《Deity's Fragments [Paused]》Chapter 19 - Stealing

Approaching the central area of the desert, he could find some races hunting beasts. Unlike the other places where he could not find anyone, the deeper he got here, the more groups of people he encountered.
From the place where he was, he could see a small trail moving under the sand. Here there were many opponents, so he would have to act fast and monopolize the beasts he found.
He didn't know if what kind of beast it was, but he wasted no time and threw himself on top of it, thrusting his sword. The beast came out of the ground while making a noise.
It seems that today luck was on his side. 'Could it be that life is rewarding me after so many years of suffering?' he thought.
The beast he had found was the same worm he had lost earlier, but this one didn't seem to be its habitat as it passed by the place without making much noise and could see no others of the same species around these parts.
Zack wasted no time and combined his power with his sword; he launched a flurry of blows that obliterate the beast.
This one saw no escape, so it only screamed while receiving the blows and attacked directly. It looked like a tank that kept going forward while hundreds of bullets hit it.
Zack was waiting for the beast to make this attack. Being a few meters away, the beast opened its mouth to swallow Zack, but this was what he wanted.
He created two electric snake bombs and threw them into the worm's mouth.
These were unraveled from inside the worm, and electricity began to spread into its guts. The beast writhed, and you could even see burns on the outside of its skin. Many of the fighters who were watching what was happening were amazed.
They thought it was an extraordinary lightning power to cause such damage to such a beast; they wondered what race this one belonged to.
[You have killed a basic level 2 earthworm.]
Zack walked to the beast and began to cut, where he felt a flow of energy building up. He pulled out the core and looked at the beast's body. It would be a waste to leave the body discarded, and more so if it is of a level 2 beast.

Although it is a basic level 2 beast, it is even a bit stronger than an average level 1 beast.
Weighing whether he should return, a group of the lizard race approached Zack. "Would you mind selling us the beast?" asked one.
Zack looked at him as if he had seen his savior, but he kept his calm and accepted. He wouldn't go empty-handed this time.
"From its characteristics, I can tell it's a beast at least level 2, I can give you 800 Star coin, even if it's worth more, my group is still looking to make some profit, and we'll have to transport the beast, so what do you think?" spoke the same lizard again, this one seemed to be their leader.
Zack didn't haggle over the price; he knew he could make up to two thousand Star Coin, but it would take a long time to carry the beast back, and he didn't want to waste time going back and forth.
Zack nodded and accepted 800 Star Coin. The lizard motioned to one of the people in the group, and the lizard walked over and placed a necklace on top of the corpse.
The beast's body distorted and entered the necklace. Zack couldn't feel bad that these people wouldn't carry it if they had their means to bring the loot; he wasn't one to judge them.
He took his money, and before he left, the lizard spoke to him again. "Pleasure doing business with you. My name is Ankat." He passed a card to Zack and said, "If you have any bodies you can't carry and want to sell, imbue energy into the card, and we can communicate, the card goes by the house, you won't have to pay for it."
Zack looked at the card for a moment and took it; he didn't know there was such an artifact that existed. Without another word, he nodded towards the lizardmen and left.
…
'Luzbel, did you do the analysis?" Zack asked.
[*Analysis is done. This card seems to have a communication rune, but just as well it contains hidden spells like tracking, I can take care of disabling it and just leave the communication function*]

