《Deity's Fragments [Paused]》Chapter 27 - Silvia

Zack passed through the portal with his sister in his arms, falling into a room with some weapons and armour. He returned to the dwarven tent.

Portals can be linked to other portals outside the dimension, allowing you to leave the dimensions to be transported to the linked location.

But it is different when you want to access dimensions; you can only return to the last portal you used, not the one the outer teleporter is linked to.

This is why when you first tried to cross over, someone was always sent with you; when you make physical contact with someone, you can go to the last transporter you used.

The old dwarf arrived at the warehouse after feeling the distortion in space. There he could find two people collapsed on the floor, a boy and an underage girl.

He didn't have to guess who this young man was, since apart from his granddaughter, he had not allowed anyone else to use this teleporter, apart from the masked one.

Zack opened his eyes and found himself in a slightly tattered room with a somewhat cracked ceiling. He moved his body out of bed and took a deep breath before walking out of the room and down some stairs.

Two people were talking on the first floor of the facility.

They noticed Zack's arrival, so the first to speak was the older man. "Come here and eat something."

Zack didn't think much and sat down next to the two dwarves.

His eyes soon widened exaggeratedly, and touching his face, he realized he didn't have his mask on; after the chase, he hadn't had time to put it on. As he immediately went through the portal, he lost all his energy.

Will saw what this one was doing, so he understood and said, "Don't worry, I won't reveal your identity; besides, you were of great help on my planet, the news about what happened on the station spread like hotcakes."

Zack couldn't do anything anymore at this point, so he continued eating. "Where is my sister, and how is she doing?"

"She is fine. Her body is currently tired. An awakening at such a young age is too much for her body, but amazingly her body has almost entirely adapted to her power. If she consumes some cores, she can recover faster.

I don't deny that I was amazed when I saw her; from what I understood, you humans only awaken at your middle age of youth; I can tell she will become an extraordinary prodigy."

Everything Will had said was true. Even if one of the superior races knew something like this happened, they wouldn't hesitate to adopt her.

But he didn't want his sister to have to go through this chaotic world, that same world he loved. He didn't want to see his sister get involved in the dimensions until she reached her necessary age and decided if she wanted to live it or not.

Not all awakened people liked going to the dimensions, so a monitoring division was created to avoid becoming an excuse to skip military school.

"Brother," Silvia was standing at the top of the stairs as she held onto one of the walls. Zack got up from his desk and walked over to her.

Carrying her, he returned her to a room. He could tell that, unlike the one he was in, this one was more organized and luxurious.

"Where is our mother?" he asked as he looked around, not recognizing where she was.

"Mother is in the second dimension; we are in the first", he replied.

The little girl was surprised and, curling up her feet, said. "When will we see mother again? Will we go home?"

Zack denied and put his hand on her head. "We'll be back soon, but now is not the time; you barely awakened your powers, and it attracted bad people; you need to wait for your brother to become strong to protect you."

"I want to become strong too," Silvia said as she looked with a hint of flame in her eyes. She lowered her head again a little sadly and said. "I don't want to stay behind while you protect me; I'll just be in your way. I want to go on adventures with my brother."

Surprised, Zack gave a small smile, and from his storage, he pulled out 5 medium level bee cores and 5 levels 2. "Eat these. They will help you recover faster and get a little more strength."

Silvia took them and, looking at them a bit, decided to eat them one by one.

"Show me your stats," Zack said. The panel was personal, but you had the option to allow others to see it if you wish.

Zack was amazed by his sister's stats, her initial stats were triple what they had been when he started, plus she has a 60% compatibility with her ability. At that rate, she might be able to master it 100% before reaching the third dimension.

He guessed that bonus was thanks to the Vampire class, which was one of the Moon's special classes, now he understood where their arrogance came from and why they belonged to the pillars of the earth.

"Is something wrong, brother?" Zack had been puzzled for a while by the statistics, so Silvia thought something had happened.

He snapped out of his daze and answered. "All good, you're a pretty powerful girl, so you won't need to go out and hunt; for the time being, apply the points you have to your Agility, Strength and Charm stats?"

He hadn't noticed this stat; he had never heard of this before.

'It is said that the maximum amount of points a human can get in the first dimension is 575. It was thought to be because humans started with 25 points and the 575 completed until they reached 600, but there were cases of people with starting stats as high as 30 and still needed 575, which made them a bit stronger than the others.'

This statistic would have to wait for his sister to develop it and see if it is advantageous.

"Looks like I'm not as overpowered as I thought I was. If the others in the Moon family have these characteristics, I could understand where their arrogance is coming from," he said quietly.

"Come on, finish up here and meet me downstairs," he said, a bit discouraged; in the end, his sister had already surpassed him in attitude.

Still, he didn't feel bad; his sister, just by waking up, could already be considered an elite in the first dimension. She just lacked combat experience, which he still didn't know how he would fix it.

He wasn't good at teaching, and his martial skills were based on intuition; it couldn't even be called a martial art, so to speak.

"Old man, I need to talk to you."

Will looked at him and knew that most likely, what he wanted to talk to him about would be a pain in the ass for him, and it was.

After talking for a while, Zack paid 10,000 Star coins to Will to drop his sister off at his store. Will promised to get her a mask to cover her energy, and he would take care of her for at least a year, but she would work in the store.

It was time for Zack to get ready and leave the shelter; he would go to the wastelands, the dimensions' unexplored areas. He needed to get strong and see if he could get some good equipment. After all, a war broke out here that only a few races know a little about.
