《Deity's Fragments [Paused]》Chapter 8 - Trouble

While in the cafeteria, Zack was looking at a menu while ordering various things to eat. When he finished, he walked past several tables and made his way to one set apart from the others.
"Can we sit here?" two people approached the table as they sat down without even waiting for their questions to be answered.
It was Dereck and Jin Na. He just looked at them for a few seconds then continued eating in silence.
Another 5 people came and sat down at the table. "Are these your friends Zack?" asked Thomas.
"No, I've barely seen them," he replied briefly as he tried to eat without being disturbed.
"Hey, come on, we've tried to befriend you, and you still have that attitude" this time, Zack was a little surprised. The one who spoke was Jin Na, the quietest one after him.
"Sigh. That's my question. They don't know anything about me. They come over like nothing and want to be my friends; what do they have up their sleeves?"
Thomas and others were listening to the conversation between Zack and the other two people. Even they would find it strange to have two people approach them like that. They couldn't call themselves Zack's friends, but they were his roommates, so eventually, friendship would come.
Before they continued talking, 4 other people approached the table. They were 3 men and a woman; they had features of being Asian.
"Our lady here likes this table; go and find another one." The guy put his hand on the table as he waited for the table to clear.
Everyone started to get up, which surprised Zack, but he didn't think much of it. He had been bullied before, but he was no longer shy and had a Good combat base, although he is a Little rusty.
"Are you deaf?" He said as he looked at Zack, a little furious at his attitude.
Thomas stepped forward as he tried to help. "Zack, we can find better places to go to."

Zack continued to eat slowly while ignoring what these people said, so one of the guys approached while rolling up his shirt sleeves. "Hum, A scum tries to play hard to get, let Lao-Tse teach you."
Before the subject did anything, Zack waved his palm at him, telling him to stop. "I had heard that your people from your continent have a very arrogant attitude. I had read enough novels, and I am disgusted by your attitude. I thought it only happened in novels, and I see I was totally wrong, seeing your attitude hurts the image of those who are not like you and have to be judged by your stupid attitude, can you talk more normal, where does your superiority come from, I don't know who the Lao - I don't know what, you are talking about, you interrupt my meal, get out."
The 4 people were dumbfounded; even Jin Na had never heard someone who offended their culture. That was like having many people as an enemy.
The guy who had spoken before could not stand the anger, so he threw a punch with his left fist towards Zack.
Covering his face with both arms in an X-shape, Zack took the blow that sent his body flying off the seat and crashing into another table.
'Ah, I didn't think I would gain enemies so fast, barely my second day, and I'm already in trouble. What the fuck is wrong with my luck' was the thought he had as he rested his hand on the floor and got up.
As he was hit, he could see that the strength index on his wrist was 35. He had the advantage by 15 points, which gave him the advantage of the battle against only one person.
The guy walked towards Zack, with the other two following him from behind. A fireball formed in his left hand. The girl meanwhile watched from afar with an indifferent look.
The fireball came out of the subject's hand as it headed towards Zack. The body, almost by instinct, made an amount of power move to his eyes, making everything look slower before his eyes.

He tried to control the amount of power he sent to his eyes so as not to faint, so the surrounding details looked less sharp, but he could notice a point within the flame, something he wouldn't be able to see with normal eyes.
He didn't have to think long to understand that this was the core of the flame, he needed to move his body and intercept it to test his theory, but his body's reaction did not match that of his eyes.
He used more energy, but instead of sending it to his eyes, he sent it to his brain; if he wanted to react faster, he would have to make his level of thinking and body control faster.
His brain began to think faster, so fast that it made him look like a processor controlling and analyzing a large number of thoughts.
Moving his body forward, he focused more power on the tip of his index finger on his right arm and touched the flame feeling its burning. Still, soon he stopped feeling it when his finger all over the core and the energy emitting from the finger caused the core to destabilize.
The flame disappeared, making everyone's mouth drop open, including the girl who had remained in the back.
Taking advantage of the fact that everyone was stunned, Zack wasted no time and, making his energy refocused only on his eyes, rushed towards the guy who had attacked him before, moving another part of his energy to his right fist while attacking in the direction of his chest.
When he wanted to realize what was happening, it was too late. A fist hit his chest, making him fly backwards while he felt that his energy was out of control. This caused him to vomit blood as he fell.
Another one of the attackers unskillfully lunged at Zack. Throwing a kick, he tried to hit the head but missed. Zack had ducked, and as he did, so he did a sweep with one of his legs, causing the person who had attacked him to fall backwards.
Deactivating his ability, Zack looked towards the other two people while sweating from the amount of energy he had expended. He barely had about 35 energy points left.
Everyone in the cafeteria watching the fight was open-mouthed. One person had taken on two others so easily.
Seven people stood next to Zack, and these were Thomas and his companions, along with Dereck and Jin Na. Although they were stunned by the fight, they soon decided to join in.
Even though they had not helped initially, Zack did not bother as they were not friends and had no reason to make an enemy.
The Asian girl looked at Zack with interest, but she could only standstill when the other people approached. She made a sign, and the boy who was left standing approached to help the others to get up and, at the same time, retreat.
Seeing the attackers leaving, he could only sigh. He didn't mind expending what was left of his energy to keep fighting, even if it caused him to pass out.
He wasn't surprised that the school disregarded the incident. Only if a life was in danger would they act.
"Thank you" was all she said as she left to take a nap in her room.
"Be careful, after offending the Chen's; I doubt your life will be peaceful from now on."
He saw Dereck leaving with Jin Na. 'So he was part of one of the 5 families. This is going to be troublesome,' he thought.
If you watched closely, you could see how his fist was shaking slightly from the earlier fight. He let out a small smile and thought, 'So this is the adrenaline rush of fighting, I like it.

She knew that people went into the world known as New Eden because they volunteered. She also knew that rarely other people were forcefully drawn in; these were referred to as the chosen. Heather didn’t pay much attention to it all. For most of the world, things went on like they always had. She had classes to attend and boys to tease, and her cell phone was her world. That was until she woke in a forest clearing and realized she had been chosen. Discord Server
