《Deity's Fragments [Paused]》Chapter 31 - Spectres

***Deadly forest***
Zack was still aiming at the girl after the discovery. At that moment, something came into his head. "Wait, where are the people who were chasing you?"
"Don't worry, it's getting dark now, so they decided to stop chasing me," replied the girl.
Zack put away his bow while he kept his guard up against the girl. She was a stranger, so he knew he wouldn't be able to sleep.
He wasn't interested in the map, which surprised Mia a lot. Zack knew what this one was thinking, but he didn't try to explain. After all, he had many things to do, so he has no time to waste.
"At sunrise, you're leaving," he ordered.
Mia nodded and stood on the side of the branch away from him. This one didn't have to do, so she pulled out a piece of paper and began to read it.
This did not escape Zack's eyes. He could deduce that this might be the map Mia spoke of.
He closed his eyes to rest, but still conscious, he began to mentally go over all the things he would do from now on.
"They're here," muttered Mia as she peered through an opening in the leaves.
Zack didn't know what this one was talking about, so he walked over to the leaves and made an opening to look through.
Underneath all around the forest were transparent bodies with chains attached, that didn't make a sound.
"What are they?" he looked at the girl's face knowing she might know something.
"They are Spectres. They are resistant to magic and physical attacks. The only thing that can harm them is light magic, lightning, martial art or magic that illuminates.
If you don't possess any of these, you better run, or they will suck all the life out of you."
Zack had previously read something about Spectres, so he was amazed to see so many in one place. Spectres appear in areas where there was a lot of death, so many spirits didn't go to limbo but lurked around looking for life again.
He wanted to prove their power and see how he was doing with these wraiths and if they could grant him any benefits.
Almost everything within the dimensions left an advantage, and these Spectres would not be the least of it. Still, he did nothing; he had no business demonstrating his power in front of the girl.

He turned back from the wall and leaned against a tree for a while. He closed his eyes to rest a little, and so he spent the night.
[*Design finished*]
[*Waiting for your permission to integrate wings*]
'Do it' It was almost daylight, so he would have to get to the wasteland soon.
Energy began to pour out of his body, and he began to head for his tattoo on his back. The procedure felt like his back is burning as it's erased and drew a new shape.
After a few minutes, the pain went away. Although he couldn't see the tattoo on his back, he knew it had changed, as he feels burning, but he could tell this one has a shape.
He opened his eyes and could notice Mia looking at him. She turned her face and looked away, just looking at him out of the corner of her eye.
"I won't do anything. I just felt the energy coming from you. That's why I was a little alert."
Zack didn't give this a second thought and stood up from where he was and pulled out his wings.
The same mist turned into wings, but this time it was different than before. It was like worn dragon-like wings with a red hue inside covered Zack.
"Attribute tattoo - dragon wings" Mia's mouth was almost on the floor at the sight of Zack's tattoo. Everyone would know that these wings were a tattoo thanks to the mist that arises from wearing it.
"How can you have these wings? There is no way there is a dragon beast in the first realm. Besides, you would be offending the dragon race by wearing them, aren't you afraid of being their enemy?"
Looking at his wings, he could tell they looked like a dragon, but of course, he had asked for bat wings.
"What dragon are you talking about? These are bat wings" He knew that he would have some explaining to do from now on, which was going to be tedious. He considered the option of switching them back and waiting again.
Still, he denied and pulled that idea out. He had no time to waste; whoever would become an obstacle, he would stomp on them.
"Hey, they really look like dragon wings."

Zack didn't explain and flapped his wings, making the leafy parses fall apart.
"It's time for our paths to part away. I hope our meeting doesn't bring me any trouble." Flapping loudly, he soared as the leaves swirled around.
Mia stared at him as he soared and began to fly away from her.
'Now, if I can fly with dignity,' Zack thought as he moved with his new pair of wings through the forest. (A demon mask, black clothing and bat wings combined with a crimson hue, quite an entity.)
Thinking this, she remembered the good old days, simple clothes, outdoors.
He needed to find a way to be himself again. Sigh.
"Time to speed up and see a new world" he flapped and ascended out of the trees. Soon he could see how that almost endless forest stretched out and how it connected to the desert.
It was a magnificent sight. He felt the wind hit his clothes and put pressure.
It felt great to fly with such freedom. As Zack basked in delight, a giant eagle approached from behind.
Unaware of the danger lurking behind him, he continued forward, enjoying himself.
Soon his senses echoed in his head, snapping him out of his ecstatic state. Looking around, he could see nothing, then he looked down and could see nothing either.
But soon, he noticed it; a giant shadow was approaching from behind at an incredible speed.
*smile*
"Let's see how fast these wings can go" He flapped how hard he could, and he felt how with a jerk, his body started to move at an incredible speed.
'If one considered the difference. Before, he was flying at a speed of 80 K/M while now it increased to 150 K/M.'
Being in the air made it easier for him to control this speed, as he didn't have to be dodging obstacles or worrying about keeping a flow of energy in his eyes.
Even though his speed increased, the beast was still on his heels, getting closer and closer.
"I'm going full speed with high-level bee wings, and yet it's still closing in. It can only be another high-level beast."
I couldn't make out the colours this one had because of the sun's reflection on its body and its remoteness, so I was making deductions.
'How fast will I move if I inject electrical energy to make the wings move faster' His excitement rose as he began to activate his power.
[*Alert! Alert! Alert! *]
[*The energy is too pure for the tattoo. It could be destroyed by receiving such power*]
When he heard this, he stopped concentrating energy and made a sad face. It was like you were going at high speed in your vehicle, but when you want to activate the NOS, you get stopped by the police; they take away all the excitement at the best moment.
'I don't have time to battle this eagle' Slowing his speed a bit, he banked and descended into the forest. He didn't have enough maneuverability to fly into the woods using the wings, so he had to slow down.
Only at a critical moment would he go at full speed and activate his power.
As if the heavens saw his prayers, the eagle also descended into the forest as it chased him and approached faster because of the reduction in speed that Zack made.
'Hm, Try to follow me, stink eagle' Moving his power, his eyes turned blue and flapping again, he began to move at top speed.
But to his eyes, this speed was almost in slow motion; also, unlike before, it could keep this power more active after increasing its control and reducing the amount of energy it expended.
The eagle also maneuvered skillfully, but its large wings often crashed into trees because of how big they were, making the eagle slow down a lot.
Soon Zack was out of sight of the eagle. He, for his part, had a big grin on his face.
"I've reached the wasteland."
He said when he saw a giant camp. "Dragna" It's the name it has, and the dragon race controls it. Unlike the previous shelter, this one has large walls.
It is a city within dimensions.
'You have arrived, Zack,' he thought.
