Mr. Hakki and the president were in the president's room.
Mr. Hakki: "He is a fast learner. He learned to cast fireball all by himself. Normally, people would undergo at least three years of training."
The president: "Really?"
The way she sat on her chair, the way she spoke were all released a sexy aura.
Mr. Hakki: "I didn't know that he learned. One has to learn to trick one's mind to use magic. How did he do that like it is so natural?"
The president: "He may not know but he burned our soccer field once, accidentally. We made some tests and learned how his body works. We don't know if it is a star power or not but if he is unconscious and gets attacked like that, his body moves automatically until all his mana gets burned. We call this state 'berserker'. But he can't use it if he is not damaged after he fainted."
Mr. Hakki: "So that thing may not save him all the time. By the way, what will you do with the trio who attacked them?"
The president: "I won't punish them. I will just invoice all the damage they have done to the roads to their parents including the damage they caused the other day. If you meet their parents, you will understand what kind of hell they will go through."
Mr. Hakki: "I understand."

The nurse waved at Kepyun meaning 'follow me'. He carried them to where the nurse went. The nurse shouted when they got near to the room of the doctor.
Nurse; "Mrs. Adamaris, there are patients need your immediate attention."
Mrs. Adamaris: "Bring them in."
The nurse opened the door. Kepyun carried them inside and placed them on beds. The doctor started to check them while asking questions to Kepyun.

Mrs. Adamaris: "Did they fight?"
Kepyun: "I don't know, they were like that when I found them."
Olga: "We fought against three shamans."
Kepyun got surprised and asked.
Kepyun: "Were you awake all this time?"
Olga nodded.
Kepyun: "Then why didn't you speak on the way here?"
Olga: "Because I didn't want to."
Kepyun: "Are you an idiot? I was worried about you. That other idiot told me that he will recruit you to our party. I thought he tried some strange things."
Olga was looking at him with wide eyes. She was called 'idiot'. There has never been a time someone called her 'idiot'.
Olga: "Did you just call me an 'idiot'?"
Kepyun's brows got creased. He shouted with anger.
Kepyun: "You really are an idiot! Is this the time to worry about those small details? I should reconsider about you joining our party. I might not need any external help but I don't want to have a party member who would drag me down!"
Olga began to laugh out loudly. Kepyun was thinking about if she had a hit to her head. Olga stopped laughing and made her calm grinning smile.
Olga: "I already agreed to be a member of your party."
The smile of her looked like it was a part of her face. Smiling absurdly and randomly... Kepyun was thinking; 'She must be mentally ill.'.
Kepyun: "Mrs. Doctor, please heal her mental illness while you are at it."
He didn't want to stay there anymore. Left the room without saying anything. He was waiting at a bench outside the infirmary.
Mrs. Adamaris: "Your foot is injured but it is nothing serious. Rest for a few days and it should heal."
Olga stopped smiling and: "What about his condition?"

Mrs. Adamaris: "He is just sleeping... There is nothing wrong with his body except a few scars. His mana is depleted though. Don't worry, he is OK."
Olga didn't speak. She was thinking of how hard hits Sakar took. The previous day, she hit him with all her might and wind but failed to even inflict any real damage. Today he got smacked by rocks, got pummeled by a strong person. Took so many hits yet he is still OK... But the strangest part was the heat radiated from him when he coated himself with the fire. He melted the ground yet took no damage. If she is caught by a strong wind she created she would get damaged. But Sakar's unknown magic was different. It was not hurting himself. She was thinking of asking about this to Mr. Hakki.
Mrs. Adamaris: "Rest a little bit and leave. I will shoo him away when he wakes up. You guys made me panic for no reason. Nurse! You have a fault too. Take them to the resting rooms."
A half-hour later Kepyun entered the infirmary to check their situations. He learned that they are fine from the nurse. The nurse scolded him for overreacting about their situations when he came. She complained about how she got scolded by Mrs. Adamaris. Kepyun apologized and went to where Sakar was sleeping.
Olga was sitting in a comfortable chair. He asked.
Kepyun: "Why didn't you still leave?"
Olga: "I am waiting for him to wake up."
Kepyun: "I will carry him back to our dorm. You might leave."
Olga: "I will come with you."
Kepyun: "I don't want you to accompany me."
Olga: "Most boys would celebrate if I told them that I want to tag them. What is wrong with you?"
Kepyun: "Shut up! Ugly b*tch!"
Olga's eyes widened. She was thinking of the line: 'How can he find me ugly?'.
Olga: "You agree or not, I am coming with you."
Kepyun didn't answer, just picked up Sakar. He left the infirmary and was slowly moving to their dorm.
He didn't utter even one word. They silently went to the dorm.
They entered the room and Olga broke the silence after Kepyun placed Sakar on his bed.
Olga: "I can wake him up if you want."
Kepyun: "I shook him a lot while going to the infirmary and coming back to the dorm. He didn't wake up. I don't think you can..."
Olga shouted with an indifferent expression and tone.
Olga: "I think this room is hot, should I take off my clothes?"
Kepyun: "Clothes are shackles of soc..."
Kepyun was about to say 'society' when he stopped. His eyes popped out at the sight of Sakar. Sakar wasn't sleeping anymore. He got up and was looking at Olga with shining eyes.
Olga: "I told you that I can wake him up."
Kepyun didn't make any comment. He was just amazed at the total idiocracy he witnessed today.

I am using this short story collection as a way to test the waters before I seriously consider publishing a novel. As English isn't my mother tongue, I would appreciate it if native speakers, anglicists or any other proficient users of the English language could kindly inform me about any mistakes in grammar or word choice so that I may correct it. The same applies to any sentence or paragraph that may sound unnatural in English.

8 165Elder's Game
In a world set upon by an ancient threat, a new cycle of civilisation competes for power and resources. Amidst the games and politicking of Elder beings, the masses are unknowingly ensnared in plots and schemes that were centuries in the making. At the heart of the world’s workings lies the Tyreal Valley—a land that promises to fulfil the desires of those who seek it. As a haven for the truly strong, the path to this promise is paved more often than not in warfare and blood. To two young stragglers fighting for more than just their own fates, it is left as their only answer. But maybe that’s just what their enemies want. Magic system vaguely similar to GameLit ones (no system nor interface to help), with certain elements that are a bit more analogue. Politics, war, looming apocalypse, a tiny dash of kingdom building, and a minor bit of crafting. There is a bit of a progression element as well as both environmental and cultural exploration. The story follows two youths more directly influenced by aforementioned Elder beings than most. Neither lead cares for politics but certain situations force them into participating, forcing them to make decisions that shape their morality. Initially, the focus is on the male lead as he comes of age in an environment with little scope to change his future, only to be thrust into new circumstances that permanently kill some of his hopes. 3k words every chapter

Release Schedule: Tuesdays & Fridays @ 10AM PST This work has cannon LGBT themes, characters, and situations but does not have explicit sexual content. Originally started in 2005 as a form of self-therapy writing has helped heal many of my wounds. The world grew until the concept of it being self-therapy did not contain it anymore. I scrapped what I had written to that point using it as an outline and started over, building it into a novel format. Containing stories of a diverse population and multiple lead characters each chapter centers on the perspective on the main character in the chapter. Blurb & Section Information Set five hundred years into Earth's future is this sci-fi political space opera. After a solar system fractured by conservative vs. liberal politics begins to settle, humanity is on the cusp of an amazing breakthrough in understanding the universe around them.
