《In Pursuit Of Accolades》School Day Shenanigans

A string of words twisted and winding, in one ear and out the other.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mr. Sinclair was a stout man, coupled with his relatively short size. Before school, during our online introductions his loud tendencies inspired a picture of a much larger man within many of us.
However seeing the diminutive professor in person surprised many of us, and made the first class that much more memorable.
The boisterous professor was always Bouncing around on his feet. Walking around the class on multiple occasions every day, he had earned himself a reputation as quite the hardworker.
Perhaps his talents could have been put to better use in a different wing of the school, but sadly he was assigned to freshman year history instead.
He is usually very disappointed with his assignment, but is a avid fan of all things medieval.
Everyday I had seen the professor he was always smiling and trying to interact with various students in the class.
Was this an effort to raise likablity in the campus?
A way to establish Credibility?
Or an attempt to feel personally important?
I don't know...
Christine had already walked over to the far right corner of the classroom after giving Mr. Sinclair basic greetings.
20 minutes into the class, after a sufficiently long winded story I Pulled out my phone behind my bag on the table and started scrolling through the news to pass the time.
He is just going to refer a section of reading at the end of class after all.
I got through about five articles on the in-depth instructions of various quiche recipes. Complete with the persons entire life story to boot.
"Greg mind telling me what is so important".
looks like Mr. Sinclair noticed.
"Sorry Sir".
"Don't let me see it again today and we'll be square".
Making a point of noticing my interruption, he decided to start his story over again.
He took the liberty with embellishing the details this time around.
I don't think he is a bad dude, but I just don't appreciate his attempt to signal me out again.
Half the class are in their phone and the other half are dozing off, even though
Yeah It probably has something to do with my joke about his height the other day.
We were talking about the Hundred Years' War and Mr. Sinclair pulled out a picture of himself dressed as royalty for what I can assume to be some sort of role playing fair that he went to.
When I saw the picture, I was in awe of how in character he looked and directly related his appearance to one of my childhood favorite characters.
The haughty look on his face that followed my observation very closely resembled the one in the photo.
He did not appreciate the Shrek reference very much, and I seem to be paying of that debt to this day.
80 minutes later
Mr. Sinclair's class ended and luckily It was going to be a short day for me as I had lost most of my social energy by midway last period.
I am also starting to feel the negative effects of my caffeine overdose this morning as well. Coffee is such a cruel mistress.
I lament inwardly as I head to my next class for the day...
Getting home I made a quick Mac and Cheese mix with hotdogs before putting half back in the fridge for my roommate.
I did use his food to cook after all.
Beyond exhausted I collapse In my dorm bed.
I will deal with him in the morning.
