? All the way, I thought you had some ability to summon your clothes" Who spoke was the elf who was glaring at Zack.
He looked at her without saying a word, nodded towards the elf, and turned his gaze to continue looking straight ahead.

The new clothes she was wearing could release a transparent aura that served as a shield.
The group lasted a while, walking without encountering a single creature. None of the people found this odd, so Zack didn't ask.
A while later, everyone became alert as they walked.
*Ji Ji Ji Ji*
A group of hyenas appeared as they did the typical laugh that identified them. It didn't take long for them to attack, so the group went into a circular formation.
The hyenas began to pounce like crazy as they lunged to bite.
Zack could notice a red aura coming off the beasts' bodies. 'Miasma' was the only thing he could deduce.
Snapping out of his thoughts, he summoned his spear and, somersaulting, attacked horizontally.
A group of hyenas was thrown backward while others continued to attack. He wanted to act on his own but remembered that he would have to pay compensation if he harmed the group.
His strength was enough to battle the second-grade mid-level beasts. He continued to attack as blood spread all over the place.
Flesh, blood, and a beast slaughtering other beasts was what could be seen. The group was shocked by the strength of this human. Although humans were not weak, only a few came to have such power, and they were all famous. He continued as he took the basic level beasts with him without stopping his massacre while taking his time to kill a mid-level beast.
'If I used my thunder power, that would be great. I need to gain another offensive power soon.' He thought.
The hyenas were cleared in no time, so the group approached Zack but still cautious.
"I didn't know you had such strength being at such a young age. You must be almost ascending to have such power," replied drwun.
And he was correct in that Zack had almost enough stats to climb dimensionally.
Druwn walked to each corpse and used a space ring to collect the bodies and then split the proceeds later.
The group continued to hunt more until it was decided to conclude the hunt for the day. Many tried to get close and familiar with Zack after seeing his show of strength on the other hunts.
"Hey, how about officially joining our group?" asked Drwun, trying to entice Zack.
Zack shook his head at his suggestion. "Sorry, but I usually move on my own. I just wanted to test what the waters are like inside these grounds."
With the hunt they had had, he had made a calculation on his strength currently. He could battle medium-level second-grade beasts using his eye power.
But if these went into the berserk mode, it would make it very difficult for him on his own to take them down.
"Hump, You are being given a great opportunity, and you don't take advantage of it. You really are a waste," Barked the elf.
Zack looked heavily at this one and started to release his energy towards her. The girl, for her part, could feel this murderous pressure and fell to her knees. "If I'm a waste, what are you?"
Zack hadn't killed much, but he didn't need to. He used his hardship and hatred to fuel her aura and affect her.
The other elf tried to speak, but Drwun butted in. "Do nothing. The boy is right beside he was not disrespectful while Diana underestimated and insulted him."
Turning to look at Zack, he said, "I'm sorry for what happened. I promise it won't happen again."
Feeling good about Drwun's words, he just nodded and motioned for them to leave.
Drwun walked ahead while everyone else followed behind and began their journey back to the shelter.

The Sea of Destiny
[Let me be straight with you. This is trash, like old dime store novel trash. Don't expect grandiose writing, anything profound, or much beyond being free of spelling errors. Like my profile says, it’s hopefully like a salty snack, decent and satisfying for people looking for this kind of thing (at least that's my hope). It is simple, weird, and most likely growing in ridiculousness as it rapidly escalates.] Michael just wants to get away after a rough breakup. He figures some time alone cruising on a sick jet ski will help clear his head. After a small series of mishaps he winds up as humanities last hope adrift at sea after nuclear devastation destroys the mainland. First of all I'm writing for fun and I do not have a set schedule. Secondly I am releasing the Prologue as a test and if it gets good reviews I will carry on writing . Also if haven’t read/watched Overlord or Dragon Ball then you probably won’t understand a lot of this so I recommend doing so. My native language is English but there will probably be some mistakes so let me know if you find any. This is my first fiction so any advice is welcomed. Disclaimer:I do not own Dragon Ball or Overlord Other Disclaimer: I also do not own the cover art. If the owner wants me to take it down please tell me and I will do so immediately.