Zack already knew it wasn't normal for them to be so supportive of him. These were pirates and well trained. "Don't deactivate it yet. Wait for me to get a little further away."
*******
"Sir, the signal is gone," said one of the lizards.
"What do you mean it's gone?" asked Ankat.
"I don't know what happened, but suddenly the signal disappeared." He replied.
"Send a group to track it, now!"
...
Away from the central area, Zack walked while searching for some beasts. It seemed that we must get to the place early to hunt beasts before other groups took them.
The beasts did not end. It was a strange phenomenon where more and more were appearing every hour.
While he was looking around, he could hear a battle raging in the distance. He was curious to know what was going on, as he could listen to a fierce battle.
Zack approached a high mound of earth so that he could watch the battle. In the distance, he could see James and his group battling a yellow scorpion.
"They are fighting a high-level beast" thinking about this, his eyes glowed. The beasts had a chance to become a tattoo, but only the one who struck last.
The group consisted of 2 warriors, three archers, and James, who seemed to have varying abilities. This one could always see the attacks when they approached him. Zack thought his ability was some heightened sense.
The battle had gone on for quite a while until it came to the point where the beast was lying on the ground, unable to move. James was the one who would deliver the last attack while the others would watch.
'The time has come,' he thought as he drew his bow and aimed at James.
James raised his sword with both hands as the tip of the blade was down. He would thrust his sword in, but he put this aside and dropped to the ground. He had felt an object coming towards him.
The group went on high alert at what happened and looked from where the arrow was coming from. They could see Zack on the mountain, but he didn't waste any more time, and using the powers, he gave a big push backward as he ran.
James looked for a while to where Zack was but did not give him much mind. He would take care of him outside the shelter, and he would put more importance on hunting him.
He stood up and looked. He prepared to attack the scorpion but noticed a hole where some electricity was still coming out of. His face turned red with fury; The unknown devil had attacked the beast. He was not the target.
"After him!" he shouted as he ran towards the mound, but he could find no trace of Zack; he was already gone.
"AAAAAAAAAA" James shouted, fury consuming him at the thought that he didn't know if the devil had gotten any tattoos or not.
...
Meanwhile, Zack had a big grin on his face with the notification he had heard earlier.
[You have killed a high level 1 Scorpion Beast]
[The beast sacrificed its soul to reincarnation and left an equipment tattoo].
Zack had no time to check what kind of equipment it was or where the tattoo appeared.
Now his concern was how to get back to the shelter without running into James' group, but his worries didn't last long. He could see a group of people wearing the school's free hunting uniform and decided on his next plan.
He had nowhere to leave his mask, so he slipped it in under his sweater, revealing that he had a bulge underneath.
He walked up to the group, who immediately walked, noticed him, and said, "How are you, fellows? Are you from pandora school alike?"

Combating hypocrisy, youth, bad diet practises and a general lack of respect towards humanity, Walton's struggles are the true adventure of the everyday man. A story about unlikely friendship, being old, unexpected beauty, and the obsession of kicking a round leather ball in the best way possible. A story about a new world, and its possibilities. A story about the grass, and let us hope, a small bit of glory? Author note: This is a project of mine I started in 2016 and recently been writing for again. Writing for me is something I love to do, but can't always find the time for. This is also the reason I have not finished (or come close to) Ethereal Space yet. I get distracted. I started this novel intending to create something else, to break a bit with the current go to's story wise in the litRPG or virtual reality communities. So, this is my attempt at "Something different" I would love feedback or just your general opinion. But most of all, I hope it entertains. Enjoy!

Blind As a Bat [1st book complete]
Book 1 He was cast to the edges of his clan. His father could not stand to even look at him. His baby sister probably didn't even know he was her brother... All because he, unlike all other vampire (The correct terminology will be Wanpyrkos; van-peer-coe-s) kind, was born blind. And what do all creatures do to those that are different, those that do not fit society, those that they think should not have been born to this civilized society...? [Book Cover Made by the wonderful THEMIDNIGHTECLIPSE13] - thank you! I'm only introducing the perspective of the main character for the first part. Things change drastically soon after that. [BDSM entries are clearly marked and written so they can be skipped without affecting the story] ***A couple scenes to whet your palate*** 1. "Uh, we heal from pretty much everything and anything. Have you ever tried physically damaging your eyes to see if they would fully heal?" "N-no. No, it doesn't work," I forced out, my voice a little strangled and cracking before hardening. "And stuff like that, isn't that just wrong?! Hurting someone just to 'fix' them." 2. I leaned and he met me, our soft lips touching and moving perfectly on each other's. I felt as his tongue ran the slit of my lips, my tongue coming to graze it as it passed over, knowing doing so was like catnip to him. He leaned closer, and I shivered as his hands ran from low on my hips and grazed along and up my ribs, pulling my chest closer to his so my body arched and rubbed against him. I hummed in appreciation. [warning: so far aggressive or physical bullying and maybe a little kidnappage and sexual themes as well as possible trigger warnings]
