36 . The battle that will decide the future of Citadel II
The battle was beginning to last now, much damage had been received by both sides. The wounded and dead were present everywhere, the healers were on their kneecaps, the soldiers were also exhausted but they had to go on as well. The sounds of the swords were much less audible than before, the loudest sounds were those coming from the two chiefs crossing the iron. Their fight had been going on for at least half an hour, wounds had appeared on both men's bodies, the Duke's arm was cut deeply, on the other man it was his leg that was the most wounded. The battle was getting closer to the city walls, the soldiers wanted to gain ground on their vanished brother.
They were numerous but not enough to repel the assault of the airmen, their attack was stronger but especially than the magi on the vanir side, starting to lack energy. A mage cannot cast spells indefinitely, the need for energy for all spells that are lethal enough is very high. Due to the number of mages in the close vicinity, the natural energy particles have decreased drastically, which makes it much harder to absorb energy for these spells. On the side of the asgardian the endurance also decreased, the less powerful of them had been exhausted for a long time. This was seen less on their effort to win the battle because they are more powerful than the vanir, their divine spark is more present dear to the aesir than the vanir.
Izel was also tired but more mentally than physically, he recovered energy well from the enemies, but this was not always enough to be mentally at the top. Thanks to this, he was able to finish off the dying air, even though it will surely hurt his head later. The memories he's going to have later don't preoccupy him in the moment, usually he avoided doing it too often in the same day, as it brings him pain on his soul. People's memories are not always happy, there are even recurring memories that don't want to leave or very difficult to leave. He has already had nightmares about certain memories he had received, a father who lost his children during a war, this marked him even if he manages to differentiate between those real memories and those that recover them.

When he sent his energy to scan the surroundings, he felt a lot of different energy, the energy particle was really chaotic. Energy similar to the soul that he assimilated was present in the air, much less pure, but by the sheer numbers it was impressive. Some particle which from what he knows is soul energy, it came from itself to him and was assimilated by his soul. It repaired his soul, the more the fight continued the more his soul was restored. The anxiety of what was causing this was growing in his mind, he asked why the particles were coming from herself, he said he should ask the association.
He had heard that a particular master who was often traveling knew more about the soul and spirit.

Point of view of IZEL
I can't rest for five minutes since the beginning of this battle, I've been running long and wide in this plain. I saw all these soldiers who were wounded and that did not reassure me at all, to see all that died in our camp did not augur well for us. The Duke didn't look good, I don't know if he will be able to win this battle. I may have an idea how to get him back, but I don't know if it will work at all. I'm getting closer to their fight gradually, for my plan I should be close enough for the spell to work. No one had spotted me until now because I was sneaking out to hurt while hurting while heading towards the duke.
At the moment when the distance between us was optimal, I was afraid because an opposing fighter saw me. I saw him approaching at high speed and I had to hurry if I wanted it to work, my energy was gathering at the tips of my fingers.

The gestures of the spell was easy, this allows me to better control my energy, quite quickly the sigils was executed my energy this move up to the duke. At the moments when she touched the duke's skin the complexion of the duke improved, Higin was smart enough to take advantage of this spell to attack the enemy even more brutally. The fight afterwards was much more advantageous for our camp, the Duke's wounds healed quite quickly. Three quarters of my energy went into the Duke, I had to hurry to leave before the soldiers attacked me, I infused magic into my box and I jumped back, turned around, climbing up the soldiers and retreated into the rear lines. It wasn't easy to do this because the soldiers were moving around a lot, I even had to slide under the legs of some of them to get out.
When I got to the back lines I landed on a pillar, I was short of breath, my breathing was exhausted. I can't wait for this battle to end because I can't take it anymore, my energy was drained in this battle. I hope that my plan will work so that the Duke will win the battle of the leaders so that he may ask for the retreat, with that normally I could rest. My little ones haven't been hurt yet, I've been taking care of them in case it happens. They have done a lot of good around them by saving everything that is injured, and they have learned to tell the difference between injuries to know if it is serious.
Otr was close to his mother, he served as her assistant and especially as a mount for those I saw. He didn't seem to like it so much, the look on his face when he had to do it for the first time during his training was really funny. I hope he'll be okay at the end of this conflict. A foghorn sounded and I wondered where it came from, I looked around to see what had happened. The noise came from the enemy camp, all the soldiers who were in front of us were gradually retreating, a rocket to fly by our side was the signal of the end. A sigh came immediately, my body relaxed all of a sudden, I slipped on the pillar and ended up sitting down. My children immediately came to me to commune with me and to share the relief between us.
Cuau showed me the scene that had caused the retreat, the Duke had taken advantage of his good health to send powerful sword blows. This had ended up being beneficial for him because one sword hit his target, which was his chest. The blade sliced from the bottom of the blow to the end of the torso, blood appeared immediately. The last mistake this man made was to think that the person who helped the Duke was not as good at caring.

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
